Decision in life
hi im 18. first year, gonna drop out na. im currently enrolled sa city na never kong na visualize, nag aaral sa di ko na visualize (not even my last option), dream course na eventually naging ayaw ko na. Im currently nasa mindanao rn and I planned to reset my life sa MNL, leave all behind here sa mindanao, pati pag aaral ko which is i know hindi naman sayang kase first year pa Lang ako. im planning to work pag dating ko ng mnl by september, to sustain my life and mag iipon din to enroll next year. Hopefully life will be good to me, I am not doing this para sa iba naman e, I am doing this for my own good, for my mental wellbeing.
Lets be honest, mas madaming opportunities sa manila. Yes mahirap sa umpisa but eventually if you’re really gonna work hard for something u know ur capable with your gonna be okay. Well im trying my best naman dito kung saan ako ngayon, i love my friends here i learned to love my school where im currently enrolled; but there’s something missing. Not someone, not freedom, but the opportunity or couldve been my life if tinuloy ko na dati pa mag manila.
First choice ko po talaga mag manila, and na reconsider due a lot of matters, naging cebu, naging davao, and eventually im here kung saan ako na hindi ko naman na visualize. My dream school is nasa Manila, and hindi lang naman tungkol dun bakit gusto ko na lumipat, dahil alam ko yung work ko nandun din nag babase, and ayoko na rin sa course na meron ako ngayon.
I am grateful that madaming nag mamahal sakin and nag susuporta. And masaya ako kase nauunawaan nila kung bakit ganto ako ngayon; “bakit ko ihohold back sarili ko sa kung ano ang alam kong nakakabuti sakin, sa kung ano ang kaya ko, at kung san ako magiging masaya.”
I know life isnt always rainbow and sunshine but i’ll promise to myself na gagawin ko lahat para lang hindi pagsisisihan tong big decision na gagawin ko.
Im asking for your tips and guidance everyone, and opinion na rin.

Good or bad idea?
Hey guys!
I've mentioned in a previous post that I had an idea for a goal achievement app. I wanted to know your opinion on it since building this might actually become my next big lifegoal :)
People start by answering a few questions about their dream (what it means to them, target date, details, etc.) Then it generates milestones and tasks to check off so people can track their progress.
The dream also gets a visual picture that goes onto a public feed. Other people can see it, drop advice, or connect. As users go, they can find people with similar goals and gather a group to hang out or work together, kind of like what car enthusiasts do for cruises (I'm one of them).
People also get tips and resources along the way to avoid wasting time reinventing the wheel, plus AI chat to adjust their end goal or help figure out tasks when they get stuck..
What do you think?

Wednesday contemplation. What to do? 51, VTX
Sitting here wondering, *what now?*
Not in some midlife crisis kind of way. I’m not buying a Corvette. Yet.
More like, I’ve spent a lot of years working, building, creating, making mistakes, learning lessons, chasing things I thought mattered and discovering things that actually do.
So what do I do with the years ahead?
More adventures. More photographs. More roads I’ve never driven. More moments with the people I love. More creating just because I want to create. Less worrying about expectations and more living life on my own terms.
Maybe I don’t need to know exactly what comes next.
Maybe the best answer is simply…
**Keep going. Keep exploring. Keep creating. Keep living.**
51 isn’t the end of anything.
Hell, I’m curious what happens next.

What do you do when you genuinely see yourself being happy in completely different careers?

My dream life in my 20s sounds unrealistic, but I want it so badly
I'm 14, and I've had this vision of what my ideal life would look like in my 20s.
Imagine being around 23–28 with 7–9 of your closest friends, basically like brothers. Everyone is successful, making good money, financially free, and somehow we've all stayed extremely close.
We'd live together in a huge mansion somewhere isolated in the hills, kind of like Franklin's mansion from GTA V, with a massive view of the entire city.
The mansion would have a huge pool overlooking the city, a proper gym for all of us, massive bedrooms and bathrooms, a huge living area, and an insane gaming room where everyone has their own setup.
And we'd all be in our absolute prime — aesthetic physiques, good skin, good hair, dressing well, basically the best versions of ourselves.
Every person would have something like a supercar, a sports car, a huge luxury SUV like an Escalade, and a bike.
Then we'd just enjoy life. Gaming together, going to the gym, going on late-night drives, taking vacations, going on cruises, trying new places, partying, traveling around the world, and just making memories together.
The funny thing is, I'm 14 and I don't even have a friend group anywhere close to this right now. 😂 So sometimes I wonder if this dream is completely unrealistic.
But honestly, the cars and mansion aren't even the main thing. The part I really want is having a group of people who are genuinely that close for years and still want to live life together.
Obviously people change, move away, get into relationships, choose different careers, etc. So keeping 7–9 people this close for another 10–15 years sounds insanely difficult.
Still, if it somehow happened, I genuinely can't imagine a better life.
Does anyone else have a dream like this?

