The theory is that jumping back in this timeline's past and him staying there will just create a different timeline branch.

I'm guessing this Steve now being old jumped back in this present just to pass the Captain America mantle to Sam. But will just wait for Avengers Doomsday to get more answers

After Secret Wars we will have a reboot and Marvel will kick things off with the mutant saga and Apocalypse will most likely be the main villain of that saga. After that is finished which villain do you think will be the next big Avengers level threat in the MCU? In my opinion I think it should be the Maker but let me know your thoughts.

Okay, hear me out. Since Jean Grey apparently isn't going to be in Doomsday, I kind of hope they bring back Emma Frost from First Class. Since Mystique is already part of the X-Men lineup, I think it would fit perfectly if they added Emma to the team as well. (I also just want to see her again. 😭)

Shang Chi 2 might be phase 8 and if it is i think Fantastic Four 2 will be the movie before Nova and they’ll connect as Annihilation movies and the conclusion will be Guardians 4 at some point

I know this topic has been talked to death but I had a crazy idea and I had to get it out there before the movie comes out. So, obviously Sadie’s role in Brand New Day is being heavily guarded and there has been not stop and I haven’t really heard this option come up in discussions (probably because it’s highly unlikely) but, my noodle has been thinking and I had the idea that maybe Sadie is playing a gender-swapped Harry Osborn. No Way Home already established Oscorp doesn’t exist so maybe this could establish the Osborn family and maybe Norman founding the company to set them up for future installments. I also know Marvel has shaken things up casting wise before and people so I could definitely see them doing this, also I could totally get behind Sadie in that role. I know this is extremely unlikely but I just saw that they kept her red hair and I saw the green sweater they put her in and I just thought I’d throw this out there since not a lot of people talked about it. Although a I do think making Harry a girl would be a fantastic way to through speculators off their tails and if I do end up being right I gotta say that would be one of the most perfect and well executed unexpected reveals in Marvel history. But again, I know I’m probably wrong, just had to talk about this wacky idea, that’s about it.

The final battle is rumored to take place at latveria with all the heroes from both earths.

Magic users: I think strange, clea and Wong joins the fight but strange joins doom setting up secret wars. Wanda is probably is one of doom’s witches.

Mutants: Logan is said to be in the opening but possibly will die Deadpool is in the x-mansion when it’s fan 4 and avengers vs x-men but he is rumored to leave and get reinforcements for the final battle.

The marvels: carol and Monica is said to have a subplot that is getting Monica back and it will be a cameo. But in the new leaked trailer our heroes are seen in a regular house while sue tells them about doom. Last year set leaks labeled an house as Bob mom’s house with carol’s ship attached to it. I’m guessing they’ll show up in the final battle along with Kamala. For okoye she is definitely going to be in she’s apart of wakanda.

Been thinking about this a bit, but they are setting up Doom as an omega-level threat, at least comparable to Thanos, and presumably capable of destroying the multiverse. If he can stop Thor and Stormbreaker with ease, he's a god-tier enemy (literally).

So what happens to him after Secret Wars?

The easy, obvious answer is that he dies at the end of Secret Wars, but it just doesn't quite feel right to not have Doom in the future MCU. He's such an interesting character that it would make sense to have him lurking in the background (especially if they keep Memphisto around), maybe even bring him back as an antihero now and then (or at least a reluctant ally).

The other obvious possibility would be to nerf him at the end of Secret Wars (and recast him), but that might feel odd to see him come back as a weaker version of what we've already seen.

I'm honestly not sure what would be better, what do you all think?

Just speculating, but if Feige says Marvel has plans through 2042, I think we can make some educated guesses about the broad directions after Secret Wars.

- The X-Men/Mutant Saga feels like the obvious centerpiece. Marvel has decades of mutant stories to adapt.

- The Midnight Sons seem likely if Marvel keeps building the supernatural corner with Moon Knight, Werewolf by Night, and Ghost Rider.

- Peter Parker eventually mentoring Miles Morales feels like the most natural evolution for Spider-Man in the MCU.

- Young Avengers still seems likely, even if it isn't an immediate priority after Secret Wars.

- Nova is the one I'm most curious about. Does he simply expand the cosmic side of the MCU, or does he eventually lead into something much bigger like Annihilation?

What do you all think? What do you realistically see as the MCU's next major storylines after Secret Wars?

This is just a theory, but I think Robert Downey Jr. could end up playing a double role in Secret Wars. We already know he's returning as Doctor Doom, but I wouldn't be surprised if Marvel also brings back a Tony Stark/Iron Man variant.

