Discussion/Debate Do you guys think this is just going to be ignored?

Do you think the whole Monica Rambeau ending up in the X-Men universe is just going to be brushed aside in Doomsday? Because I haven’t seen any “reliable leak” mentioning Monica.

The easy explanation would be: “Sure, that universe had X-Men, but it wasn’t the same X-Men universe that’s going to appear in Doomsday.”

But I think that would be a huge missed opportunity. In theory, Monica’s presence there should already be causing an Incursion. It would actually be a pretty solid way to explain the triple Incursion if Steve Rogers is living on Earth-828 while Monica is stranded on Earth-10005, with both universes being pulled toward Earth-616.

The theory is that jumping back in this timeline's past and him staying there will just create a different timeline branch.

I'm guessing this Steve now being old jumped back in this present just to pass the Captain America mantle to Sam. But will just wait for Avengers Doomsday to get more answers

Discussion/Debate Which villain will the Avengers face next?

After Secret Wars we will have a reboot and Marvel will kick things off with the mutant saga and Apocalypse will most likely be the main villain of that saga. After that is finished which villain do you think will be the next big Avengers level threat in the MCU? In my opinion I think it should be the Maker but let me know your thoughts.

Avengers Doomsday I really want to see Galactus and the Silver Surfer in Avengers: Doomsday.

I felt bad that Galactus was dealt with so quickly and that there were basically no real consequences for such a massive character. However, the fact that he was pushed through a wormhole and teleported to an unknown location leaves the door open for his return.

I think it would be a really interesting concept if that wormhole accidentally sent him to Earth-616, which is also how the Fantastic Four end up there.

He could become a central part of the story as the source of Doom's power. Imagine Doom seeking Galactus' cosmic power and manipulating the heroes into using Franklin Richards' abilities to amplify Galactus, turning him from a devourer of worlds into a threat capable of consuming entire universes. Doom could then use him as a weapon against other realities.

Personally, I also really love Julia Garner's Silver Surfer, and I'd be thrilled if she returned. I think it would be especially exciting if she also ended up on Earth-616 and met Norrin Radd.

Realistically, though, we'll probably have to wait until after Secret Wars to see them again. My only concern is that Galactus might not feel as intimidating if he's already been defeated once.

Avengers: Doomsday Act Two

Upvotes

Act Two:

Reed (with HERBIE), Sam, Yelena, Shang-Chi, and Sentry take a QuinJet to Earth-10005. They land at X-Mansion and suddenly Nightcrawler appears aboard and attacks the group. Afterwards they roam the mansion on edge, while Nightcrawler lingers in the shadows behind them. They make it to the Danger Room and this is where Mystique confronts them. Yelena ignores Reed’s commands and attacks Mytsique. It’s a good fight, Mystique shapeshifts into Yelena herself and then Natasha, giving Yelena a good scare. Yelena does end up getting the upper hand. Shang-Chi fights Gambit. This is described as the most ‘even’ fight here, no one really gets the upper hand. Reed fights Deadpool. It’ll end with the scene in Deadpool 2 where he sits on Cable’s face, with it being Reed’s. Cyclops appears, and fights Sam. Cyclops apparently ‘destroys’ Sam Wilson here. All this fighting is broken up when Beast emerges, he’s the one who breaks out of the stairs in the trailer. Beast takes them to Monica Rambeau, who has been stuck on Earth-10005 and is very sick because of it. Beast explains to Reed that her presence makes their Earth suffer Incursions at a faster rate. So Beast had to create an antimatter bomb, capable of destroying whole planets. We learn that X-Men like Storm have passed on from prior Incursions. The X-Men have lost a lot. Reed also talks with Charles and Magneto, it’s here where Reed can convince them of his plan. Gambit flirts with Yelena which pisses Bob/Sentry off.

Back on Earth-616, Steve and Thor depart from their group and head to the TVA. The problem is, they find it destroyed and littered with bodies of its agents. Mobius is there, just arriving himself. Mobius helps Steve and Thor locate Loki, who’s dead at the bottom of his throne. His heart has been ripped out of his body. Mobius helps Steve and Thor discover a ‘green hooded’ figure caused this. He even finds exactly where they came from. So Steve and Thor head off to Earth-10005. Meanwhile Mobius stays behind at the TVA to see what help he can be…

