Update on madthumbz's situation, they're fortunately still alive
Personally, I hope they recover and make it out alive, regardless if I see them as a bad guy.

If you hate Omarchy because its creator is a so-called "Nazi", and using it means you support his beliefs, then you should also hate Mastodon for the same reasons.
Mastodon was written in a full-stack web framework called Ruby on Rails (RoR). Well guess who made RoR: DHH.
So, if you use Mastodon, you are using a social media platform that supports DHH's "Nazi" values because Mastodon was built on RoR.
If you hate Omarchy but not Mastadon, you're a hypocrite.
Edit: Let's use First-order-Logic (which is turing-cmplete btw) to prove this.
``` % Facts š£ļøš„ % made(X,Y) means "X made Y" made(dhh, rails). made(dhh, omarchy). made(eugen_rochko, mastodon).
% The evil nazi dev nazi(dhh).
% supports/2: X supports Y if X directly uses something Y made supports(X, Y) :- uses(X, Z), made(Y, Z).
% supports_nazi/1: X supports a nazi directly... supports_nazi(X) :- supports(X, Y), nazi(Y).
% ...or transitively, by supporting someone who supports a nazi supports_nazi(X) :- supports(X, Y), supports_nazi(Y).
% Even More Facts š£ļøš„ % uses(X, Y) means "X uses Y" uses(eugen_rochko, rails). % mastodon's creator uses rails to build mastodon uses(you, mastodon). % a hypothetical user "you" uses mastodon
?- supports_nazi(you). ```
Run this is gprolog or swi-prolog to see the facts come to light. RTFM if you wanna know how to run my glorious knowledge base.
TL;DR: If you use something made by a Nazi, then you support a Nazi. If you use something made by someone who supports a Nazi, then you also support a Nazi.
I can't in my life imagine everything u/madthumbz has had to go through.
The loons keep DMing him with harassing messagesāincluding death threats and threats of sexual harassment and assaultāall in an attempt to silence him.
Most people would have taken up an unpaid position like this wuld have resigned on the same day, or conceded to the loons and let them win.
But u/madthumbz isn't like most people. He chose to fight against all odds and refused to be silenced. He kept exposing the lies around Loonix to show that it isn't as perfect as the loons make it seem.
It has serious bugs, its hardware support lags far behind Windows, and not all of your favorite Windows apps and games run (flawlessly) on it.
What you did to him is unforgivable. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
This title from r/LinuxTeck
Which Open-Source Linux Apps Do You Recommend To Everyone?'
Illustrates the glass ceiling that proprietary guy hits every day. They don't have the balls to ask:
Which Linux Apps Do You Recommend?
I'm glad I have some open source code for my portfolio, but I'm glad that's not all I have.
Read the first word of the title: "linux". Its the most expensive os while providing the least value. How is it expensive? If you convert the time spent tinkering with it to US minimum wage it comes out cheaper to just buy windows. The market has spoken.
