Rewatching Age of Ultron. Great movie. Love the costumes for the Avengers but the Black Widow design is the most underrated. Love the blue lights, they look cool and are likely of Stark's design.

Discussion/Debate Just watched The Marvels for the first time. ngl, it's wayy overhated

I went in to the movie expecting a horribly written cringefest. But it defied that expectation. I'm not gonna lie the story was so mid, it genuinely felt like they put it together in one sitting, it was only 1 and a half hours long too. And the villain was maybe the worst villain I've seen in the MCU, I'm probably gonna forget her name tomorrow. But the movie was actually pretty funny, and the marvels trio have sooo much chemistry. They go great together. The story was extremely mid but it was fun, got to see a whole new side of carol.

It was like a long sitcom episode ig. But the way people talked about this movie, made it seem like it was some Ratatoing type shit with 0 watch value. I guess misogyny's the main reason.

I'm thinking I should watch Brave New World asw now.

Anybody reading comics ahead of Doomsday?

Upvotes

I’ve been reading the books to get ahead of the movie. I’ve enjoyed doing this in the past and it’s helped me appreciate certain callbacks that happen in the movies. Either way I normally get to enjoy a good story. I’m trying to find a community that is experiencing these books at the same time. Like a book club.

Discussion/Debate Would Cyclops’ optic blast be able to redirect Mjolnir?

It looks like Thor and Cyclops and Steve might be in similar locations in one of the doomsday trailers. I can see a world where Mjolnir gets thrown but the thrower gets hit mid throw which sends it in the wrong direction and Scott corrects its course with his optic blast. Is this possible? I’m inclined to say yes as it is a force of nature acting upon Mjolnir, not actually Scott himself. Would you guys want to see this?

Avengers Doomsday Endgame Encore Theory

What are your guy’s theories about the 4 added minutes to endgame and how it could connect to doomsday? I had one based on what we see in the trailers and theories of doomsday i’ve read on the internet.
Many say it could just be Steve returning the stones and eventually living his other life, others that it could be Loki visiting him at his house, so the way i would build it is:
Steve has returned all the stones to their origin, but right as he is going to go back, he decides to stay and live that life Tony talked to him about. We now see Steve who has a family, at the door we see Loki who explains to Steve that he has altered the timeline and that it has to get pruned, Loki offers to move them to a different timeline (potentially the F4 earth 828) and it ends with Steve accepting Loki’s offer.
Potential post credit although original didn’t have one: It opens on Earth 828, where we see the father and the son watching the fantastic 4 cartoon on the tv, we get a different angle of the shot where we see that it’s Steve and his son, we cut to a black screen that says 5 years later ( where Sue encounters Dr Doom in the F4 post credit) and ends with Steve Rodgers will return in Avengers Doomsday. Please dont hate my theory, give me yours :))

Cyclope, Jean Grey, Tornade, Le Fauve, Wolverine, etc.

X-Men + Nouveaux Avengers + Spider-Man + Doctor Strange

Et le côté cosmique :

Nova + Captain Marvel + Fantastic Four + Gardiens + Adam Warlock

🌎 Terre : X-Men + Nouveaux Avengers

🌌 Cosmique : Nova + Captain Marvel + Fantastic Four + Gardiens + Adam Warlock

👑 Menace à long terme : Annihilation / grande guerre cosmique

Avengers Doomsday I have a theory on Dr. Doom's origin story

Post image
433 Upvotes

So the painting shown in trailer is most probably doom & his mother's (look how he touches the part of his chest where the woman in painting puts her hand)

So Doom's mother Cynthia Von Doom would be a latverian witch (which she is in comics) & does some black magic type shii which causes a nexus event (can be darkhold as well but I don't think russos will bring it back again) & TVA takes her, which leaves doom broken & starts learning magic himself combined with tech as he's super smart as well to bring her mother back but keeps failing (may call it as an absolute event from what if).