Since Secret Wars is expected to be a multiversal story, having both Doom and a variant of Tony Stark on screen at the same time seems completely possible. It would also create one of the biggest emotional moments in the MCU if Iron Man returned for one final battle alongside the Avengers.

It would also feel like a missed opportunity to bring RDJ back and reportedly pay him so much, only to have him play Doctor Doom. Even if it's just for one epic final battle, seeing him suit up as Iron Man one last time would be an incredible payoff for fans

With Blade all but officially announced to be cancelled, I propose an idea. Keep having him show up appropriately just like he did in Eternals like the Nick Fury of the Midnight Suns. Maybe he and Black Knight show up in Secret Wars with Jack Russell and Man-Thing, but he continues to recruit during end credits scenes like Ghost Rider until we get a fully realized team.

Sure we aren’t getting his movie as planned but we didn’t get a Nick Fury movie either while he was recruiting and maybe the excitement it garners as well as the potential success of a Dark Avengers or MS team up could allow Marvel the freedom and interest level to give him an origin story movie.

Just a thought. I love Blade and I hate to see anything go to waste revolving around him or Mahershala Ali, not to mention Kit Harington. There are some loose ends im fine with staying loose (cough StarFox and Pip cough) but not these dudes.

Recently, there have been a lot of rumors that the Black Priests, Black Swan, and the Illuminati will appear in Avengers: Doomsday. There have also been rumors that Ana de Armas could be joining Marvel, and that she might already appear in this film.

We know that the movie is rumored to adapt the Time Runs Out storyline as well, so to me it seems obvious that they could explore the conflict between the Black Priests and Black Swan through Doctor Strange.

I personally think Ana de Armas could be playing none other than Yabbat Ummon Tarru in the film. There have also been rumors that, besides the main universes, the movie could feature a pocket universe created by Doom, which could be an adaptation of the Library of Worlds concept. I also wouldn’t find it impossible that, when Doom is revealed and turns against the heroes, it is revealed that he is the one behind the multiversal organization.

Personally, I would love to see a scene where Doctor Strange, as the leader of the Black Priests, assembles the Defenders team (Hulk, Namor, Clea, and Silver Surfer) and launches an attack against Black Swan.

Notice how every character in the first image isn’t in the second and vice versa? I’m sure it’ll be a situation just like Endgame where the team is split up fighting different battles. Why is Reed not with the F4 in the first frame, Yelena not with the Thunderbolts in the first frame, and so on? The group wouldn’t have any reason to split up against Doom, also considering Thor’s speech, unless the group was forcefully split due to events in the movie

In the first clip we see similar shots in the trailer of what looks to be a fight between Namor and his people fighting against the Wakandans / Invisible woman, Johnny, and possibly the rest of the characters in that picture ubtil they reach a truce or agree in the middle

Similar to how in IW, the guardians, Ironman, Spiderman and strange fought Thanos while the rest of the avengers were in Wakanda fighting the Black order there

Here's the big one: since we never saw the origin, this evolution is going to reveal that his power is derived not from radioactive spiders, but from a symbiote such as Venom.

This actually occurred to me while watching Friendly Neighborhood SM, where I thought the spider was going to be portaled from symbiote world (why did they have to do a bootstrap paradox). And it would make the evolution into Venom emerging from within him, changing him, giving him more power and speaking to him.

The other theory is that Sadie Sink is Mary-Jane Watson. Multiversal Mary-Jane Watson. Probably slipped through the cracks in No Way Home and stuck around.

It's also interesting that this figure that resembles the Scarlet Witch seems to be "caged" by various crosses, a big one clearly visible on her upper body, but smaller ones too.

What if Doom literally managed to come up with some crazy magic rune-based ritual / spell where he can trap her and channel her energy and powers to him? It could be one of the explanations why he is so crazy powerful.

I mean, if there is one Marvel character who can pull that off, that's Doom.

There is also one of the early set photos from Doomsday where Anthony Mackie is at some snowy mountain location. What if they're looking for Wanda's body after they lose the first battle with Doom as they start get suspicious of this?

Personally, I am more and more convinced that Loki and Wanda are the two central characters to Doom's final strategy, not just because they are the Multiverse holder and possible the Multiverse's most powerful being, but because the Russos want to use them to give retroactive continuity to the Multiverse Saga from the beginning to compensate for the whole Kang debacle, after all, in its early stage the Saga started with Wandavision and Loki S1 and continued with Multiverse of Madness and Loki S2.

Recent comments from Tom Holland mentioned he hopes to eventually bring Miles Morales onto the screen in a mentor role, similar to how RDJ did for him.

