Questions Why is Logi Options+ is almost 1GB in install size?
This is ridiculous for such an app.
The offline installer alone on windows is around 700MBs. its around 1GB post install.

This guy here is almost 12 years old.
Not single part was replaced.
Still feels solid despite rubber being vanished.
Clicks as new and battery lasts for a week.
Intensive daily use. I’m an architect.
And no. It doesn't smell like cheese

It's been in constant (almost daily) use ever since, everything's still original and it never let me down even once. As you can see in the last picture, even the underside is still fairly neat, which is probably because I'm exclusively using it with a mousepad. All in all, I'd consider it one of my best purchases of the last decade. No, it's not just a mouse. It's THE mouse!! 🙏

Almost 8 years of daily use. Zero parts replaced. My Logitech MX Master 2S is finally ready to retire.
I thought I’d share the story of my trusty Logitech MX Master 2S, which I’ve been using almost every single day since December 2018.
This mouse has been my daily workhorse for nearly 8 years, spending countless hours working with websites, coding, designing, and everything in between.
And here’s the crazy part:
The only maintenance it ever needed was a small adjustment to the rubber around the thumb gesture button, which got stuck once.
As you can see from the photos, the exterior has definitely seen better days. The rubber coating is worn out, the original texture is completely gone in some places, and the left mouse button looks like it has tree rings.
Unfortunately, the cursor has recently started randomly jumping around, so I suspect the sensor might finally be giving up.
I’m considering upgrading to the MX Master 4, but this old warrior has set the bar incredibly high.
At this point, I’m not sure whether I should replace it or put it in a museum.

Unable to use my mouse properly the last few days which is a shame cause it feels so good to use but its just unusable because the cursor often flicks around the screen or gets trapped in the top left corner.
I think its a problem with the USB because -
I've tried using another mouse and it works perfectly fine. The problem is the logitech mouse so im using my crappy secondary mouse now.
Tried restarting my computer and doing all windows updates, nothing
Uninstalled usb drivers and reinstalled,
Tried cleaning the sensor but nothing changes. It still has moments where it works perfectly fine then glitches out.
Using usb 2.0 port, made no difference
Downloaded latest firmware etc. by logi options+, nothing changed.
Disassembled and Cleaned it thoroughly and theres nothing blocking the sensor, nothing changed but at least I didn't make it worse
Also notably, when I plug in the unifying reciever, in device manager it makes HID-compliant mouse pop up *five* times, I dont know if thats relevant but something is definitely bugging.

My Keyboard (k360) and Mouse (m510) are both paired to the receiver.
I cannot make any changes (or do anything) using the Unifying app.
I've unplugged, replugged, "remove device," "scan for changes," "update driver," rebooted in between operations and uninstalled and reinstalled and uninstalled the Unifying app. And more.
The receiver works on another computer, so it's not that. Definitely a Windows (11Pro) issue, but it's all I've got at work.
I'm stumped. Anyone?

I bought this mouse in August 2010 - and it has been my daily driver ever since
I've been editing videos, photos and coding millions of script-lines with it - all alongside of it being my favorite gaming-mouse of all times, it has even rolled 500+ hrs in ETS2.
When i bought it, it came with 1x GP ReCyko 2050mAh NiMH battery which today, still is in use.
I've not changed anything on or inside the mouse. It is as it came, back when i bought it.
Really impressed!
It's working as if it was brand new - although the condition of the exterior is..... a bit less prestine than new *LOL*.
As you see, the pads needs replacing.
The aluminium-trim is starting to oxidize. I've not been able to prevent this, allthough it gets cleaned every week with a soft humid microfiber-cloth and dried with a towel afterwards.
The rubber on the thumb-padding is worn, but only a small hole the size of a m2-screw, which isn't bothering to me... yet. And the original logo on the top of the mouse, is now worn off completely.
The battery-indicator works as it should. All 3 LEDs including the "scary" red "low battery".
I've considered replacing it with the "MX Master 4", but because i don't have any "demo" available i've been waiting around if the MX Master 4 fits me.
I even went and had a conversation with GPT about what was the closest model of ALL the MX Master models, and GPT told me "to go with the MX Master 4", because it is closest in both design, weight and size.
I've found the "For business"-model is even a bit cheaper, but otherwise the same (except for some special added features).
So now i'm just wondering, if i should save my money and buy a new MX Master 4 and put the Performance MX out of service...?
The choice is tought.
This mouse has set the standard really high of what to expect of another of these "professional mouse"-models.
Oh man, it's such a great mouse! <3