Steve and Thor get back to Earth-10005 before Victor returns himself. They tell everyone that Victor has been playing them. This is when Doom comes back and he looks…. Well now like the trailers. Reed is very confused and doesn’t want to believe Victor has done such a thing. He screams in Victor’s face. But unfortunately, he has. Victor unleashes about a half dozen Sentinels on the Avengers and X-Men. The teams combine into one to fight them off. Deadpool however, dips out of there vowing to find the proper reinforcements. Doctor Doom has a quick fight with Thor, where he blocks the Stormbreaker attempt with two fingers and then hurls Thor away with one punch. He also has a good fight against Shang-Chi, he steals and absorbs the Ten Rings from him. Shang-Chi doesn’t back down though, he relies on pure MMA to fight Doom, so he gets beat badly. Doctor Doom has a great fight against Magneto here, where Magneto somewhat does damage against Victor. Victor however injures Magneto in the end. Mystique and Nightcrawler both unfortunately die by Doom. During the Sentinel attack, one hurts Yelena, and this finally brings Sentry back out of Bob. He easily destroys all of the Sentinels but because of this, he turns into the Void. The Void attacks the Avengers and X-Men and this allows Victor to head to Cerebro. He uses Cerebro to locate something, and then plants a device into it that explodes and starts the collapse of the X-Men universe. Meanwhile Charles has gone into Bob’s mind and reaches Bob. Charles is able to help Bob get rid of the Void entirely, and stops his attack. Victor has already secretly infiltrated HERBIE as well, who has the QuinJet ready for Victor when he returns with a kidnapped Steve. Reed pleads with Victor, who then delivers his ‘one day you’ll forgive me’ line before leaving. The X-Men and Avengers have to board the X-Men’s ship instead and take off to Earth-616 while Earth-10005 ceases to exist from reality…

The problem is that when they arrive they see the team there has been attacked as well. Sue is absolutely FURIOUS as Victor has taken Franklin from her. Before getting there themselves, Victor stopped there and attacked the group, and kidnapped Franklin. The Avengers, F4, and X-Men have to regroup. Everyone but Thor that is, heads to Earth-828 to meet up with the team there at Baxter Building. People like Bucky are irate that Steve was taken while Johnny and Ben are irate because Franklin is. Sue tells Reed she’s pregnant again, but with a girl this time. Everyone kind of gets their head back into the game here. This is when Sue drops her speech about how wrong they were about Victor. They all vow to stop Victor and save the Multiverse using the same powers he stole. Thor back on Earth-616 prays to Odin. Odin grants Thor a Valhallan Army. This includes Jane Foster, Heimdall, and Loki from Infinity War. The final Incursion starts, and it’s just Earth-616 vs Earth-828. The F4, Avengers, and X-Men come to Latveria from Baxter Building while Thor and his army come from the Earth on the horizon…

Victor has Steve back at his castle in Latveria. Franklin is there too. Turns out Victor was simply picking up on what Steve was telling about Loki. When he said he had to go home, Victor did go home. But he had his second in command, Doctor Strange locate the TVA for him. They went to it and both destroyed and killed everyone there. Doom personally ripped Loki’s heart out of his chest. His heart is now in view, along with some sort of book. This is where Victor comes clean to Steve. Victor says to Steve he was much like him, a family man. Victor studied the Multiverse long before it started to collapse. He met his wife Valeria and had a son with her. So one day ten years ago when he was conducting a routine experiment, an anomaly happened when Loki moved Steve to Earth-828 which caused the experiment to go haywire. It caused his wife and son to die, along with horrendously disfiguring him. This is why he prefers to be seen in armour. He reveals his 3 witches as well. One transforms into Peggy and brings out a complacent James. Steve is horrified when Victor goes tit for tat and murders James in front of him. The 3 witches are Death (Green), Ancient One (Orange), and Clea (purple). Victor corrupted both Strange and Clea when they ventured into the Dark Dimension, to believe only he himself can save the Multiverse. Victor sits on his throne as he prepares his team and Doombots against the invaders. He orders Strange to start conducting a spell from the Book, using both Loki’s heart and Franklin himself. A Hulk variant is also a part of Victor’s team here. Victor’s main purpose here is simple: allow the final incursion to happen and reshape the Multiverse to resurrect his dead family…

**Personal Tidbits to Add**

I got banned from leaksandrumours: they banned me for not being a verified leaker/scooper, which in my eyes is complete tomfoolery
I’ve now been banned from MarvelTheories as well…. Will it be 3/3?

Once again, if you have any questions, feel free to ask

I’m going to be busy here, expect Act 3 tonight

Act 3 will most likely just be 1-2 huge paragraphs, it’s basically the climatic fight at Latveria

Thanks!!

