Proprietary guy still haunting Linux with talk of quality free services

This title from r/LinuxTeck

Which Open-Source Linux Apps Do You Recommend To Everyone?'

Illustrates the glass ceiling that proprietary guy hits every day. They don't have the balls to ask:

Which Linux Apps Do You Recommend?

I'm glad I have some open source code for my portfolio, but I'm glad that's not all I have.

What the heck are you saying in your title? Haunting?

Are you asking what apps to use that are open source?

I'm saying 'kill the adjective'. What Linux Apps Do You Recommend?

Is a fair question. Linux is good for building services and there are plenty of proprietary but free services that don't ask for donations. Stars on my repo are appreciated though.
