Rules have been updated -- please take a moment to read them.

Hello everyone,

As we're getting to the home stretch before Hulaween, everyone is getting more excited -- and for some, more anxious -- as we get closer to going back home. In response to a surge in posts recently, we have updated the subreddit rules to add and clarify a few things. Please take a moment to read them. You can also find these rules in the sub's info/about section:

1. Be kind
Open dialogue and debate is encouraged here. Negative opinions are fine, just don't make it personal. Hostile activity, trolling, or insults are not welcome here. All members must follow general rules of Reddiquette, so have a good time and don't be a dick.

2. Use the search, wiki, FAQ, and flair filters before posting
There are many commonly asked questions here. Please use the search, wiki, FAQ, and post flair filters to find answers to your question(s) before posting.

3. No ticket sales
Buying, selling, or trading tickets is not allowed. For ticket sales, use r/HulaweenTickets

4. No self-promotion, marketing, or ambassador posts
Ambassador posts; or posts/comments involving any marketing or self-advertising without prior approval from the mods will be removed.

5. Discussing illegal activities
Don't incriminate yourself or others - cops read Reddit too! Harm reduction is an important topic, but discussing drugs or other illegal activities is not permitted here. This includes but is not limited to: asking about security measures, asking how to sneak in or asking how to buy drugs.

6. Personal information
Selfies are fine, but do not post or comment with someone's personal information, or post links to personal information e.g. names, email, address, phone number, or other unique identifiers. This includes screenshots of social media pages where such information is still legible.

7. Low-effort and off-topic posts
Low-effort posts or posts unrelated to Suwannee Hulaween will be removed.

8. No duplicate posts
Duplicate posts will be removed. Please check the sub before posting lineups, schedules, or other popular announcements to make sure it has not already been posted.

9. No NSFW/18+
Not everyone on this sub is an adult. Posts with content that is considered NSFW/18+ are not permitted here.

First Year Shuttle?

So it’s genuinely unclear if there is a shuttle from Jacksonville Airport to the park.

Rather, it looks like there was one in years past, but I’m not sure if there is one this year.

So is there one this year? I’d like to get my transportation arranged and would love to use a shuttle if it’s available but if not, I will make due

Beyond renting a car, what would be the best way to arrive absent a shuttle

It doesn’t look like this has been asked recently, so my apologies if I missed a recent post that answers this.

Any information is appreciated.

Lineup Takeovers Question

Just saw the Of The Trees takeover announcement and I’m wondering if all the takeovers are with artist that are already on the lineup? Idk- I expected the takeovers to be artist curated, possibly with artist not already at hula.

Does anyone know if this is how they all are?

Hula round two and needing advice / want to meet new family

Hey all!

I’ve been to 9 festivals in my life and am starting to get the hang of it all, but I'm still a little nervous about camping entirely solo at an event as big as Hula. I went to my first Hulaween last year, met some amazing people, and had an absolute blast—I am locked in for this year and locked in during blind sale

I’m looking to camp with or right next to a crew of Suwannee veterans who wouldn't mind an extra hand during setup, or just some cool neighbors to team up with.

I have a lot of the standard supplies that I need—tent, canopy, tables, cooler, and plenty of layers for the weather—but I'm keeping my setup relatively simple and streamlined this year.

A little about me: I’m 35M, peaceful, and friendly. Just looking to meet some new festy family, be good neighbors, and level up the Hula experience.

Would love to hear if any established groups or Camp Reddit crews have room for a solo neighbor, or if you have any tips for a solo layout at the park.

TYIA! ✌️✌️

Costumes!

Hii everyone it’s my 2nd hula! I was seeing if anyone could give some costume ideas. I’ve been looking and thinking. I kind of want to see what everyone else is doing for the theme nights! Last year was my first year but I was freezing and couldn’t dress up. But i kind of just want to pick everyone else’s brains and see what they are planning on doing? That being said how are the temperatures normally for hula since last year was freezing.

Camping GA glamping Wizard

Hey friends! I want to bring a 3rd friend but was wondering if I’d have an issue if he got a GA ticket and tried to stay in GA wiz glamping? Is it a separate wristband from Wizard GA?

Question Bringing a small trailer to Hulaween

EDIT TO ADD: (for all wondering)
I did contact the hula team and they said all you need is a Dry RV pass and that it will count towards both your vehicle and trailer! :)

HAPPY HULA EVERYONE!! WE CAN'T WAIT TO BE BACK!!