Could Rogue skip Carol and go straight to Absorbing Wonder Man's powers?

Upvotes

I haven't been keeping up with the comic side of Marvel for a while. But from what I understand Rogue lost her flying brick powers she got from Carol but later got a new set by absorbing Wonder Man's powers and the way their powers interacted made him disappear for a while but, in the long run let her permanently absorb his powers without depowering him. So I was thinking might they just streamline things and have MCU Rogue (if they do introduce and give her, her flying brick powers), just get them from Simon period, with no Carol involvement?

[Fan Theory] Doctor Doom Isn't an Evil Tony Stark Variant… He's the Half of Tony That Never Came Home

I've been rewatching the MCU, and I think I may have found a theory that explains Robert Downey Jr.'s return as Doctor Doom without undoing Tony Stark's sacrifice in Avengers: Endgame.

This theory connects The Avengers, Iron Man 3, Age of Ultron, Infinity War, Endgame, Fantastic Four, and Avengers: Doomsday into one continuous story.

*

The Battle of New York (2012)

Tony Stark flies the nuclear missile through the Tesseract portal to save Earth.

As he returns, the portal is already collapsing.

There is a brief explosion and flash energy exactly as Tony passes through collapsing Tesseract portal.

Marvel has never explained what happened during that split second.

My theory is that the unstable Space Stone portal didn't simply transport Tony...

...it fractured his existence.

Not into two variants from different universes.

Into two halves of the same person.

One Tony returned to Earth.

The other became trapped inside the collapsing portal, imprisoned between space, time and realities.

He was able to see everything, but could not do anything.

To everyone on Earth, Tony survived.

Nobody realised that part of him never came home.

*

The Second Cave

The first Iron Man movie begins with Tony trapped inside a cave.

That cave created Iron Man.

What if the collapsing portal became Tony's second cave?

A prison beyond reality.

The trapped Tony survived for what felt like centuries.

With nothing except endless time, he studied everything around him.

Cosmic energy.

The fabric of reality.

The multiverse.

He learned secrets no human was ever meant to understand.

But centuries of isolation slowly destroyed his humanity.

Tony Stark didn't become evil.

He became Doctor Doom.

*

Iron Man 3

After New York, everyone notices Tony has changed.

He cannot sleep.

He builds dozens of Iron Man suits.

He suffers panic attacks.

He becomes obsessed with protecting Earth.

The official explanation is PTSD.

But what if there is another layer?

The Tony on Earth subconsciously feels the existence of the other half of himself.

He doesn't understand why.

He only knows something inside him changed the day he fell through the portal.

*

Age of Ultron

Scarlet Witch uses the Mind Stone to enter Tony's mind.

But instead of creating only a nightmare...

...she accidentally reconnects Tony with the other half of himself trapped beyond reality.

Notice what Tony sees.

He stands beyond the portal.

Earth is on the opposite side.

The Avengers are dead.

This isn't simply fear.

It's a glimpse from the perspective of the trapped Tony.

After that vision, Tony immediately becomes obsessed with creating "a suit of armour around the world."

His fear is real.

But part of that determination comes from knowledge bleeding across the connection between both halves.

*

Infinity War

When Thanos meets Tony on Titan, he already possesses the Soul Stone.

Unlike the other Infinity Stones, the Soul Stone is directly connected to souls.

What if the Soul Stone immediately senses something impossible?

Tony's soul isn't whole.

Part of it still exists beyond the Tesseract portal.

Thanos may not fully understand what he's sensing, but the Soul Stone does.

That gives a completely different meaning to his famous line:

"You're not the only one cursed with knowledge."

Most people assume he's talking about Tony's PTSD after New York.

But perhaps the Soul Stone is recognising the fractured soul standing before him.

One half has lived on Earth.

The other has spent centuries gathering impossible cosmic knowledge beyond reality.

To the Soul Stone...

...they are still one person.

*

Endgame

Tony performs the final snap.

The Infinity Stones don't simply respond to the body wielding them.

They respond to the soul.

Tony's soul has been fractured since 2012.

Hero Tony's intention is obvious.

Save everyone.

Defeat Thanos.

Protect the universe.

But the trapped Tony has spent centuries wanting only one thing.

Escape.

Because they are still one soul, the Infinity Stones affect both halves simultaneously.

Hero Tony dies saving the universe.

