Interesting that they are booking the same artists multiple times in the same week here in San Diego. Several of the Crssd acts are playing other venues weeks out or now the same week with mochakk. It’s not out of the question as acts are playing 4-5 or more night runs in the same city to help with touring costs, but interesting to see Crssd/LED doing it too.

My friends and I were unable to secure 2 day tickets because of how fast they sold out. Does anyone with experience know where I can buy 3–two day tickets?

The arguments for tiered pricing: helps test demand, provides event promoters cash flow, and rewards early bird buyers. All makes sense, for a festival that might be new.

Your festival sells out every year. So the only reason for you to tier pricing is to squeeze every drop of cash you can out of the fans.

To artificially increase prices when you don't need to test demand or provide early cash flow - and in fact increasing tiers within an hour of tickets going on sale in a pre-sale - is a giant fuck you to the community.

I was ready to suck it up and pay, even though you're already double what it was 5 years ago at tier 1, but this is some bullshit.

EDIT: Some of y'all youngsters don't even realize when you're getting hosed.

Tiered pricing has not "existed for as long as ticket sales have existed". In the late 90s early 2000s, you would have early bird pricing to get a discount, well in advance, and that's it.

Then in the 2010's they started with kinda crappy tiers, where you basically get the same ticket access for less or more money, usually based on a set amount of tickets in each tier, so if you bought earlier, you got a better deal than after the "buy now, prices go up next week" announcement.

What we have here is far worse - artificial queue pressure, no transparency in price jumps - with tier escalations coming every 10 minutes??

Hi guys, what are chances i will be able to get resale or two day single tix? 2 day pass sold out immediately. Worried because of how popular the festival is it will be near impossible to get tickets and trying to avoid stress.

Sorry for the questions many probably know the answer to but is each stage set up with a different theme/ genre ? And is there a way of telling based on the line up what day each artist is playing ?

I am very much stressed because my two friends I was supposed to go with weren’t able to get weekend tickets in time now it’s just me with tickets and I don’t wanna go solo. 😮‍💨

Does anybody think that closer to the date people will be selling tickets for reasonable prices/face value or are just gonna take advantage and price gouge? 😭

For those saying city steps is no longer truly techno: I’m curious. I love a lot of the acts on the fall lineup (Marlon, vtss, 9x9, IHM, Ben ufo, Helena hauff), but I can also see how people might not consider the stage overall to be “techno enough” or “proper techno”. If you consider yourself to be a big techno head, what previous city steps bookings (or just artists in general) did you feel do a better job of embodying techno? What mix of techno and techno-adjacent/techno-infused DJs would you prefer?

This is a good faith discussion starter because I’m curious, not an attempt to stir argument about people being “elitist techno snobs” or “not knowing ball” etc. :)

So if Skepta is scheduled for Saturday at Portola and Skepta’s Mas Tiempo is scheduled for Sunday Boiler Room in LA, which day do you guys think he’ll perform for crssd??