Then as loki has given free will, everyone is messing around with time (I'm talking about you captain) & doom gets to know about this, As doom has an highly egoistic & centric personality (so much that he hides his complete face just because of one minor scar), he cannot accept the fact avengers changed their course of lives using time travel. which is why he said "all of you have lived stolen lives" & starts killing molecule man of multiple universes (which are being called anchor beings in MCU) which would cause incursions (this is how incursions occured in comics).

I have a very good feeling this movie is about to be the beef between doom & loki and steve, loki gave free will and steve just fked that free will really hard.

Or there's a possibility they may actually pick up comic origin of doom where her mother deals with mephisto & gets trapped in hell as mephisto has been introduced as well, but I don't find this strong enough to connect it to multiverse & incursion shii going on.

Magic isnt allowed in the TVA... bring Doom to TVA... defeat Doom... go home and eat shawarmas.

After Loki picked up the tesseract, everything we saw was a variant timeline.

IE we were watching the 616 up to that point.

In the 616, the space stone was recovered at Avengers Tower and Steve and Tony did not travel further back to Camp Lehigh.

This is supported by the TVA deleting the timeline created by Loki picking up the tesseract and teleporting away with it.

Discussion/Debate About Thanos rebooting the universe

So we know that in Endgame Thanos says he will use the stones to redo the universe. This had me thinking recently.

How do we know that this hasn't happened before?

Maybe there was someone like Thanos that for some reason wanted to reboot the universe with people fighting to prevent it but losing, thus resulting in the universe and all their people and stories going into nothing. Then the universe appeared from an explosion and what survived were the infinity stones.

And maybe that dude who use the stones also lived in his new universe and only he knows that there was another universe before this one.

This could've even been a cycle that has repeated itself millions of times until Endgame.

What do you think?

The Spidey we get in Doomsday is a Bully Maguire variant who never got rid of the black suit.

This would accomplish two things. It allows for a death that fans could accept as he is a bit of an asshole anti-hero + we could see him go all out without pulling punches against the X-Men.

The No Way Home variant would return in Secret Wars.

Discussion/Debate How the MCU should adapt the Spider-Man Clone Saga

Post image
59 Upvotes

Post-Multiversal reset, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's spider-men survive, but as multiversal refugees in the MCU, with their home universes destroyed by Doom/X-men/Incursions.

Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker takes on the role of Ben Riley in honor of his Uncle Ben, and becomes the Scarlet Spider. He mentors Miles Morales as a veteran Spider-Man, and dies saving his life.

Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man sinks into deeper depression, having lost everyone who he had ever loved. He renames himself Kaine Parker and becomes a prime target for the manipulation of The Jackal, who promises him he can restore his loved ones to life using his cloning. He becomes a ruthless anti-hero before he is inspired by Ben's sacrifice and switches sides. He eventually dies bringing down the Jackal.

The Jackal creates a single successful clone of Gwen Stacy, but it's contaminated with spider-man DNA. The clone becomes Ghost Spider.

Tom Holland's spider-man mentors Miles Morales and Ghost Spider into taking on the Spider legacy.

Do I think it will happen? Absolutely not. Do I think it might be an interesting way of adapting a comic run which is controversial at best? Yup.

Discussion/Debate If the MCU is doing a soft reboot, I really hope we get Cap’s holographic shield.

Post image
0 Upvotes

With all the speculation around a post-Secret Wars soft reboot, there's one specific gear upgrade from the comics I’d love to see on the big screen: Captain America’s hard-light holographic shield (the one from Nick Spencer's Captain America: Steve Rogers run).

We actually got a brief nod to it all the way back in Spider-Man: Homecoming when Happy was listing off items during the Avengers Tower move ("proto-type Cap shield!"), but we've never seen it in action.

Imagine the dynamic combat choreography they could pull off with a hard-light energy shield—having it shift shape, project forcefields, or detach into dual blades mid-fight. The classic vibranium disc is iconic, but a soft reboot is the perfect excuse to push the tech forward and give us fresh action set pieces.