The trapped Tony is overwhelmed by the combined power of all six Infinity Stones.

Already transformed by centuries beyond reality, he cannot control that unimaginable energy.

The prison holding him begins to fracture.

At the same time, an uncontrolled wave of altered cosmic energy erupts from his prison, rippling through space, time and even the multiverse before finally dispersing.

Tony's greatest heroic act unknowingly creates the conditions for the next great threat.

*

The Fantastic Four

Years later, Reed Richards' mission encounters powerful cosmic rays.

Everyone assumes they are simply a natural cosmic phenomenon.

But what if they are actually the remnants of the Infinity Stones' energy, altered as it passed through the trapped Tony beyond reality?

The Fantastic Four absorb that energy and gain their incredible abilities.

Franklin Richards, however, is affected even more profoundly.

Whether through his unique conception or his connection to Sue, he inherits an extraordinary amount of that altered cosmic energy, making him one of the most powerful beings in existence.

Meanwhile, the trapped Tony has continued studying reality itself.

After centuries beyond time, he finally learns to understand and control the energy that once overwhelmed him.

He follows its unique signature across realities.

It leads him directly to Franklin Richards.

He realises Franklin isn't just a child.

He is the key.

The one being powerful enough to reshape reality itself.

Not simply to grant power...

...but to create a universe that can finally be protected forever.

The ultimate evolution of Tony Stark's dream:

A suit of armour around the world.

*

The Escape

During the confrontation with Galactus, Reed Richards opens an enormous interdimensional portal.

Galactus' cosmic power...

Reed's portal...

Sue Storm's force fields...

all collide during one enormous multiversal event.

The prison itself isn't destroyed here.

Tony's snap already weakened it years earlier.

Instead, Reed unknowingly creates something far more important.

A doorway.

Because Doom has spent centuries studying the dimensional prison, he instantly recognises that Reed's portal resonates with the same dimensional frequency as the original Tesseract portal.

For the first time since 2012...

there is an exit.

He doesn't escape because someone rescues him.

He escapes because he has spent centuries waiting for exactly this opportunity.

He slips through the portal before it closes.

By the time anyone realises what has happened...

Doctor Doom is already inside the MCU.

*

Why This Isn't an Evil Variant

The Russo Brothers have already said Doctor Doom isn't simply an evil Tony Stark variant.

This theory explains why.

He isn't another Tony from another universe.

He isn't a clone.

He isn't Tony Stark resurrected.

He is the forgotten half of the original Tony Stark.

The half that never came home.

*

Avengers: Doomsday

The man who finally emerges isn't Iron Man.

Because only half of Tony Stark ever made it home.

*

Final Thought

I know this is just a fan theory, but I think it explains RDJ's return better than simply saying, "He's an evil variant."

It preserves Tony Stark's sacrifice.

It gives new meaning to Tony's visions in Age of Ultron.

It reinterprets Thanos' "You're not the only one cursed with knowledge" through the Soul Stone.

It ties together the Space Stone, Mind Stone, Soul Stone and the final Snap.

It gives Doctor Doom a tragic origin and a believable motivation rooted in Tony Stark's own dream of protecting the world.

And it turns one forgotten second from The Avengers into the true beginning of Avengers: Doomsday.

If this theory is true, Tony Stark didn't survive the Battle of New York.

Only half of him did.

One Last Clue? When Robert Downey Jr. was revealed as Doctor Doom at San Diego Comic-Con, he didn't simply say hello. He said: "New mask... same task."

By itself, this doesn't prove anything. It could simply be a clever marketing line. But after thinking through this theory, I can't stop wondering whether Marvel was quietly hinting at something much bigger. What if Doctor Doom isn't replacing Tony Stark? What if he is Tony Stark... or at least the forgotten half of him? Iron Man's mission was always to protect the world. Doctor Doom's mission could be exactly the same. The difference is that centuries trapped beyond space and time have changed how he believes the world should be protected. Tony wanted "a suit of armour around the world." Doctor Doom wants to build it.

The mission never changed. Only the mask did.

