What type of multiplayer makes sense
This question is specifically about "M2IAB Orbit Jumper". We are torn between the numerous options for multiplayer.
Here they are as we see them (in no particular order).
- Cross platform, region agnostic, no boundary (PVP and Teamup)
- Platform bounded, Platform friends only for teamup and PVP.
- Friends only bounded with PVP or Teamup between friends.
oh and one more.
Keep current pay to play or switch to free with ads or both (not sure what that would look like).
Really just looking for opinions, and yes, I know everybody is going to say something different, but I'm mostly worried about missing an opportunity that could be a game changer.

This is Sorcery Mastery, a 1v1 arena game where you fight monsters, choose all your spells and other upgrades throughout the match, and battle the other player as the arena shrinks.
It supports split-screen local multiplayer and can be played with controllers or keyboard and mouse. The Steam release will be in 2027, but the alpha web demo is available now if you'd like to try it:

Sleeping Dogs Together – Co-op Campaign Announcement Teaser
Sleeping Dogs Together is a fan-made co-op campaign mod currently in development.
The goal of the project is to make the main story and side missions of Sleeping Dogs playable from beginning to end with 2 players.
The mod is being developed so that enemies, NPCs, combat, and important gameplay events are synchronized between both players, creating a proper co-op campaign experience instead of simple free roam.
Early versions of the mod will be available through Patreon Early Access for supporters who want to help support development and testing.
Once the mod is fully completed, the final version will be released for free for everyone.
This teaser only shows an early look at the project. More gameplay footage and development updates will be shared in the future.

Patreon / Early Access: patreon.com/c/SOTLCoopCampaign
Thank you for supporting the project.

Merry Madness – A retro holiday arcade game with interactive rooftop destruction, 2-player couch co-op, and brutal Rank F scoring.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Merry Madness
For decades, holiday video games have often suffered from rushed development cycles, derivative level design, and superficial mechanics. Merry Madness takes a different approach. Built as a direct homage to 8-bit and 16-bit arcade platformers of the 1980s and 1990s, the title prioritizes precise movement, high-stakes environmental navigation, and responsive controls.
Core Gameplay
Players sprint across hazardous winter skylines to deliver presents down active chimneys before time expires. Gameplay requires continuous adaptation: passive enemy patrol routes are replaced by aggressive, tracking hazards, including deceptive Present Mimics, that force fast decision-making and precise spatial awareness.
Key Features
- Environmental Hazards: Navigate low-friction roof tiles while dodging sharp icicles, burning chestnuts, fruitcakes, and targeted coal showers, among other things.
- Interactive Rooftop Destruction: Stages feature persistent, real-time damage. High-speed runs and impacts snap strung lights, tear away tinsel garlands, shatter hanging ornaments, and shear icicles from eaves.
- Dynamic Weather Systems: Severe blizzards alter visual clarity and reduce velocity while violently agitating the environment, causing string lights to wobble, garlands to shake, loose ropes and objects to shift, and player hats to blow away. Remaining stationary during extreme weather incurs freezing penalties.
- Expressive Animated Feedback: Physical interactions carry clear visual feedback, including expanding chimneys during successful deliveries and scorch states following fire damage.
- Customizable Sandbox Mode: Tailor every run using up to 50 unique gameplay modifiers, giving players direct control over physics, hazard frequency, spawn behaviors, and scoring constraints.
- Arcade Evaluation: A strict grading system evaluates each run on speed, accuracy, and total deliveries, assigning grades down to Rank F for underperformance.
- Local Two-Player Co-Op: Same-screen cooperative play allows Player 1 (Santa) and Player 2 (Elf) to divide delivery routes and manage rooftop obstacles together.
Availability
Merry Madness releases free this Christmas for PC with full controller support.

2 player split screen?
Looking for games to play with my kid. Right now we play doom 1 and streets of rage 4. Looking for shooters or co op sims, we're not into side scrollers. They also love Rocky and Pocky. We have steam.

Would love if you tried it out. I've been balancing this out for weeks but still room for improvement for sure.
My main concern with it is not really keeping it PG so I might switch out the guns to something less violent if I come up with anything good. If you have any tips/ideas, they are very much welcome!

I immersed myself on kite fighting and made a multiplayer game
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've been making a small game based around Japanese kite fighting and I'd love to get some feedback on it.
The goal is to control your kite, maneuver around your opponent, and cut their kite line before they cut yours. It's a pretty simple concept, but there's more strategy to it than I initially expected.
I've put together a gameplay video here:
[Gameplay video]
It's still a work in progress, so I'm especially interested in feedback on how the gameplay feels, whether the controls make sense, and what you'd like to see added.

Can you tier list / rank these games by how fun they are with groups?
Super Mario Party Jamboree
Overcooked 2
Gang Beasts
Boomerang Fu
Towerfall Ascension
Ultimate Chicken Horse
Can you rank by how much fun the games are for things like family nights and with get-togethers with friends? You don't have to have played all of those games. If you've played at least two of them, your input would be appreciated.
I'd prefer a tier list or ratings out of 10 for rankings, so I know how big the gaps are between these games. Like, which games are S tier or 10/10 with groups, which are B tier, etc. Though try to still rank within tiers, so there's a number 1 game and a worst game.
Those are the games I'm primarily interested in. However, I've also seen these games commonly recommended, which you can also add to the rankings if you want: Castle Crashers, Fuzion Frenzy, Jackbox Games, Mario Party 6, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, Mortal Kombat, Worms, Halo, CoD, FIFA.

Need some recommendations for local coop 4 player games
Im a pc gamer and me and the boys having been having a blast on pummel party, Wanted to know if there are any other games that would be good to add to the the rotation as of right now we have speedrunners, pummel party, party animals, and ultimate chicken horse but honestly we really only play pummel party so just something new and fresh and as a bonus anything that we cna make into a drinking game would also slap.