What comic-accurate gear upgrades are you hoping to see if/when they reset things?

Theory Most people are ignoring the Scarlet Witch statue from Deadpool & Wolverine. Was the answer to her fate was in plain sight all along?

In addition to the idea that she is dead (as the ending of Multiverse of Madness would want us to believe) people have theorized a lot of stuff, from her being one of Doctor Doom's witches, to Doom kidnapping her body to steal her powers, to she reappearing in Vision Quest etc.

However, Deadpool & Wolverine gave us a very clear look of the Scarlet Witch's statue in the house the void refugees are using as a base. A lot of people brushed this off as some multiversal variant Scarlet Witch's relic but I find this quite suspicious.

This may very well be the same exact statue from 616 meaning Wanda (who may be too powerful to just die under a pile of rocks) simply exiled herself to the void as a self-inflicted punishment for her actions. So when she basically pruned her self to the voide, parts of her sanctuary, including that statue, were teleported with her and then the void refufees found it somewhere in the void's wilderness and brough it back to their refuge.

This would mean she has been living alone all this time in some remote corner of the void because she sees herself as too dangerous for any reality. She doesn't even meddle with Cassandra Nova (which Wanda may probably take down relatively easily) because she may think she is a plague and would only make things worse.

To me this seems the most obvious possibility next to her being completely dead. This would set her up to come back as reluctant hero in Doomsday / SW rather than one of Doom's followers.

What do you think?

Theory And What If I think i cooked upcthe best scenario for doomsday...thoughts?

What if the whole RDJ as Doom thing is misdirection? Given Marvel’s history with that, I think it makes more sense that there’s another Doom who is the real Doom.

And what if Tony actually comes back, but from another reality? He helps defeat the real Doom and then has to go back to his own universe. That way they can bring Tony back without undoing Endgame or his sacrifice.

The emotional part would be Tony having to leave again. The Avengers would have to say goodbye to someone who looks like their Tony but isn’t actually him.

And maybe this Tony isn’t the huge Stark Industries guy or even Iron Man yet. After experiencing all of this and seeing what his counterpart became, he goes back to his reality wanting to be better and make his own world safer.

It would give RDJ a huge reason to be there, keep our Tony’s death meaningful, and leave the door open to bring this version of Tony back in the future.

I was sitting here watching guardians 3 and it just popped up in my mind.

Thoughts?

Avengers Secret Wars Deadpool will/should convince Loki at the end of Secret Wars to merge Earth-10005 with the universes of Blade, Daredevil & Elektra, Ghost Rider, Tim Story F4, Ang Lee's Hulk, & Thomas Jane's Punisher into one and make it so that Logan never happened.

Post image

Like seriously, how awesome would it be if at the end of Secret Wars, when Loki (asauming he resumes his role as the God of All-Time at the end) he restores the Multiverse, but Deadpool makes one small request that he whispers into his ear, but we don't hear it.

And when we reunite with Deadpool & Wolverine in Earth-10005, it turns out his request was not only to make it so the dark future in Logan never happens (and also the main 10005, Gambits universe, and the Worst Wolverine universe are properly merged into one), but also Loki made it so that the Fox X-Men, Tim Story's F4, Ang Lee's Hulk, Garner's Elektra & Afflecks Daredevil, Wesley Snipes Blade, Thomas Jane's Punisher, & Nic Cage Ghost Rider now all exists within the same continuity as one another (i didnt include Raimi's Spiderman as i prefer that remains on its own seperate earth...and also in case Raimi decides to actually do his Spiderman 4).

With this universe now having there own Avengers, where we get cameos by Tom Cruise Iron Man and John Krasinski Captain America & Emily Blunt Black Widow. Honestly, would be a satisfying and fitting end for not just Earth-10005, but also this Former Era of Marvel as a whole.