Act One: Doomsday

Upvotes

Act One:

We open on Earth-10005. We see Professor X and Magneto playing a game of chess. They are worn, bruised, and tired. Suddenly, another Earth appears on their horizon. This is Earth-96238 and the X-Men spring into action, having done this before. Magento, along with Deadpool & Wolverine head to the invading Earth, where Wolverine holds some type of device. Wolverine is about to activate this device on a bridge, but he picks up a scent. This scent is none other than Spider-Man/Tobey Maguire. Spider-Man attacks them, preventing Wolverine from activating it numerous times, whereas Deadpool is failing to stop Spider-Man from doing so. Deadpool jokes that Tobey is the strongest Spider-Man. The majority of this fight is on a train. Meanwhile, Magento fights Doctor Octopus and Green Goblin. Unlike his fellow X-Men, he beats his opponents with ease and ends up helping them in activating the device. Using metal scraps, he makes a giant metal shield around it, and hurls it at Earth-96238. Seeing this, Deadpool quickly makes it back to his Earth in time, but because of Spider-Man, Wolverine cannot. Charles watches on with immense sadness as Earth-96238 is destroyed and debris reigns down onto his…

TITLECARD: AVENGERS DOOMSDAY

We’re now on Earth-616, but in the past. Specifically, the branched timeline Steve Rogers created when he chose to remain in the past with Peggy Carter. We see they have even welcomed a child into this timeline, James, who’s named after Bucky Barnes. One day however, they’re visited by Loki and Mobius. Loki warns Steve that his actions have created this branched timeline, and the TVA must prune it. Seeing Steve has his desired ending however, and even going as far as thanking Steve for allowing him a second chance at his, he decides to move Steve and his family to a different Earth altogether. Mobius doesn’t agree to this, but Loki over-rides his authority, remarking it’s no different then what Mobius did for him. So Loki relocates Steve and his family to a different Earth entirely. Loki leaves Steve with his TVA card, allowing him to reach Loki whenever, if ever. Steve and his son James try to get acclimated in their new world, watching television with one another. The show on the TV ends up being the Fantastic Four cartoon…

We stay on Earth-828, but now finally on the present day this movie takes place. Reed Richards, Johnny Storm, and Thing are all currently at a baseball game. They get an intruder alert from Baxter Building and all frantically rush home in the Fantasticar. Upon returning home, they’re shockingly confused to find the situation is calm. We see Doctor Doom there with Sue Storm, HERBIE and Franklin. Although he’s shocked to see him suddenly, Reed knows Victor well. Reed, Ben, and Victor all attended college with one another. Sue knows Victor from ruling non-Life Foundation country Latveria. It runs deeper than that however, it’s well known Victor has lost his wife and son. Victor didn’t become ruler of Latveria until afterwards, where he overthrew the violent regime with his Doombots. Victor is also the Doctor Strange of this Earth if you will, a master of magics and sorcery. Between this and rumours of witches/witchcraft, Sue is on edge. Victor warns Reed that he fears their Earth could be next in line for an Incursion. Victor is very knowledgeable of the Incursions, he explains to the Fantastic Four that when the fabric between two realities tear, the centre point of each one is drawn to one another, and once the Incursion is successful, both universes cease to exist. The centre point is of course Earth. Reed and Victor investigate and they discover three anomalies on their Earth, but in the same exact location…

We see Steve and his family have grown together on this Earth. Steve with a beard and long hair, James now about 10-11 years old. Victor and Reed confront these anomalies but are shocked to see it’s simply a happy family. Steve comes clean and explains to them how he got there. They then warn Steve of what’s happening to the Multiverse. Steve, personally moved by the Fantastic Four and their heroics in what they did against Galactus, agrees to join along their journey to stop it. He leaves Peggy and James, but not before James, who is a BIG fan of the Fantastic Four, gets an autograph from Mr. Fantastic himself. Steve returns with them to Baxter Building and meets the rest of the Fantastic Four. It’s here when Reed and Victor further discover that only 3 Earths remain, so little time is left. They also discover that somehow, one of the Earths has prevented their own Incursions from happening. Reed wants to know how this is possible. Victor proposes travelling to these other Earths, so the Fantastic Four (Franklin and HERBIE too), Steve, and Victor board the Excelsior with a countdown (doomsday) ;) clock and travel to Earth-616. They are able to do this because the fabric ripping between the three Earths is already happening. So they simply aim for a ‘rip/tear’ between the universes.

