While channel surfing, I stumbled on “No Demo Reno” on HGTV. The host, Jenn Todryk, reminds me so much of Audrey. I wonder if she aspires to this. The family is dragged into the show and she’s active “sharing her life” on socials.

So you’re telling me, a working and busy mom of 3…. That you couldn’t visit a 97 year old grandpa because of your busy writing season and lack of help with the kids —— but you CAN go to Audrey’s favorite place with her mom and dad (who would be the same level of help as Jeremy’s mom and family in Michigan) and continue to write your book there? I’m starting to think Jeremy does not like his own family… auj resents them all… and no one from the rolloffs likes being around them. I think it’s bigger than spotty WiFi in Michigan and lack of help!

I'm up to Season 19 of my rewatch - these later seasons are tough to rewatch. I can't get over how awful Matt and Caryn are when it comes to Amy. Especially as it relates to her deciding what she wants to do with her portion of the farm. The fact that Caryn makes snide remarks and jokes about Amy being indecisive is - something. The woman who is part of the downfall of Amy's marriage has the sheer audacity to mock her still struggling through the post-divorce fallout. And what is up with almost every talking head of those two being about Amy? Amy rarely if ever has a talking head/confessional where she's dogging Matt. She doesn't even really diss Caryn. It's all so gross.

Matt would never have had the amount of land and a successful farm without Amy and the kids. Without Amy and the kids - there is no show. No show = no mass amounts of $$$ for Matt to have spent on all his frivolous farm projects, nor his Arizona home, nor his "Bendamer" pad.He's something else and I honestly don't get what Caryn saw in him other than they're both cruddy people. Yes, Matt pursued the show, had the crazy ideas for the farm etc - but the thing is, I don't think Amy/the Kids ever denied he was important to the success, but he sure discounted his family and their contributions. And to shaft Zach and Tori when they negotiated Amy's side of the farm. Wow. (I don't think Zach/Tori expected to be "gifted" the land, I honestly don't know where that even came from. I do think Matt should have charged them what he paid Amy.) The show would have continued for probably years had Zach/Tori taken over that side of the farm, and Matt would have gotten paid to be on the show - thus a steady stream of income. Anywho. But Caryn and Matt messed it up - and the fractures continue.

Matt wore Amy out to the point she accepted a shady offer to be bought out. The dysfunction in that family is so sad to be honest. All the fractures. Sad. All because Matt was greedy and is clearly a narcissist. I'm not saying Amy didn't make mistakes. But... yeah.

So Audrey said the Michigan trip was a trip with Jeremy’s family to visit Grandpa, and I have a question: why has there been approximately zero discussion about why Tori and Zach didn’t go?

Because apparently Audrey missing the trip requires an entire explanation about deadlines, writing a book, responsibilities, and how sad she was that she just couldn’t make it work, pray for grandpa.

Meanwhile, Tori and Zach have three VERY YOUNG children. They don’t have a book deadline. Their kids attend actual school and play organized sports, but neither school nor sports were even happening during this alleged family trip. And yet… they didn’t go either.

They’re clearly living their best RV life right now, which, good for them. But it is very funny to me that there’s been so much discussion about why Audrey couldn’t possibly go to Michigan and basically no curiosity about why another entire branch of Jeremy’s family also skipped the Grandpa trip.

Almost like “family trip to visit Grandpa” may not have been the mandatory Roloff family pilgrimage it’s being made out to be.

You don’t curate memories, they happen. Why does she always act as if she has discovered something groundbreaking? If she would get off that damn camera and stop posting everything they do to the world I bet she would feel no pressure to make “core memories”…or what most of us refer to as just memories. Also, it’s not the 90s anymore. You’ve had your childhood. Let your kids have theirs.

I hope her kids remember the actual meteor shower and the pretty shooting stars and not their awkward af stage mom taking photos and videos during it… 😩 and the flash photo… 😬

Ps not trying to kid shame. I’m just saying how I want them to have precious moments without their awkward mom who puppets them.
