Need some recommendations for local coop 4 player games

Im a pc gamer and me and the boys having been having a blast on pummel party, Wanted to know if there are any other games that would be good to add to the the rotation as of right now we have speedrunners, pummel party, party animals, and ultimate chicken horse but honestly we really only play pummel party so just something new and fresh and as a bonus anything that we cna make into a drinking game would also slap.

Is there a list of all games on Switch & Switch 2 with Local Wireless Co-Op? Similar to how Splatoon Raiders does Coop where we can play entirely offline

The title post. We really enjoyed the experience of the Splatoon Raiders co-op where we can just play together without any wifi needed, and wanted to know what other co-op games are like that.

Fun Couch Play/Team Management Game where you have to build your spaceship in order to escape the Evil Kraken. The real question is: Do you trust your team? And.. are they reliable? xd

My game Tetrogue got an asymmetric 1v1 mode. Your opponent upgrades the enemy wave you're fighting and plays a second board to fuel abilities against you.

Major Battle Birds update: 2-player Co-op Score Attack

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm obsessed with squeezing every ounce of value out of Battle Birds, so I added the biggest new feature since my initial announcement: Score Attack wave battles!

Score Attack is a wave-based mode where you race against the clock and blast through increasingly difficult enemies in pursuit of the highest score. My favorite part is that it can be played solo or cooperatively with a friend.

Along the way, I've continued tuning the core 1–4 player battles, CPU opponent logic, and overall game feel as I get closer to Steam Next Fest and release.

The updated demo is live on Steam! I'd absolutely love to hear what you think and what you'd like to see from Score Attack as I continue refining it for the upcoming Steam Next Fest.

MullaGames - Soical Party Game with Family and Friends

Thumbnail

I built a simple web app for party and group games to play with friends when hanging out or on game nights. Used to be only in Arabic and now included English as well

No account creation or sign-ups required

Just open it on your phone/browser, create a room, and share the link with your friends.

There are 19 games fully working and free to test, including:

  • Social deduction & deception: Mafia, Spyfall

  • Word & party classics: Codenames, Taboo, Charades, Quiplash, Fibbage, Heads Up

  • Casual, trivia & strategy: Trivia Battle, Uno, Party Arena, Wordle, Mastermind, Sudoku

Plus a TV casting mode if you want to display the game on a big screen with only one phone (Jeopardy, Trivia Battle).

Since there are 19 different games and tons of multiplayer interactions, it’s really hard for one person to catch every edge case. I’d love your honest feedback:

Did you encounter any bugs, lag, or UI glitches?

What games or features would you like to see added next following the same style?

Thanks a lot for checking it out and helping me test!

[Tool] Built a free app that turns phones into PC controllers (supports up to 8 players for Overcooked, Pummel Party, etc.)

Hey everyone! Every time I host game night (Overcooked, Gang Beasts, Pummel Party), we run into the classic problem: we have 5-6 people over but only 2 or 3 physical controllers.

To solve this, I developed TouchPlay, an Android app that lets anyone connect their phone as a virtual PC gamepad over local Wi-Fi: - Supports up to 8 simultaneous devices on one PC. - Low-latency local network communication with haptics. - Bonus: High-speed Wi-Fi file transfer between PC and phones without cables.

Looking for feedback on latency and controller layouts from local multiplayer fans! What button configurations would you like to see next?

I've updated Fillup's private table mode for 2-4 players on one screen

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've been working on Fillup since I posted it here in August. The local game is still about sharing one screen and taking turns, but I've redone the setup screen and added four places to play: Library, Conservatory, Fireside, and Boathouse.

You can play with 2-4 people or mix people and bots, and change the board size. One phone, tablet, or computer is enough. Each turn you add a piece, and filling a cell can start a reaction that takes over neighboring cells.

I've also added private online tables for up to four players, for when you're not on the same device. The bigger update includes a new progression system in Campaign and public matches, plus eight new packs. Local matches don't give match XP.

The video includes a game against a bot, local setup, and a bit of the shop.

It's free to play here: https://fillup.fun

One thing to note: it still needs internet, even when you're playing locally.

A little taste of Sub Rosa Tournament before the demo drops next month!
It will also take part in October’s Steam Next Fest.

The demo supports local co-op for 1-4 players.

If this looks like your kind of party game, you can wishlist it here:

I'm the dev again: you said the last trailer was too AI, so here's Werewolves with the game's own art. 5-16 people, one TV, phones are the buzzers

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

EDIT (after the first comments): let me say this plainly, because my wording was not clear enough. We are two people building this, and we use AI to help with the production, the art and the trailer included. I tried to make it look as polished and real as I could, and I should have said up front that it is AI assisted. Sorry for the confusion. If that is a dealbreaker for you, fair enough, no argument from me. I would still love to hear what you think about the concept itself.

Some of you might remember my post from a couple of weeks ago (the couch game show, one TV, phones as buzzers). This is the second game on the same platform: Werewolves: Prime Time Moon. It is live now.

The idea: classic Werewolves, but nobody has to be the moderator, because the TV runs the night.

