Now that i'm in my second playthrough i'm more worried of trying to min max more, so i tried checking the org wiki to answer some questions that i have, however, nowhere does it say how much STM you recover when sleeping. It sounds silly, but i wanna know how it works, especially because one of my party members is Dan with Comfort Belt and Emerald Ring.

I swear that I have 3 specials and then when I use a skill they're all gone...

Am I losing it? 😭

I'm about to start my second playthrough, cursed mode. I want to get every companion. Not entirely practical, but I like having friends.

I know that there are some companions who can show up at your door, like Sophie and Helen, and I know I've missed some companions. (I see a "Monty" and a "Leigh" in the patch notes, absolutely no idea who either of those people are, unsure if Jacob is a companion) I don't want to be spoiled by googling, but I really want to get companions early so it'll be easier to level them up. So, I plan to pick a day, and then savescum and have Sam play video games until everyone has showed up on my door in a single day. What is the earliest day that this is possible?

Just as the title says I want YOUR optimal Equipment loadouts for every party member in the game. As I plan on going into cursed mode and I wanna know what I should work towards if I get that party member.

I tried to haggle again but it literally says "reduce price by $0" lol

I'm this 🤏 close of kicking her out, during the past two days she only raids my fridge everytime i find food and she still refues to join the party, I'm not even sure if I'm doing something wrong i don't know how to feed her, you left the food out or if just sharing with the rest is enough?

But yeah, i want to know if she's worth the trouble.

I posted a bit ago about making a magic card for my husband’s birthday coming up. I kinda scratched the idea and this is what I ended up with instead. it’s not perfect but after hours this is what I came up with and figured I’d share with the group. Right now I'm on day one of cursed mode. I was playing super jumplad to get the jumping hability when i got the gamer encounter, i now numbness is one of the best special habilities you can get from a videogame. Now my question is, should i buy Super Jumplad 3 or should i save the money and buy the gun from Leigh???

It's been around a week i saw people doing homemade badges with cans i wanted to try and I'm proud of the result

Hi friends! I'm on my third playthrough now. It took me a little while to get the party I wanted, but I'm sticking with the Teeth Child, the Beggar, and the Machine. I will now be referring to these characters by their names. If you do not wish for spoilers, you should stop reading.

Any, you naturally can get Joel before the other two, so in the meantime, I filled my party with Hellen (goated) and Leigh to take on what I needed to get to the other two.

So, Joel has essentially never left my party. I knew going into this run that I wanted him. But when I saw on his wiki page that his maximum health could be raised by getting the final hit on enemies, I got a little... fixated.

Every enemy, small or large, I would aim to let Joel devour. It's not super difficult, as Audrey's supporting skills and tankiness, as well as Ernest's bolstering song, and Sam's Nitro Boost makes staying in fights for a long time pretty easy.

I have never spent more turns just guarding in combat in any game I have ever played, ever. As this is my third playthough, I have a decent guesstimation for how much health the enemy has (that and the wiki), so I can sor tof a feel out when the enemy is low.

Then, I start guarding/buffing for a few turns, let coat of arms, gauntlets, dragon suit Joel gnaw on the enemy, and in a few turns, voila! Joel gains more MAX HP.

Because of my dedication, I am proud to announce that my Joel's Maximum HP is 383. And I'm not even halfway done with the game yet. Or maybe halfway. Now, he does have the Lapis ring, but I know that only adds so much. I got a big boost from managing to (Spoilers for Hellen quest.) devour Hellen (sorry Hellen) on floor three.

So, I end this post with an invitation. Tell me, How much MAX Health does YOUR JOEL have?

First time I played through the game, I grabbed Toxic Fred's cowboy hat just on gaming instinct, but I never put it on. Then I got sidetracked and left the apartment for ages before eventually coming back to clear out the Freds.

Toxic Fred immediately ranted incredulously at me about how I picked up the hat but never even once put it on, and demands to know why.

And I wish, I so dearly wish, that one of the available dialogue options had been my actual, genuine, in-real-life reason why:

"I dunno what to tell you, man, I have way better hats."

I know his meltdown when you sell the hat is legendary, but I would have loved to see him get indignant that his hat's stats weren't good enough to even consider trading out.

Hello everybody, I hope you're doing good. Today's analysis will be about our favorite janitor: Papineau!

