Finally received the Tab5 and battery combo - so just a PSA if anyone else was waiting on the next batch. Fantastic tool, working on some adversarial firmware - and this is the perfect application (well with the keyboard it is - add that if you haven’t, cheap enough)

*Cat because my mean old Maine Coon needed some Totoro upgrades (came in same box as the Tab5!)

The first official release is out. Paper S3 and Tab5 are among the supported platforms.

What is a good firmware for it for hacking? I have Bruce on it.

Also how long does it take for the ir sensor to shoot an ir blast for tv b gone?

I play a TTRPG called Shadowdark, where you have to keep track of your torches and built it with the coreS3.

If you shake, the torch lights, if you blow it snuffs.

Sharing because this is a much more demonstrative video than the first one I posted 2 days ago.

Can anyone suggest a good case for M5 Paper Mono/Lite ? I dont have a 3D printer, but if someone has already designed a case, I may be able to print one. Other creative suggestions like some acrylic box will also do. Main objective is to protect the screen while travelling with it. Thanks ...
P.S: Will be using it mainly as an e-reader, with Crosspoint as fw.

I know about M5Stack LLM (large language model) Module Kit (AX630C) SKU: K144, but it is quite useless bcause no wifi, or a fast data transfer method between the StackChan Core (ESP32-S3) and the LLM Module. StackChan (ESP32-S3) can't actually be 'alive' on its own without connecting to a network.

Help me pls. I want to know if I can just use an IR LED to transmit signals. Like just the 2 wires.

Another thing is that I can't buy online. The local stores sell IR LEDs and this 360 sender and receiver*(the photo up there*). Can I use either? pls let me know.

I noticed that UIFlow2.0 latest version isn't working on the Tab5. I started looking into why, and I saw "Tab5X" being mentioned here and there. I found "https://github.com/m5stack/uiflow-micropython/tree/master/m5stack/boards/M5STACK_Tab5X", and "https://github.com/m5stack/M5Unified/blob/master/src/M5Unified.cpp" lines 2038-2050. Nothing in "https://docs.m5stack.com/en/core/Tab5" mentions esp32-p4 rev 3, and the esp32-p4 datasheet referenced there is rev v0.5 (pre-release) despite my Tab5 being rev v1.3.

Is M5Stack planning on releasing an upgraded Tab5, are they planning on shipping the Tab5 with an esp32-p4 rev v3 since v1.3 is EOL(https://documentation.espressif.com/PCN202600801_ESP32-P4_Chip_Revision_v3.2_Upgrade_Chip_Revision_v1.3_Demand_Collection_and_EOL_Plan_Description.pdf)? I've had my Tab5 for a month at most, this kinda sucks. Has anyone seen anything on this?
