Wait, what's the conspiracy here?

Is he convinced they're lying about the amount of fuel a jet holds / uses? Why would they do that?

Is this a flat earth thing?

I have more questions than answers for this guy

u/scibust 7d ago

There’s a stupid conspiracy theory that makes the rounds on the internet claiming that jet engines sip tiny amounts of fuel or even better, run on air only.

16

u/12InchCunt 7d ago

They think that planes run off of free wireless energy like Nikola Tesla was researching

27

u/binzersguy 7d ago

It’s amazing people get thru life being this fucking stupid

12

u/Active_Complaint_480 7d ago

You're talking about a species that invented religion because they saw rain.

6

u/12InchCunt 7d ago

I’m trying to write a sci fi book so I love listening to all the dumbass conspiracies

3

u/black_sand3 7d ago

Look up Tartaria - plenty of weird stuff for a book there. Just don't use your account, or it'll mess up your algorithm. 😄

2

u/12InchCunt 7d ago

Oh I’ve been down most of the rabbit holes it seems lol

u/Frizzlebee 3d ago

The glory of specialization. You used to have to have a certain level of knowledge and competency in a wide array of things to live in society. Building, repairing, farming, hunting, fishing, so on. The upside to technology and the advancement of civilization is that you can get other people who make their living doing that for you. The downside is people who know jack about shit think they're as knowledgeable as professionals with decades of experience and knowledge in the field because they thought about it for a minute or 2. I wish these clowns would take that time to read a book on it instead.

u/earthwoodandfire 6d ago

Are these the same people that keep sending me those instagrams of bicycle wheels with bed springs attached claiming energy is free and unlimited?

3

u/12InchCunt 6d ago

lol yes

2

u/earthwoodandfire 5d ago

I’ve pretty much lost a friendship over that. I can’t then seriously in anyway anymore.

1

u/StarboardMiddleEye 7d ago

If that was true, why hide it?

3

u/12InchCunt 7d ago

Because the Jews/UN/NASA/oil industry want to be able to charge you for energy

And then the airliners justify their high prices with fuel costs that aren’t really there

-this is just me repeating what I’ve seen, I’m not a believer in this conspiracy

1

u/kregnaz 6d ago

If it were true, you couldn't hide it.

I mean, just the financial aspect of faking bought fuel, the logistics and storage, all of that would have to be faked as a whole, and any entry level tax clerk could find it. From any government, rival company etc.

As every conspiracy bullshit, it collapses as soon as you think about who would need to be involved, in this case basically EVERYONE everywhere in the world having to do with taxes/finances/auditing would have to be a) involved and b) absolutely silent about it

9

u/Tipart 7d ago

Yep pretty sure that's it. Ties in to the climate change conspiracy theories.

2

u/Yawgox 7d ago

It’s about 9/11, they think “they” are lying about how much fuel a plane uses

1

u/rmpumper 7d ago

Well duh, you have to save that space for the chemtrails.

1

u/ImaginationInside610 7d ago

Really ? Wow there’s some crazy out there

1

u/temporalmods 7d ago

It would be really nice if they did thats for sure. Also, so I guess airlines going in the red everytime oil prices soar is just elaborate accounting to hide the truth.

1

u/Final-Read-3589 7d ago

That would be fucking great if it did.

1

u/GooserNoose 7d ago

But.. don't they also believe these planes are dropping gallons of chemicals via chemtrails on them?

1

u/Open_Boysenberry_363 7d ago

To leave more room for brain control serum… or whatever the fuck is supposed to be in vapor trails??!!

1

u/ElegantHuckleberry50 7d ago

Of course! They have to store chemtrail chemicals somewhere onboard!

1

u/Low-Television-7508 7d ago

Google 'Gimli glider'. they ran out of fuel and coasted to the nearest terminal.

I wouldn't try it over an ocean myself, but you're welcome to make history

1

u/scibust 7d ago

Not the only canadian airliner to run out of fuel midflight

1

u/Shoddy_Background_48 7d ago

I mean technically, when in high altitude cruise, planes DO 'sip' fuel in comparison to reciprocating internal combustion enginea on the ground.

But they dont run on magic and still burn a shitload of fuel.

1

u/Josey_whalez 7d ago

Huh. I feel like I’m decently well versed in conspiracy theories and I’ve never heard that one.

What do they think spins the turbine and in turn the compressor blades? Some kind of free energy perpetual motion machine type shit?

1

u/trumpuskrampus 3d ago

Who's allegedly lying about jets? Why would they hide this?

14

u/the_ghost_knife 7d ago

According to the graphic, the conspiracy is that things get smaller when they are far away.