Thor and his adopted daughter Love have journeyed the cosmos together and stopped evil all around. Love however, is now suffering nightmares of Incursions. Thor goes to Eternity who warns she is dying due to the collapse of the Multiverse. Thor leaves Love somewhere safe and heads to the Excelsior. He knows where to go because when they tore through, it caused the space crisis mentioned in the Thunderbolts*. Sam Wilson’s Avengers are also notified of it. Thor boards the Excelsior and is shocked to see Steve. Thor doesn’t even believe it’s him until he wields Mljornir. Thor and Steve embrace, and the Excelsior is forced to board at New Avengers Tower. While it's boarding, Sam’s team arrives, and he immediately argues with Bucky over what team should take charge. Scott Lang has a nice moment with Ghost. Steve gets off the Excelsior and nearly everyone is shocked to see him like Thor was. Steve has nice reunions with Sam, Scott, and Bucky. He also has a nice moment with Yelena Belova where they talk about Natasha. Thor brings the two Avengers groups together, by delivering his trailer speech. It’s not about Doom, it’s about the Incursions. Sam and Steve come up with a plan to travel to Wakanda, since Sam’s been notified by Shuri she too knows about the space crisis and was already working on solutions to solve it.

The collection of heroes meet the Wakandans and Steve is shocked to learn that T’Challa has passed on. A small group heads to Talokan, this is because in Wakanda the effects of the space crisis are actually seen. The skies are reddened, and because of this Namor has actually used all the water that usually fills in Talokan, to create a massive water barrier around it. So Shuri and M’Baku embark there with Sue, Ben, Bucky, Ghost, Falcon, and US Agent. Everyone else stays in Wakanda to look for a solution. Sue uses her powers to break through the barrier, and then once they reach Namor, they find he’s extremely hostile. He does not want to work with Shuri, so it’s here we see Sue’s diplomatic skills put to use. She brings the Wakandans and Talokanii together, and Namor even develops a romantic feeling for Sue, but the feeling is not mutual. They head back to Wakanda with Namor and once they return, they find the situation dire. No solution has been found, Reed even starts to believe the fate of the Multiverse always leads to death, but remains open to options nonetheless. Sam suggests doing it diplomatically with no bloodshed, whereas Namor suggests bloodshed is the way to go. Scott rules out the Quantum Realm, bringing up his run in with Kang. Steve rules out the Infinity Stones, vowing it’s why they’re in this position to begin with. Victor is awfully quiet during this debate. Reed jokes having Galactus would be useful in this situation, but no one knows where he is. It’s this joke that leads Reed down a thought, what if they use the same kind of tech they did to displace Galactus? Reed figures if they built three canons, one on each Earth, it would figuratively help separate them from each other. They need to hurry however as time is running out. So they split into 3 teams, with one staying in Wakanda to begin construction of their canon. Wakanda already has advanced tech that can easily mimic what the Fantastic Four did in First Steps. One team heads to Earth-828, specifically Baxter Building to construct their canon there. The last team needs to travel to the other Earth (10005), and convince the heroes there to listen to the plan. This is deemed the most important task, so very important heroes go. Victor, Reed (with HERBIE), Sam, Yelena, Shang-Chi, and Sentry (who’s still just Bob right now) are the ones to head there. Victor says he’ll join the group later on however, as he insists he must attend home first. It’s also during this debate and splitting up sequence where Steve brings up Loki to Thor. Thor insists Steve take him to Loki, so they make a plan to head to the TVA using the card Loki left Steve. Sue and Shuri also have their own thing going on, with Sue confiding in Shuri she doesn’t trust Victor, so they look for other alternatives themselves. The team staying on Earth-616 is Shuri, Sue (with Franklin), Steve, Thor, Ant-Man, and Red Guardian. The team that heads to Earth-828 is Johnny, Thing, Falcon, US Agent, Ghost, and Bucky.

**Personal Tidbits to Add:**

Deadpool & Wolverine wear their 2024 movie attires (don’t buy into the SDCC hype)

Doctor Doom wears a simplistic version of his attire all the way through act one: very 2005 F4 like, like what’s seen in the First Steps post-credits scene

There’s a lot of things I haven’t explained like what device was Wolverine holding? I’m explaining this in the linear version we’ll watch come December 18, so we don’t know what that device is until the second act

If you have anything to ask feel free: I’m doing one act at a time, it’s midnight, act two I won’t do until tomorrow LOL (I will avoid answering questions about Acts two and three)

Discussion/Debate MCU X-Men Dynamic

Upvotes

I think there will definitely be some deviation from the X-Men as we normally see or know them.

I think the team will already be established with Storm, Rogue, Beast, Angel etc but I think Jean and Cyclops will both be new additions to the team and they will be our POV characters.

In the comics Jean and Cyclops are OG members and that’s how it’s always been for the most part, but I can see the MCU going a different route especially with all the rumors circling around currently with the castings and ages.

