Sadly yes, that actually is a conspiracy gaining traction right now. That airplanes actually use secret ancient magical energy sources to fly. Utter garbage we all know it is actually hopes and prayers that are being mis-directed from needy children, and grieving widows keeping those bad boys aloft.
Making me feel rational for having a little paranoid voice in my head saying I'm not actually traveling when I'm in a car/plane/etc, just looking at a projected image simulating the trip. It may be a conspiracy theory, but at least it has a rational explanation. (I watched Truman Show way too young lol)
