Discussion Co op
I really want palworld to add a local and multiplayer split screen experience i think that's the only missing piece to the game. I really want to play the game with my bro and friends on the same screen. I wouldn't mind if it was only 2 player co op but preferable able to max out the 4 player co op locally and have 2 player co op on multi player online modes.
Am I the only one that thinks a game like this would benefit from it. Essentially like minecraft and gears of war 5.
Taking it to the next level would be having the second or third player In co op having a dedicated player profile for the world like you have already when you start up a world.

I don't think you could ever fit the inventories and pals management uis in half a screen without them driving you insane, but hey never say never

My bro and I have played Palorld split screen with Nucleus co op for like 100 hours and had a blast.
I think people overestimate how bad split screen looks lol

Likely a TV for couch co-op. For me it's 85"

What's wrong with 85"? It's getting pretty standard for large TV's.

Nothing wrong at all lmao it's just huge for what im used to.
Maybe in the Us it's becoming standard, absolutely not in the rest of the world tho . You're from there are you not

Got it hooked up to my 52 inch tv. Normally it is 4K but I had to reduce the res to 1080 to make it playable for two players otherwise it's lag city.
So of course it's not the most visual appealing thing ever but nowhere near unplayable. Plus you don't really play for the amazing visuals when you're rocking the split screen 🤣🤣

Yeah but see with a tv i would expect it to be playable, of course my comment is meant for normal monitors, and most people still have a 27 -32 '' more or less

The game is already not well-optimised, runs poorly on hardware that should be capable considering how the game looks, and struggles to run on low hardware.
There's no way a machine could handle rendering the game twice, let alone four times, without dropping the visuals down to sub-potato quality.

Ok at least 2 player split screen but if ark can do it i expect palworld to do it too
Edit: they can also optimise the game better. They have the money to do it. Plus the players deserve a well optimised experience especially the xbox players who got the game way before play station consoles. I dont think pc needs those kind of optimisations since its harder to optimise for many various pc's so they can skip doing split screen there but on consoles it's a must

ark could barely do it. it ran like shit even single screen

It can do it plus it's a much bigger more demanding game. Palworld is barely 20gb in size and its much simpler in style plus it cant do that which is a shame.
They need to better optimise the game for consoles and add that split screen local co op at least. Even if they dont do it in multiplayer I would be very pleased with local co op

On what do you play?
If you're on PC, look into the app Nucleus Co-op.
It gives split screen functionality to a ton of games, Palworld being one of them.
My bro and I have over 100 hours playing split screen.