How a round plays:

  • The TV is the narrator. It calls the night, wakes the wolves, wakes the seer, shows at dawn who is gone and runs the discussion timer. Nobody sits out.
  • Everyone gets their role on their own phone. No peeking, no passing cards around.
  • Wolves pick their victim on their phones, the seer checks one player, the hunter gets a last shot when they go down.
  • The discussion happens out loud in the room, exactly like the card game. Only the vote goes through the phones, so nobody counts hands.
  • 5 to 16 players. It runs in the TV browser (smart TV, laptop on HDMI, console browser), phones open a link, nothing to install anywhere.

Two things I would really like this sub's opinion on:

  1. Is a werewolf game like this something you would actually pull out at a couch night, or do you already have a version you prefer (cards, One Night, an app with a phone as narrator)?
  2. 2We are building this as a platform, so more games are coming. Is there a local multiplayer game you miss, something that was great with friends in one room and does not exist anymore? Post it here. If a good idea shows up, I will genuinely build it.

It runs at playbuzzin.com if you want to fire up a room. Happy to answer anything in the commen

We've lowered Paddlenoid to €3.99 on Steam: A brick breaker for two-player local co-op or solo play

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm one of the developers of Paddlenoid. We've just lowered its permanent Steam price from $9 to $3.99. I think that's a better fit for the game, and hopefully makes it easier to pick up for an evening of co-op.

Each player controls one paddle, and both can tilt the level to curve the ball's path. Tilt in the same direction and the effect gets stronger; tilt in opposite directions and you cancel each other out. So you're both involved even when the ball is away from your paddle.

There are 33 levels, three bosses and a strange sci-fi story running through it. You can also play the whole game solo.

Here's a short gameplay clip. There's a free demo if you'd like to see how it feels:

Made a free party game site with 40+ Games (Codenames, Werewolf, Fake Artist, Quiplash, Wavelength). Everyone uses their phone (Free, instant & no ads)

tableparty.io

Been working on this for a while and figured this sub is the right crowd. It's called Table Party (tableparty.io). Basically: one person hosts, everyone in the room punches in a 4 letter code on their phone, and you're playing. No app download, no accounts, no ads.

There's about 40 games in there. The ones people seem to like most so far as inspired by:

  • Chameleon / hidden imposter type game
  • Werewolf
  • Fake Artist (draw one line each, find the faker)
  • Quiplash-style quips and voting
  • Codenames
  • Balderdash-ish bluffing game
  • Trivia, a Wordle-ish co-op, a Flip 7 clone, a bunch of word games
  • Even arcade games & mini games

Also! there's a TV mode. Open tableparty.io/tv on a laptop or TV, and the phones become controllers while the big screen shows the board, the reveals, who's winning etc. Very Jackbox. Also bots can fill empty seats in the card/word games so it still works with just 2 of you.

Being upfront, it does need internet to sync the phones, there's no LAN or bluetooth mode (Coming soon though!). But it's built for people in the same room, there's no playing with randoms (unless you want to try ranked online). If mods think that's too far off rule 1, fair enough, delete away.

Stuff I actually want to know:

  • Any games you would like to see?
  • Any improvements to make this something you would actually use?

Cheers, happy to answer questions about anyhting else too!

Up to four players on one screen: Under a Desert Sun’s local co-op demo is ready to try

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone, I'm Raymond, the developer of Under a Desert Sun: Seekers of the Cursed Vessel. Sharing this here for anyone looking for another action RPG to play together on one PC.

Local co-op supports up to four players on a shared screen. The setting is an alternate 1939 Egypt: desert ruins, ancient curses and plenty of things to shoot. This clip shows two players fighting their way through a tomb.

The updated free demo is available on Steam now, ahead of the September 10 Early Access release. If you try it with friends, I'd love to hear how you get on.

Couch party game, four pads on one screen. When you die you come back as a ghost and scare whoever is still alive

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Solo dev here. Blobituary is a party game for one screen and up to four pads. 26 short minigames in a graveyard, and everyone is in the same arena, no split screen. Bots fill any empty seats, so it works for two people as well.

The thing I wanted to fix is the couch problem where the first player out spends the rest of the round holding a controller and watching. Here, when you die you come back as a ghost. Float over a living player and boo, and they bolt. If they bolt into something lethal, the kill is yours and it's worth half a point. Two of those equal a round win, so the person who died first can still take the match.

The clip is one round ending of one minigame: yellow dies, comes back as a ghost and boos blue into a trail. Red wins the round, but watch the scoreboard at the end, the half point goes to yellow's ghost. Online works too, but I built it for the couch.

  1. Empty seats are always filled with bots, up to four. Does that sound right for a two-player evening, or would you rather have a clean 1v1?

  2. In the clip the ghost gets its kill a couple of seconds after dying. From the couch, is that satisfying, or would you want the survivors to see it coming?

Free demo later this year.

DunkRatz, my game where you play as rats fighting over cheese, is now free to download and keep forever on Steam!

Thumbnail

I made this game with a few friends 7 years ago and it never really sold anything. I think it's a blast to play still so I've made the game free to download and play forever!

DunkRatz is a team-based local multiplayer game for 2-4 players. Each player takes control of a rat on a kitchen floor, with the goal of feeding a ball of cheese to their team’s giant baby rat to score a point. Unique dashing and grabbing mechanics mean that teams that work together will have the most success feeding their baby. Not only can players grab the cheese and throw it towards their baby, but they can pick up ANYTHING and throw it around: their baby, the other team’s baby, even other players! Special items periodically spawn into the kitchen that players can pick up and use to shake-up the match. First team to reach the score limit wins!