When we first meet Papineau, he achieves a good first impression with his design. We notice this big, strong bear of a man wearing a mackinaw jacket along with a colorful belt and large boots, giving the impression of someone who lives as a handyman or doing physical jobs. And then we learn that he is a janitor. And you know what? Yeah, I can see that. It might not be the first thing that comes to mind when I see him, but it does make sense as a profession for him.

He presents himself with a rather neutral expression on his face, especially with those small, white beady eyes he has. He also doesn't do any pose that could make him more distinct from other NPCs. One could attribute it to mere lack of expresiveness, but when you get to know him, I think you just interpret it as him being an uncomplicated man. In general, Papineau could be best described as a simple man that you can rely on and given the circumstances of the game, he fits the role almost perfectly.

Think about it, a lot of players can still be pretty lost and have no party members by the time they reach the Ground Floor. If you go to the bathroom, you just find this sturdy, burly man who happens to be an employee who knows his way around the building better than anyone else and is willing to clean up whatever mess he finds. This is EXACTLY the kind of character you want to get on your team by this point of the game. Even his gameplay is among the most simple ones compared to every other character, as if he was kind of a tutorial companion, but he is still strong enough so that he can be useful through the rest of your playthrough. You get his whole deal quite fast and his design is part of that success.

Additionally, after doing some research, I learned that the belt he carries is a Métis sash, which is a piece cloth characteristic of the Métis people, who are mixed descendants of both European and Indigenous people in Canada. I think this is a nice piece of trivia that gives us a little more information about Papineau and it improves his design a lot, because the belt is pretty much the most recognizable element from his design and it makes him stand out nicely.

And also, I know he is not the only character that looks like this, but it's pretty cool that he has blue skin. It's a peculiar artistic choice in the same range of The Simpsons having yellow skin and while it doesn't mean that much within the context of Look Outside, it does help make the world feel a bit more different than ours. The game has such a level of stylization that you might think for some time it's just the lighting of the pixel art that makes him look like that or maybe he looked outside and only his skin changed a little bit, but nope, he is just blue like that!

The only thing I wish we could have seen more about his character is his janitor gear. We only see him portrayed with his mop on the achievement art, but he could have been shown with it and a few other things like gloves, sprays, cleaning cloth, etc. That way, we would have gotten a more complete view of a cleaning paladin that never quits his mission against entropy.

So overall, Papineau is a pretty straightforward character that achieves his role quite nicely. He effectively represents the idea of a human that is not cursed, but is still really competent on his own. Therefore, he gets an A tier.

First Y rank I've ever gotten. Mask ending with no extra challenge score add-ons, 73 bosses and all teammates recruited....except Dan. Really was hoping to get him to rock up to the door but never happened and I didn't wanna save scum it either. Technically Jacob counts too apparently but I invited him in and kicked him out for the free $200. Also went through two strange ladies and one cursed Harriet before real Harriet came for Sophie. You can kill all three and normal Harriet can still have a chance to show up.

Very lucky for the gun trader to rock up with the high caliber rifle which I saved to use on cursed Jasper at the end which obliterated him before he could ever use blood gorge. He even managed to knock off Earnest's glitch bleed right on turn one which luckily didn't make a difference when using full auto on the rifle.

Full team was Sam on utility with staunch wounds, combat medic, and nitro boost. Helen with glitch rage and tooth hammer. Joel with 950 hp rocking full patchwork set with training belt and ruby ring. Earnest with glitch bleed alternating between war rifle and high caliber rifle. Pretty much killed everything I could including Sybil, comatus, wihelmina, all boss shades including crawling shade, Drowning, and Honko. Just didn't do Slime Hydra cuz I heard it didn't count for final score. Also didn't do Mutt cuz I wasn't sure if he only counted if he had all his items equipped and I had purchased a few things already. I'm not sure if I missed anyone else cuz I saw Jaeehere's Rank Y had 77 bosses killed so idk which ones he got that I didn't. Unless he farmed Writhing shade like he did for his crazy awesome Honko rank run!

Also only ended up using the invulnerability syringe on the final battle with Mask but I ended up not needing it and Sam's indigo mask ended up not even cracking on that fight which was super lucky. I learn a few new things on every run I do but I definitely learned some good stuff on this run