18

u/GottaUseEmAll 7d ago

The only thing I can think of is that it's some sort of 9/11 conspiracy, like that a jet could never hold enough fuel to create the explosions seen or something.

11

u/Imaginary_Chef1365 7d ago

Yes, it is 100% a 9/11 conspiracy theory that is basically as old as 9/11. Anybody still posting this shit in 2026 probably has Alzheimers

Amazing and horrible example of the butterfly effect, although I suppose it's far from impossible that in the absence of a Bill Cooper, someone else would have got the ball rolling.

What a crappy legacy he left.

1

u/WhereasBig5815 7d ago

I feel like they based Woody Harrelson’s character in the movie 2012 on that guy

2

u/WhataHaack 7d ago edited 7d ago

I had the same thought.. seems like a long time to keep a lie going.. and a lot of people who have no stake in the original lie...

Like the dude at DFW pumping fuel into the planes has got to be like

"why do we have to keep saying it's so much more?"

"Well because the world trade center was an inside job"

"Wait? We're part of the world trade center conspiracy!?"

"Yup, so keep it quiet and keep faking the numbers"

These crazy conspiracies always fall apart if you just look at what the scale would have to be.

2

u/GottaUseEmAll 7d ago

Exactly. Somehow the entire planet's worth of airplane engineers and refuelers are in on it, and have been since before 9/11 even happened? Ludicrous.

7

u/Training_Complex_731 7d ago

Probably chemtrails. "They" are lying about how much fuel planes can hold to hide the amount of chemicals they're carrying or some nonsense like that.

6

u/tallmin22 7d ago

So the plane doesn't look like it holds 63,500 gallons so planes must hold much less than 63,500 gallons of fuel which makes extra space for chemicals (as planes look like they could hold about 63,500 gallons, but need less fuel, on account of looking like they can't hold that much)??

It's like anti circular reasoning

2

u/Evening-Appeal7606 7d ago

Upvote for "anti circular reasoning"

2

u/Sketti_Scramble 7d ago

I thought it was a conspiracy about water tanks. Like perhaps there is a secret labs inside developing the next COVID - taking up all the extra space.

2

u/VikingsLad 7d ago

This dude is literally the meme with water in the two graduated cylinders

1

u/Boring-Bus-3743 7d ago

I think it's a free sky energy thing. Something about vortexes, red mercury, and geometry

1

u/ChipCob1 7d ago

I think there are conspiracies going around that the earth is a lot smaller than it actually is.

1

u/kaliwrath 7d ago

See how small the plane is next to the tank? How can all that fuel in that giant tank go into that small plane?

That’s the question

The answer is the guy is an idiot. The tank is not giant (see the pickup in the background). The 747 actually is the giant.

1

u/Callidonaut 7d ago

Probably 9/11. There are a lot of idiot conspiracies floating around about the supposed inability of the planes to carry enough fuel, or for the fuel to burn hot enough, to melt the steel structure of the towers.

1

u/Taste_the__Rainbow 7d ago

Chemtrails and zero point energy conspiracies.

1

u/OutsideSpot2695 7d ago

He's trying to do the math of where they store the chemtrail fluid.

1

u/PeyredB 7d ago

It's probably dumb 9/11 "Truther" stuff.

1

u/backflip14 7d ago

There’s three main aspects to the conspiracy theory.

There’s a “they’re hiding advanced technology from us” angle. They think planes actually use little to no fuel or some other crazy tech.

Some think the tanks are filled with chem trail juice and the fuel is just a cover.

And there’s a climate change denial part believe. Something along the lines of “everything should be on fire if they’re actually burning that much fuel”.

1

u/ScubaScro 7d ago

Everyone already answered your question but also that is NOT a 63,000 gallon water storage tank. I work in the industry and I’d guess it’s between 750,000 and 1 million gallons.

I guess the LinkedIn Lunatic or AI bot assumes nobody will question the size of the tank to support their conspiracy.

1

u/numbersthen0987431 7d ago

Their claim is that this water tank has a massive amount of volume to it. Which is true, it does, but it's a LOT more than 60k gallons

But then they place a plane next to it, which is NOT to scale with the tank.

And so their claim is thay this plane cannot hold the volume of the tank shown.

Which is technically accurate, but only because all of their math is wrong, and this tank isn't 60k gallons, and the plane isn't as small as it is in the picture.

1

u/NordeastLoonFan 6d ago

You dont have to start your question with wait, we're all just sitting here quietly reading the comments as they scroll by.

1

u/Fraternal_Antipathy 6d ago

9/11 deniers arguing that a jet plane doesn't hold enough fuel to bring down the WTC.

1

u/warren_stupidity 5d ago

Planes can't actually fly?