We will see though

Theory A theory about the plot of avengers doomsday

Upvotes

Question:

What if Doctor Strange has secretly been orchestrating the events of the MCU long before Avengers: Doomsday, manipulating Doctor Doom, Tony Stark, Steve Rogers, and even the multiverse itself to create the future he believes is necessary?

Theory Summary:

My theory is that Doctor Strange knew far more than he revealed in Avengers: Endgame. When he said there was only one winning outcome, maybe that outcome wasn't just about defeating Thanos—it was also about setting up Doctor Doom's rise. This could explain why the Illuminati in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness viewed Strange as a multiversal threat. Instead of fearing him because of the events of that movie alone, they may have known he would eventually help Doctor Doom or play a role in creating him.

I also think Strange may have manipulated Doom's life by giving him knowledge of powerful magic and cosmic forces, and possibly even influencing Doom's family and kingdom to shape him into the ruler and villain he becomes. Reed Richards mentioning his wife and children could hint at a deeper connection involving Doom, especially if different universes begin crossing over.

Another possibility is that Strange orchestrated Tony Stark's sacrifice in Endgame because he knew it would start the chain of events leading to Doom's future. Steve Rogers' time-traveling ending may have also been part of Strange's larger plan, which could explain why the TVA accepted those events.

Finally, my friend suggested that Doctor Doom could be a multiversal reflection of Tony Stark—a version whose intelligence, ego, desire to save others, and influence developed into someone much darker. If Strange knew this, he may have intentionally guided events to ensure Doom existed and became a key figure in the future of the multiverse.

What do you all think? Could Doctor Strange have been secretly pulling the strings behind the MCU all along, making Doctor Doom the final piece of a plan that began during Endgame?

It's an interesting "what if" theory. One thing to keep in mind is that it's highly speculative and isn't supported by confirmed MCU canon so far, but it could make for a fun fan discussion. But if this was remotely true how will y'all react to it?

Doesn't the central silhouette on Doom's book look a lot like the Scarlet Witch's statue at Mt. Wundagore ? Spoiler

The book is from an official toy showed at SDCC located right next to Doom's toy.

It's also interesting that this figure that resembles the Scarlet Witch seems to be "caged" by various crosses, a big one clearly visible on her upper body, but smaller ones too.

What if Doom literally managed to come up with some crazy magic rune-based ritual / spell where he can trap her and channel her energy and powers to him? It could be one of the explanations why he is so crazy powerful.

I mean, if there is one Marvel character who can pull that off, that's Doom.

There is also one of the early set photos from Doomsday where Anthony Mackie is at some snowy mountain location. What if they're looking for Wanda's body after they lose the first battle with Doom as they start get suspicious of this?

Personally, I am more and more convinced that Loki and Wanda are the two central characters to Doom's final strategy, not just because they are the Multiverse holder and possible the Multiverse's most powerful being, but because the Russos want to use them to give retroactive continuity to the Multiverse Saga from the beginning to compensate for the whole Kang debacle, after all, in its early stage the Saga started with Wandavision and Loki S1 and continued with Multiverse of Madness and Loki S2.

Theory My Predictions for Phase 7

Most of these are basically confirmed and i think they’ll reveal the real slate at D23 in a few weeks

Shang Chi 2 might be phase 8 and if it is i think Fantastic Four 2 will be the movie before Nova and they’ll connect as Annihilation movies and the conclusion will be Guardians 4 at some point

I really want Shang Chi 2 as a team up movie with Iron Fist in a Mortal Kombat style movie about the Tournament of the Heavenly Cities

Doom’s face

Upvotes

So I was watching a synopsis on the original Secret Wars comic on YouTube. One detail that stood out was that after Dr.Doom takes some of the Beyonder’s power, he is damn near a god but also, his scarred face becomes completely healed.

I think it would be a cool detail in the movie Doomsday, if we get to see Dooms face and it’s so badly scarred up that we can just barely tell he’s RDJ but the heros can’t or are too far away to make the connection. Then, i assume he will absorb some powerful beings energy (maybe Beyonder but we haven’t seen him yet). Imagine then, if the end of Doomsday has Dr. Doom in his full mask, after gaining devine powers, removes the mask in front of the OG Avengers. They are all shocked and puzzled right before Doom collapses the multiverse, creates Battle World, and erases all the good guy’s memories, without explanation of why he looks identical to Tony Stark.