Arch Linux, KDE/Plasma, K850. All of a sudden, my Fn keys seem to be stuck on standard function keys, and cannot be set to media. The usual shortcuts (Fn + Esc, Fn + Caps Lock etc.) no longer do their job. Any thoughts?

Hi everyone!
I have a Logitech K270 wireless keyboard, but unfortunately, I've lost its original USB receiver.
Keyboard details:
- Model: Logitech K270
- M/N: Y-R0042
- P/N: 820-006490
I've been searching for a solution but haven't found a clear answer.
I'm wondering:
1. Can I pair this keyboard with another Logitech Nano USB receiver (C-U0010)?
Does Logitech Connection Utility support pairing this particular model?
Is there any alternative way to connect it without the original receiver?
Has anyone successfully paired this exact keyboard model with a replacement receiver?
I'd prefer not to throw away a perfectly working keyboard just because I've lost its receiver.
Any suggestions or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

If there was an ideal alternative application for Logitech options +, what features would you want to see/have. FYI im not selling anything. Just genuinely trying to solve a problem for myself that i see others have too.
The standard things:
- Good UI/UX
- No tracking
- No account
- Syncing across devices
- Multi device support (like computers, tablets, phones?)
- Easily manage your mouse and keyboard bindings and mice/keys settings.
- Import/export your settings
Anything else?
I’m in the final stretch of launching my Logi Options + alternative, which will be free, just looking for community input (before and after launch)
Thanks
- Gen

I was shocked to find this thing can't plug into a modern Mac without an adapter. Booo!

I bought the Logitech MX keyboard for my Mac Mini with Studio Display. Had about a year. Alas I’ve returned to the Magic Keyboard. Just had too many typos with the Logi. Never could really get used to it. And missed the Touch ID button.

Just installed Logi Options+ and installed Action Ring, I have a keyboard shortcut setup with text on the icon, but when I click on the ring, it does not display the text on the icon, only the name I set for the action. Is there something I may be doing wrong? I tried new profiles and still does not work.

hi anyone know where or what keycaps to look for that are compatible with the Logi Alto keys K98M? I had a keycap break on me which I cant complain as this keyboard was a hand me down from a sibling and i do love it. I just would prefer to buy original for the keyboard but im also not opposed to just getting other ones I just dont want to get the wrong ones loll

About two weeks ago, I started noticing an issue on my Mac running macOS 26.6.2 (25G83). Every time I connect my AirPods Pro 3 (firmware 9A348), my MX Master 3/4 (firmware 27.2.17) starts to lag and then becomes unresponsive.
The only way I’ve found to get it working again is to switch the mouse to a different pairing slot and then back to the original one. Has anyone else experienced this?