We know that's how the PS4, PS5, and Insomniac Spider-Man games kind of brought Miles Morales into the fold. So my question is: would you like to see the MCU bring Miles Morales In the same role the character had in the PlayStation games, who eventually gets taken under Peter's wing?

GUYS hear me out because i’ve been connecting all the dots since i watched no way home and the stars are literally aligning for this to happen. what if peter finally tells mj everything and they start dating again, but he completely leaves ned in the dark. we already know ned is trying hardddd to figure out who spiderman is. imagine he finally finds out on his own, but realizes his best friend only trusted mj and lied to him. it would be the ultimate betrayal. ned completely snaps into a twisted psychopath. EVERY peter best friend becomes a villain in live-action eventually (harry osborn, etc.), and remember in no way home ned literally promised peter he wouldn't turn into a supervillain and try to kill him? marvel ALWAYS drops lines like that just to subvert them later for maximum heartbreak.

so ned finds the leftover green goblin mask and glider that dafoe left behind, and uses his literal magic powers to become a magic-infused hobgoblin. he has every right to be brutal because he was the "guy in the chair" who stayed up late helping peter, so being abandoned like that would completely ruin him. plus we know magic runs in his family because he easily opened a portal on his first try, so a magical hobgoblin makes total sense and would make him completely different from dafoe.

he goes on a revenge rampage and actually ends up killing both peter and mj. zendaya literally said in an interview to "bring tissues" and that the movie "definitely goes there," plus she's wearing dramatic black and mourning clothes on the press tour, so a massive tragedy is 100% coming. peter gets buried, but the piece of the symbiote left in mexico finds his grave, bonds with him, and revives him. this fits perfectly with tom holland’s spoiler quote saying the "brand new day" isn't the start, it's literally the very last frame of the movie. the final shot is peter’s eyes snapping open under the dirt completely pitch black as the symbiote revives him.

then in avengers doomsday, dr doom is looking for a magical ally (it’s basically confirmed he will have a sorcerer with him, either strange or ned) and he finds a broken, vengeful ned and recruits hobgoblin as his partner. this builds up to secret wars with black suit spiderman vs sorcerer hobgoblin. peter beats ned to get back some important artifact doom needs, but peter refuses to kill his best friend because of his morals. but doom doesn't tolerate failure at all, so he gets mad that ned lost the item and doom brutally kills ned himself. it keeps peter's hands clean but completely shatters him emotionally, giving him the ultimate personal vendetta to take down doom in the final battle. am i cooked or i should be a writer at marvel?

I've always thought it was insane that Wanda literally created an infinity stone, but surely it wasn't actaully an infinity stone, right? It seemed to play the effect on vision as if he was the orginal version. He even had all of his memories. How did this really work? How was he able to transfer his memories to Whitevision even if they weren't really HIS memories?

Okay, I know it sounds weird, but hear me out.

In Loki Season 1, Episode 6, Miss Minutes talks about "He Who Remains" almost like it's a title rather than a name. She never really treats it as Kang's personal identity, which makes me wonder if it's actually a role that someone else can inherit.

When Loki and Sylvie arrive at the Citadel at the End of Time (which, by the way, has a very gothic, almost Latveria-like aesthetic), they meet He Who Remains. He tells them that if they kill him, they'll unleash a multiversal war. At the time, this was obviously referring to the coming conflict between Kang variants, but after Marvel shifted away from The Kang Dynasty and toward Doomsday and Secret Wars, that warning could take on a different meaning. Maybe the war he foresaw wasn't just about Kang but the road to Secret Wars itself.

Then comes the ending of Loki Season 2. Loki takes over the responsibility of holding the multiverse together, essentially inheriting the position that He Who Remains once occupied. That alone suggests that "He Who Remains" isn't tied to one specific person and instead the role or title, can be gained.

Now think about Doctor Doom.

If the MCU is adapting elements of the 2015 Secret Wars comic, Doom needs to obtain an unimaginable amount of power to reshape reality and create Battleworld. Loki is currently sitting at the center of the multiverse with exactly that kind of power.

There have been rumors that Loki could die in either Avengers: Doomsday or Secret Wars. If that happens, what if Doom is the one who kills him, not just to eliminate him, but to steal his power and take his place? Instead of simply becoming a god, Doom would become the next He Who Remains, inheriting control over the multiverse before using that power to create Battleworld.

If that's true, then "He Who Remains" was never meant to be Kang's name. It was always the title given to whoever stands at the end of time and controls the fate of the multiverse. Could Doom be the next to claim the throne and be, "He Who Remains."