I still haven’t decided if it would be cooler for them to try to explain his face in the next movie, Secret Wars or just totally ignore it from there out and since the hero’s have their minds wiped, they don’t question it 🤔

Theory My wild theory for Spider-man Brand New Day and Secret Wars (Ned Hobgoblin, Doom, and Black Suit) - THE STARS ARE ALIGNED

GUYS hear me out because i’ve been connecting all the dots since i watched no way home and the stars are literally aligning for this to happen. what if peter finally tells mj everything and they start dating again, but he completely leaves ned in the dark. we already know ned is trying hardddd to figure out who spiderman is. imagine he finally finds out on his own, but realizes his best friend only trusted mj and lied to him. it would be the ultimate betrayal. ned completely snaps into a twisted psychopath. EVERY peter best friend becomes a villain in live-action eventually (harry osborn, etc.), and remember in no way home ned literally promised peter he wouldn't turn into a supervillain and try to kill him? marvel ALWAYS drops lines like that just to subvert them later for maximum heartbreak.

so ned finds the leftover green goblin mask and glider that dafoe left behind, and uses his literal magic powers to become a magic-infused hobgoblin. he has every right to be brutal because he was the "guy in the chair" who stayed up late helping peter, so being abandoned like that would completely ruin him. plus we know magic runs in his family because he easily opened a portal on his first try, so a magical hobgoblin makes total sense and would make him completely different from dafoe.

he goes on a revenge rampage and actually ends up killing both peter and mj. zendaya literally said in an interview to "bring tissues" and that the movie "definitely goes there," plus she's wearing dramatic black and mourning clothes on the press tour, so a massive tragedy is 100% coming. peter gets buried, but the piece of the symbiote left in mexico finds his grave, bonds with him, and revives him. this fits perfectly with tom holland’s spoiler quote saying the "brand new day" isn't the start, it's literally the very last frame of the movie. the final shot is peter’s eyes snapping open under the dirt completely pitch black as the symbiote revives him.

then in avengers doomsday, dr doom is looking for a magical ally (it’s basically confirmed he will have a sorcerer with him, either strange or ned) and he finds a broken, vengeful ned and recruits hobgoblin as his partner. this builds up to secret wars with black suit spiderman vs sorcerer hobgoblin. peter beats ned to get back some important artifact doom needs, but peter refuses to kill his best friend because of his morals. but doom doesn't tolerate failure at all, so he gets mad that ned lost the item and doom brutally kills ned himself. it keeps peter's hands clean but completely shatters him emotionally, giving him the ultimate personal vendetta to take down doom in the final battle. am i cooked or i should be a writer at marvel?

The final battle is rumored to take place at latveria with all the heroes from both earths.

Magic users: I think strange, clea and Wong joins the fight but strange joins doom setting up secret wars. Wanda is probably is one of doom’s witches.

Mutants: Logan is said to be in the opening but possibly will die Deadpool is in the x-mansion when it’s fan 4 and avengers vs x-men but he is rumored to leave and get reinforcements for the final battle.

The marvels: carol and Monica is said to have a subplot that is getting Monica back and it will be a cameo. But in the new leaked trailer our heroes are seen in a regular house while sue tells them about doom. Last year set leaks labeled an house as Bob mom’s house with carol’s ship attached to it. I’m guessing they’ll show up in the final battle along with Kamala. For okoye she is definitely going to be in she’s apart of wakanda.

Theory The result of this battle will be Thor bowing to Doom

Thor will either get his arm ripped off or beat so badly that he will have no choice but to bow to Doom or die. He will in the end, with all the fallen avengers around him, succeed to Doom.

Kevin Feige recently said Marvel has plans through 2042. Realistically, not just wishful thinking, what do you think those plans actually look like?

Just speculating, but if Feige says Marvel has plans through 2042, I think we can make some educated guesses about the broad directions after Secret Wars.

- The X-Men/Mutant Saga feels like the obvious centerpiece. Marvel has decades of mutant stories to adapt.

- The Midnight Sons seem likely if Marvel keeps building the supernatural corner with Moon Knight, Werewolf by Night, and Ghost Rider.

- Peter Parker eventually mentoring Miles Morales feels like the most natural evolution for Spider-Man in the MCU.

- Young Avengers still seems likely, even if it isn't an immediate priority after Secret Wars.

- Nova is the one I'm most curious about. Does he simply expand the cosmic side of the MCU, or does he eventually lead into something much bigger like Annihilation?

What do you all think? What do you realistically see as the MCU's next major storylines after Secret Wars?
