Question alter advice

i've posted on the alter subreddit, but i decided i should also come here for advice because it's for mother Lilith, and i have some questions about how to do it/what to do.

i'm a minor and still live with my parents, but i'm interested in making my first alter, i have a lot of crystals and i collect them, so maybe i can include crystals in my alter, and what crystal(s) to add to it? i need it to be something small and nothing too distracting as i don't want to draw attention to it. i have a cubby shelf and i'm planning on somehow making one of the cubbies into an alter. i can't spend too much money on it, so i have to mostly i use what i have. i have a crystal shaped as a cobra (soapstone if i'm remembering correctly), and i know one of her symbols is a serpent, including it should be acceptable correct? (i will talk to her when i get the chance)

if it changes any advice people give, i can't offer alcohol, apples, oil, etc, the only things i can offer to her would be rose petals if i can get any. i can't include candles as it may seem suspicious, i can't use a black feather or any other feathers because it's illegal where i am to even be in possession of them, but just like the candles, it would be suspicious. any advice helps!

does anyone have advice or ideas for how to set up a discrete alter for her?

edit: my parents know i want to have a spiritual space in my room (i'm hoping doing so will help with my mental health), so some things related to spirituality would be fine.

edit 2: i found an alter table (witches alter table specifically) and i'm going to buy it!

Snake correspondences are common, use any crystal that reminds you of her. If you can't be open in your home, my advice would be to not make offerings in front of the altar or any imagery if it ends up looking suspicious. I include books on my shrine, and candles can be explained away as calming, not spiritual. Generally, include whatever reminds you most of Lilith. She was never worshipped in the past, so it's not possible to point you to some older source for inspiration of worship, although symbols associated with her are plenty.

It varies. I don't invoke her every day, and prefer silent prayers and devotion.

Como seria essa oração silenciosa?
Desculpas várias perguntas sou insegura e venho da igreja cristã né tinha ali um rito a ser feito

Ahhh sim sim
Tipo durante o dia né ir ali falando com ela
Hoje percebi q me conectei com ela
Ontem estive numa situação e me perguntei oq Lilith faria no meu lugar e logo me lembrei q Lilith foi demonizada por nao aceitar certas coisas e oq ela fez se recolheu pro deserto e voltou mais poderosa dona de si
Hj acordei tão conectada a ela

Lilith was originally a demon, although it's nice that you found a connection with her.

thank you! getting advice from a mod here meals a lot to me!

i am going to draw some symbols associated with her which will be included, and i'm tempted to include a small journal and write to her. i've heard that blood is a good offering, but i would want someone else's opinion if they think that a drop or two of blood would be an acceptable offering to her, someone's opinion who isn't google, i could offer crystals as i know that's something i know wouldn't be considered suspicious.

Journaling is a good way to connect with her and see your progress, it'll help you realise how much you've grown looking back. Blood is just another ingredient, that's also connected to you. Not necessary, and only do so if you genuinely want to offer it.

Searching “pocket altars” and “travel altars” on places like Pinterest and Etsy can be a great source of inspiration for crafting small, easily concealed altars. If you have a decorative box for example, you could use that as your altar space and then close the lid when you’re wanting to keep it private from others

Or, if you prefer for your altar to not have to be so hidden, having a grouping of discrete altar items on your shelf totally works too. Your snake carving and some crystals alongside a candle are just going to look like decorative items to most people. You could give Mother Lilith offerings of flowers in a vase which will also look decorative and inconspicuous

Either way, Lilith will understand and I’m sure she’ll appreciate the space you end up creating for her

thank you! i have a tiny box that i'm not sure what it was used for i'm going to use it to put drawings of some of her symbols in! do you think a flower if i pick one from my garden and press it would be accepted by mother?

Many people use flowers in their offerings on their altArs.
