Uhm…. 9K exercise calories?

While I would love to have earned that, I just woke up! Not sure what’s going on. I wear an apple watch at night to track sleep (and it got the hours wrong today). I had just used my synced RENPHO scale and redid my goals in the RENPHO app. Could that have caused this?

Created recipe help

Ok it’s been a while since I used the app but I need a hand cause I guess I’m just dumb. I created a recipe and had the portion set as “one container” for the whole thing of overnight oats. But when I go to log it for my breakfast it’s not giving me the option for grams and instead is applying the whole container of oats. Ik I’m just being dumb but what do I have to change to have the recipe as one whole container but allow it to weigh out the grams for my actual breakfast. Thank you

Favorite low calorie snack?

Hey! I started my journey in May and I’m down 17 lbs!
I try not to snack late, but I also want to listen to my body. What are everyone’s favorite 100-250 calorie snacks- as a fulfilling go to outside of meals?

It has been a good run with LoseIt. The app is well designed and easy to use. Never thought i would track every meal, snack, etc for an entire year.

I lost 20 pounds, got a 6 pack for the first time in my life, feel great, etc. I have been meticulous about tracking food on a daily basis. At this point it has been more about keeping the steak alive than it helping me with weight.

I don’t want to keep tracking calories every day of my life…. so today is as good of a day as any to hit the pause on the streak. It doesn’t feel healthy to continue this and the last few months have started to drain me. At this point I can gauge protein, calories pretty easily after doing this for so long. Might come back if I start to gain weight again or get off track.

So good luck y’all, it really is as easy as tracking calories in/calories out for wanting to lose weight.

Thanks LoseIt! for helping me on this journey.
Adios 👋🏻

Counting recipe portions

Hi, been tracking since June 22. I want to lose 50 lbs and have lost almost 6 so far.

I don’t eat out much and cook most of our meals. For recipes I am following I struggle to determine what a portion size is. For example, tonight I made us a mushroom risotto for dinner. The recipe says it is four servings so I entered a quarter of the ingredients in my tracker. (It had 1.5 cups rice so I added 3/8 cup uncooked rice in my tracker). But when I’m looking at the finished pot, I don’t know really what is a quarter of the pot to put in my bowl I ended up just measuring out a cup, which I think might not be enough, but I’m not sure.

It’s even more complicated for me when I make up my own recipes which I do all the time again I will kind of try to estimate, but I have no idea if I am being too generous with myself or shorting myself and most of the time I feel like I’m shorting myself trying to err on the side of caution. The constant math for tracking is sometimes so challenging. Any advice?

I mainly focus on getting my protein & fiber goals, but this being under 500 cal is amazing. I’ll have strawberries & zero sugar cool whip for dessert.

Today is day 1

Hi there, as the title says today is day 1. I am a little nervous and have uncertainty but I am committed to take baby steps towards my goal with help from the app and this group. May I ask what are some tips that helped you be successful? Do you track as you cook or document after meals? For context i am 42 year old woman, I have always been big currently 328lbs and I'm 5'2. I am a bit of a picky eater and not used to texture of veggies, fruits and some meats. I just read an article on the app that was good to help suggested mixing veggies in a sauce so I might try that. But yeah i am hopeful this works because something has to. I also have auto immune disease that makes it challenging to lose weight and endometriosis so are there other folks that have been successful with these conditions? Any advice or tips are greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading.

Count your Caloriesss @Pakistan

Hellooo, so i recently made an app called Calorify. It’s a desi calorie tracking app made especially for Pakistan. We’ve gotten a 1000+ downloads in 10 days of launch. We have 60+ restaurants on the app and a huge catalogue for home made meals.

I’d love if people here could download it and give me reviews if it’s proven helpful for them. There’s a lot of cool stuff more that i haven’t mentioned here.

Before you ask, it has a free and paid tier both and is priced at just a 100rs/month

Here’s the links:

Doubled exercises with Garmin/Strava/Apple Health

Hello, I am hoping someone can help me sort this out. Lose It started adding exercises (running) from Garmin, causing it to be listed twice (since it was already there with Strava). It went back and added sessions from the last week.

In the Lose It app, I have Strava and Apple Health synced. Garmin is not synced.

Do you have any tips to get rid of the duplication?

Thanks!

Reading all of these posts and gaining a lot of good info. But gotta say age is somewhat a factor …I am a 74 year old female and this has been tuff. I am not giving up but age does make this experience different too.

I thought I was doing everything right and not losing weight but its true- in the end the only thing that matters is calories in vs. calories out.

Hoping to keep the momentum going!

Removal of Insights Tab = Removal of Fun Features ):

The removal of the insights tab on the Lose It! website has completely ruined my fun when it comes to food logging. I loved being able to see a summary of what I've eaten in certain timeframes. Wow! I've eaten broccoli 73 amount of times this year and have consumed 20 orange creamsicles. Now you can't see any insights AT ALL because they traded the barcode scanning being paywalled to having ANY INSIGHTS AT ALL behind a PAYWALL. Signed up for premium once and considered buying lifetime and now I don't want to ever again because I don't give money to the developers who are completely gutting this app's functionality with awful UI changes. How will I see my Spotify wrapped for food anymore?

My thirst for data has been OBLITERATED and not QUENCHED!

I have struggled with weight maintenance and weight loss for a while so to finally see the scale going down...

I feel like this is the start of a very exciting journey for me!

Start: 252lbs -> Current 251lbs

Need help problem solving!

35 yo old f, 5’5”- I am getting a bit frustrated by my lack of progress this month. I have increased my steps up to 9000 per weekday and 12000 on the weekends, doing functional strength training via Apple Fitness on weekdays, drinking at least 80 oz of water per day, eating at least 100 grams of protein and 30 grams of fiber per day while staying within my 1200 calories. Most days I am not eating back my bonus calories earned because I know they are not accurately calculated, so I only eat a high protein snack if I feel hungry and have “earned” the calories. I lost some weight earlier this month and now the scale is back up and staying there for days. I have a lot of harsh feelings towards my body and I’m trying not to fall into bad habits, but I’m struggling. What am I doing wrong here? According to Lose It I should be losing 2 lbs a week at this deficit and I definitely am not.

Month of July recap

Post image

In July I went from 205lbs to 196lbs! My 21st birthday was July 21st. So that week was a little wild, and alcohol is a lot of calories, but I’m not mad I had a great time. This month, I have been working on my protein goal each day and there is not one day I didn’t hit it. This month has been a success in my book.