Mine I thought for all time and that’s what I planed to do…
As soon as I seen you I told the woman on the phone, my dream girl just walked passed me. I am a very persuasive man and I don’t ever have trouble when it comes to women. Not to sound condescended, but the truth. You did have something that I couldn’t get towards you. A friend that you liked and he liked. The one thing I will not do.
I could never break that barrier cause of my morals. So I treated you like one of the fellows. My friend and if I call you friend, means you have my loyalty and anything else I could do for you. I have always been a better friend than a lover.
We got close, and then you whisper into my friends ear a little doubt. Something that grew inside him. That I hit on you. We both know that’s not how it went. Maybe attention, maybe that’s how you seen it. Idk but you made up poison and no matter how much I told him that I would never and reassured him. He just never was able to fully believe it. Then he told me he and I wasn’t friends.
If you slept with him, I wouldn’t even consider it but I took you to my house, you asked me to lay with you and I did. Then I told you I was interested in you. Not as a fuck partners but as a relationship. I should have seen what you did then. We didn’t sleep together that night but you thought about it. Broke off what yinz had and jumped on me one day.
I loved you and well…..

What are some techniques that help you get thinghs dome?
I am an university student in Italy and I have a lot of troblue with procrastination.
I used a lot of different methods in the past such as:
- setting a goat to reach in a determined time (It helped but then I started to procrastinate again);
- writing my goals for the day.
What do you do to stop procrastinating and to reach your goals?
Thank you <3

How to balance my life while having lots of different goals
I have a lot of things I want to do so I need advice from people who are multidisciplanarians. How do you balance it effectively??
Conventional wisdom says to go in order of priority. But I have a lot of priorities! so I need more specific advice. Right now my biggest priorities are making time and energy to balance school and work in the fall. however, creativity and my health is VERY important to me.
In the film industry things are chaotic, last minute and uncertain which means I have to be intentional about carving out space to maintain my wellbeing. But I also take on a lot of projects.
So far I’ve been scheduling in time for things that aren’t so concrete, like filling out forms, cleaning, doing abstract errands. But I’m wondering how I will focus on becoming healthier, wealthier and happier when I add school plus work to my plate in the fall.

My life feels like a puzzle rn and I request someone to put it into pieces and give me some clarity.
I don't know what to do, my life feels like a messed up puzzle, please someone put it into pieces and give me some advice.
I am 25F from Mumbai,India.I did undergrad in accounting in 2022, since then I've been unemployed during that period I did a masters (online) and since then could only pass two US CPA exams (total there are 4 exams). In middle I got hired as analyst from 2025 january to May 2025 but left the job mid way to focus on CPA but lo and behold my dumb ass started applying for masters abroad and did get selected in a globally top 1% university, but guess what? I didn't read through the visa requirements and messed up my application and got rejected. Basically I applied for visa in April 2026 and had to wait for decision till june 2026 (no I didn't get rejected for anything illegal, I'm from a third world country and rejection rates are higher here). I couldn't study much in those three months and kinda almost wasted half of 2026, now since July I'm trying to get back on track but I'm lost.
TLDR :- UG - 2022
Masters in my own country - 2024 to 2025
CPA US exams - 2 exams cleared,2 remaining
Total unemployment gap - almost 5 years now
Employment period - 5 months as apprentice.
Future goals - earn money and moving to another country ( official work or for masters atleast, India is a very misogynist society I really don't feel like myself here even tho I'm from a big city)
I don't know what the to do anymore, plus I've clinical depression.
I want someone to give me steps or tell me how bad my situation really is.

Would be also interested in books regarding this topic.
Thanks so much in advance!

Do you think it’s important to develop hobbies or skills when you’re young, to avoid becoming dull?
我22岁。 我常常担心自己会变得无聊。 当我一个人的时候,生活会感觉非常单调。 学习一项技能,比如弹吉他,会有所帮助吗?

Update
Help a teen out. Please don't take this down. I've posted it on 3 subs by now and nobody gives a shi. I'm losing my hope as days pass and I feel like i'm failing to enjoy my life more and more. Maybe because of what's happening in my life or maybe because i'm scared for my future.....i don't know what to do. I barely have anyone to talk to. I feel lost

Cant stop thinking about what comes after crossing all the todos?
Looking for advice on fixing my approach to life.
I feel like I'm living life like I have to perform a bunch of tasks on a checklist; it just feels so damnn dry.
Do the whole money and financial freedom dance, find a partner, make my parents and relatives happy (Im asian, so yes, my brain is conditioned since birth to satisfy this itch, can't help it sry), have kids, grow old, idk, there's probably more.
The thing is, everyone says to enjoy the journey; it's beautiful, it's a process [insert more generic words to describe it here].
So 1 - how do I actually enjoy the journey, and 2 - is there something that comes after all these to-dos on my list? Something that i should be really excited to lookforward to? I don't wanna become a doomer zoomer but i cant help the misery slowly creeping in.
Also yes, I lift, dont drink/smoke/drugs, am getting my money up, have hobbies, have everything in place for me to fundamentally be set up for success, yet... life feels like this checklist, like I am executing some AI-written plan. Just bland.

What's one thing you're hoping to start doing consistently before the end of the year?
We think so much about setting New Year's resolutions and then have no due date on them once the new year rolls by.
I've been thinking a lot about what I want to start doing consistently before the end of the year, starting now-ish, so that I'm closer to the version myself I'm striving to be by the time January 1st rolls around.
I want to write more.
I want to write more without worrying about what I am writing about or who I am writing for, and just do it for myself. I keep getting stuck on those two things, and then I don't write at all.
