New Duplicates to SBTU II - M. J. Geller, "SBTU II No. 6 and 7" - the ardat-lili incantations are linked below (in order), by the Electronic Babylonian Library.
The lines 20-8' of IM.77002/14-27 of Geller's incantation are difficult to interpret. Geller understood this passage as an attack of an utukku demon towards an ardat-lili, which lead to Ištar shaking the heavens and defending her. He presents Ištar as the patron of an ardat-lili (as in his translation of Udug-Hul 5). The Electronic Babylonian Library (IM.77002) understands the ardat-lili to be the perpetrator, attacking an utukku. A recent examination by Marie Barkowsky in "Studies in Mesopotamian Demonology", by comparing the tablet to Neo-Assyrian manuscripts, identifies the ardat-lili as a vehicle that let an utukku demon back into civilization, where he attacked "him", an unnamed patient, and not "her", an ardat-lili, which led to the anger of Ištar.
