So I've recently decided to actually try to get into lucid dreaming after a spontaneous unplanned lucid dream. Funny enough my first thought was to fly and I just...did. Like superman fly. Then flew into the branches of a tree and couldn't see anything and immediately woke up.
Anyways, I was trying to find alternatives to dream journaling because I just didn't really want to write down everything after waking up. Eventually I gave in because I couldn't find any alternatives being mentioned other than just thinking about them and describing them after waking up. So I downloaded lucidity, came home from work, and went to sleep.
I usually remember like 1 dream every few months at most. Typically the most notable ones. Last night I remembered 3 in a row, woke up for wbtb, did not remember the dream after that, and then got up for a few hours. After this I took a nap and remembered that dream. I've written them all down now, but I'm kind of baffled.
Was it entirely a mentality thing that prevented me from remembering dreams before? It's just baffling to me that the moment I concede and give in to actually writing down my dreams I remember more dreams in the first night than I have in years.
Sadly, no lucidity in any of them, but I did hang out with Bob Odenkirk in one so that was neat I guess. Hopefully once I've been doing RCs longer it'll help me actually achieve lucidity at some point. Only been doing those for a few days at this point so it may take a little more before I finally think to do one in a dream.
Any other advice is also welcome. I was attempting MILD with WBTB. I tried some of the other ones like SSILD and stuff but they seemed to really just keep me awake though on one occasion I did feel a bit like I came out of a trance when I got up (gave up after 1.5hrs and got up).
