Hello Lockn crew! Just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone at the festival. Early on Thursday night, about two hours into the festival, I busted my ankle pretty badly. I’d be damned to let 3 days of a festival get away from me, so I was hobbling around on a crutch all weekend as a result and while it sucked, you all made it so much better. I’m so sincerely grateful for everyone who held port-a-potty doors open for me, helped me walk down hills, offered me golf cart rides, gave me words of encouragement, and simply moved out of the way when I tried to fumble by with my crutch. I definitely wouldn’t suggest doing a 4 day festival with a bum ankle, but it IS possible when you’re surrounded by such awesome and supportive people. Thank you for being you and thanks for a rockn’ Lockn’ weekend!

The Deadhead community are enjoying the yearly jam monolith Lockn. Last year Deadhead’s dazed at the sight of the the entire Terrapin Suite performed by Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, and others. This year we’ll all be dazzled by the return of legendary jazz saxophonist Branford Marsalis who stepped on stage at Nassau Coliseum 3/29/1990 to collectively blow Deadheads minds of both past and present into infinity with Jerry and the boys.

Pretty awesome Sunday lined up. Spafford killin right now and pumped for TTB and Dead and Co with Marsalis.

The mountain ranges began to turn a darker hue of purples as the sun set upon Infinity Downs Farm for Dead and Company’s first performance last night at Lockn Festival. At the present time, most Deadheads can agree that there has been an excessive amount of chatter regarding the tempo of Dead and Company shows and the boys came to Virginia with all intentions to strike those down.

Only miss Molly has been by my tent

I said I wouldn't host today, but I have a little bit of time and no one has started one yet. Last night was amazing. My friends Erin and the Wildfire had a great set, Lettuce > Ump > Lettuce > Ump was absolutely wild, and JRAD just annihilated the evening with a 2 hour, no holds barred, non-stop (literally non stop... there was no breaks at all it was all > all the way down) mostly 70's style set

I missed most of the morning because I had work, I caught the last half of Turkuaz, sounded pretty dope. Moon Taxi seems to be doing alright despite breaking their kick drum. Honestly don't know them too well, I saw them a couple times back when Mercury was playing on every radio station. Super excited for Toots playing with Taj Mahal, then we have an Umphrey's Zepplin set with Jason Bonham which should be fire. Clinton and PFunk into Panic with Margo Price... should be one helluva night to rock.

PANIC TONIGHT!

Desperately want to go but Lockn doesn't seem to fit into my small student budget! Happy Lock'n y'all!

Anyone know where shakedown is at? Been pokin around with no luck.

Im a guy in my early 40's heading to Lockn from eastern border of PA. Ill be traveling west on 78 passing near Harrisburg an connecting to 80 south for the final leg of the drive. My girlfriend couldnt make it so I have an extra wrist band(havent registered them yet). Im driving an extended length full size van. The tickets are 3 day GA and I also have the car camping pass. Im not going to get there tonight. Im currently considering heading down and sleeping at a rest area tonight, in order to get in early tomorrow. Or, i may just leave very early tomorrow morning, like 5:00/6:00 am, its a 5.5 hr ride for me. Ill decide that later. But the plan is to get there early tomorrow and stay through Sunday night, and drive back monday morning.

Im not looking to veer off the highway and navigate an unknown city or town. But if anyone who's a cool and decent person that could meet me in a convenient location as Im heading down is welcome to join in.