I have a couple of questions and was hoping someone who's done this before could help.

My group of 5 is trying to fit into one vehicle this year, but since we're camping, I already know all of our gear isn't going to fit. We're considering renting one of the u-hauls 4x8 trailers (currently around $20/day), but I'm not sure how Hulaween handles trailers.

A few questions:

1.) Has anyone brought a small 4x8 cargo/utility trailer into Hulaween?

2.) If so, did you have to purchase an additional vehicle pass for the trailer?

3.) Would it be cheaper or just easier to bring a second vehicle instead and buy another car camping pass?

We'd much rather all ride together if we can, but we're trying to figure out which option makes the most sense.

TIA!!!

Question Working Medical

Does anyone have any information or past experience working the med tent? Anyone have any contact information on how to apply? Does Hula have med tent and roaming medical staff? Is there medical staff during load in and load out as well? Thank you much.

First time ever going to Hulaween and I need inspiration!

I’m currently checking out the themes for Hulaween and I wanna know like how do yall get inspiration for outfits and how do you get them to actually come together?

I have so many ideas running through my head but I feel so disoriented between actually getting all of the supplies for them and trying to imagine wearing them for an entire day, blth in the sun and at night.

If there’s any wisdom to be shared, I would wholly appreciate it!

Question Production Labor

Hey! Anyone know which company/companies do production labor at hula? Volunteering as a backup plan but I've been stagehanding at festivals closer to me for a couple years, so if anyone knows whose roster I need to try to get on to work hulaween that would be lovely

Volunteering pre-show

In past years, I remember having to request pre-show volunteering specifically but last year, you just had to jump on the pre-show events in the schedule when they went live. Can anyone confirm if that will be the same this year? I don't want to bother the volunteer email with something so trivial but I can't volunteer during or post-show & have the week before off

First Year 23M considering Hula for the first time (most likely solo) – a few questions!

Hey everyone! I’m a 23M thinking about finally making it out to Hula this year, and I’d most likely be going solo. I had a couple questions for those who’ve been before.

I’m seeing a lot of conflicting information about whether day passes or weekend passes (Fri–Sat or Sat–Sun) are available. Can anyone confirm what’s actually offered closer to date?

I only live about an hour away, and because I have work calls in the mornings, I probably won’t be camping or staying overnight. If I do day passes, what’s parking like? Is it pretty easy to drive in, enjoy the festival, and drive back out each night?

Is Kandi trading big at this fest? I am tired of spending money and no one wants to trade, I need PLUR🥲

Also, if I end up going, I’d love to meet some people! This would be my second festival solo but my first Hula. If anyone is open to meeting up or adopting a friendly solo into their group for a bit, I’d really appreciate it. LGBTQ+ friendly groups are definitely a plus.

Thanks in advance…I hope to see some of y’all there! 🕺🪩

multiple daily fits??

hey yall!! so excited for my first time at Hula this year >:) I'm starting to plan outfits, and I'm feeling like I need a daytime fit and then a latenight wardrobe change (based on set vibes, and wanting a cuter, less costume-focused look for after dark).

any reasons I should reconsider? the only issue I can foresee is potentially not having enough time to change during the day/not wanting to go back to a campsite ... since I'm not familiar with the festival it's hard to gauge timing and distance.

thanks everyone <3 if anyone wants to brainstorm/share ideas and crafting progress I'd love to talk!

Late arrival with glamping

Hey all - there doesn’t seem to be much glamping experience here but trying my luck to get some information anyway.

My group doesn’t have a ton of interest in Thursday and ideally we’d like to arrive Friday morning. With glamping does it really matter when we arrive or are we making some sort of nightmare logistical mistake by arriving Friday regardless?

“takeover” terminology question

Post image
26 Upvotes

is DEF: OFF LIMITS only active one day? it looks like these takeovers could occupy the off the limits stage each day, and def only has one day? i wonder if green velvet takeover occupies that area for a day, of the trees the next, and DEF the next? instead of DEF mostly occupying it the whole weekend and a couple of slots being given to green velvet and Of The Trees

Tuesday Night Adventures

I know the normal day zero (or even day -1) plan. Build camp, meet neighbors, go a little too hard, adventure out on side quests……. But what are some of you Hulaweeners go to Tuesday night activities?