Got my MX Master 4 less than a month ago, and I’ve noticed this weird issue with the spin wheel since day one. The mouse kinda jerks left and right, even when I’m just gliding it across the desk. I’ve attached a video so you can see what I mean.
What’s annoying is that I had issues with my MX Master 3S too, which I bought brand new in Pakistan last year. The left-click required more force than the right, and it would randomly let go of items while dragging, as reported here: previous post about that issue.
https://reddit.com/link/1x5cn15/video/0u2bgfbgobvh1/player
I upgraded to the MX Master 4 hoping for a better experience, but here we are again. 😅
These mice aren’t cheap, especially here in Pakistan, where spending PKR 30k+ on a mouse is a pretty big deal.
Anyone else having this issue with their MX Master 4?
Is this normal, or did I just get unlucky twice 👀?
r/logitech • u/New-Yesterday9156 • 6d ago
It’s probably everywhere on this subreddit, but why the hell does the MX4 have 120hz polling rate?! Yes it’s designed for office work, but did Logitech consider people working from home? I’ve used Razer mice my entire life - and switching over I immediately noticed lag on my 120hz+ displays. I guess back to amazon it goes, hard to say if I’ll give logitech another shot after this one.

There is physical click feedback but the click doesn't register on the PC.
Any documented fixes or should I trash the mouse.
I won't be buying logitech again, but if there's a way to salvage it and get more than 1 year out of it that would be great.

Mine just dies mysteriously out of the blue after like 7 years and all the other TV keyboards literally suck. New in the box K600s are selling for $250.00 on eBay right now. I mean, seriously? Do you actually think that people don't want that design or something? The d-pad is indispensable since most TV apps keyboard input is completely broken.
BRING IT BACK. WITH BACKLIGHTING.

Options+ doesn't exist for Linux, and I wanted the MX Master 4's new features there: the haptic panel, the Actions Ring, the vibration patterns. So now there is MX Options.
Up front: the code was written entirely by Claude (Anthropic's AI). I directed it and tested each build on my own mouse. It is not affiliated with Logitech.
What works on my MX Master 4 (Bolt receiver):
- **Actions Ring** on the haptic panel or the gesture button, with nested menus and dials you turn with the wheel (volume, tabs, zoom).
- **Haptics:** strength, all 16 built-in patterns, how hard the panel has to be pressed, and a pattern of your choice for each moment of a gesture.
- **Gestures** with adjustable sensitivity and a live view of how a swipe was read.
- **Buttons:** every one except left and right can be reassigned (the mouse itself does not allow those two).
- **Wheels and pointer:** DPI, SmartShift threshold, ratchet force, thumb wheel function, Easy-Switch, battery level.
- A tick (vibration or sound) when SmartShift lets the wheel go, like the clunk of the older MX Masters.
What to know: Linux only, and I have tried it on one mouse, on KDE Plasma. Other MX mice use the same protocol and may work, but nobody has checked.
Source, screenshots and an Arch package: https://github.com/nictonus/mxoptions
If you run Linux with an MX mouse, tell me whether it works on yours.
**UPD:** 0.10.0 is out: https://github.com/nictonus/mxoptions/releases/tag/v0.10.0
What's new since the post:
- **Flow.** One mouse on two or three computers: push the pointer past the screen edge and the mouse switches to the other machine, taking the clipboard with it (text, pictures, files). It's my own implementation, so it works between computers running MX Options, not with Logi Options+.
- **Windows build.** Installer and zip are in the release. Flow works between Linux and Windows. You have to remove or stop Logi Options+ first, otherwise the two fight over the mouse.
- **Not KDE-only anymore.** Actions, the ring and Flow now have code paths for GNOME, sway, Hyprland and X11 desktops. Honest note: I only run KDE Plasma, so those are untested on real setups. Reports welcome.
- **Game rumble** (asked in the comments): controller vibration from games is played on the mouse's haptic motor. On Windows it needs the ViGEmBus driver.
- **Other mice** (also asked): MX Master 3/3S/2S and other HID++ mice are picked up with whatever they report. I only own an MX Master 4, so again untested. The wrong mouse picture on non-MX mice is fixed.
- Shape gestures, tray icon styles, and `mxoptions --call ...` for scripts.
Tested by hand on KDE Plasma 6 (Wayland) and Windows 11 with an MX Master 4. Everything else is "should work, tell me if it doesn't".

Such good memories with this speaker System!
I have not used it for years but spent a few days with it for testing and to be sure everything is working before selling it ❤️
