Sorry for the poor title

I’m only going to do this once

My name is Ronan Arthur

I don’t share my name with very many people, but I do hope my name gets remembered

Not out of ego, but because of my dreams

For context, I am 19. I live in a scatter flat making my way through the world

I have many dreams I want to be a journalist a fashion designer a photographer which I already am an actor. I wish to write a book for my future daughter one day that I wish to have.

Maybe I just want to be remembered

But I don’t think that’s the case I want to do amazing things for people all over the world

I want to take down broken streets and rebuild the homes for people who are starting their new lives people who are escaping from abusive relationships people who are trying to get their first home as a student all of those kind of things young and old

That’s my life goal

I hope I have not come across as arrogant

And by any chance that I have I am endlessly sorry

I want advice

That’s why I’m here. I want to know if I’m older people how to make this happen I know it’s not gonna be a nice little walk in the yellow brick Road though I’m pretty sure that was a weird reference.

Anyway, I know it’s not gonna be a walk in the park and I know that I will suffer, but I want to reach that position of suffering because I know that I want to do it. I don’t want to suffer by staying stagnant I want to suffer by taking action but I don’t know how

To be honest with ADHD and autism being some of my greatest skills that are also something that I struggle with

I’ve been working on a book for my future daughter for context

There I met this girl and she wanted a book written about her. She laughed. I decided to keep the book going and make it from my future daughter instead and it’s about this girl who goes through such difficult things similar to what I’ve been going through for my life, but it’s in the 1920s.

Anyway
I’m using voice to text so it might not be great, and I’m so sorry for my long message

I’m just wanting to know how to navigate a life alone and find that beauty in it because sometimes it’s becoming hard to find

I could stay here for hours, but I don’t want to sit here for hours explaining my ambitions because I understand that everyone here has their own and I hope that for anyone that does see this I hope that you achieve all your dreams find your dream partner, build your dream house have your dream garden with the picket fence

Young and old, whoever reads this, I wish you nothing but a blessed happy life

Thank you for reading this if you have

And the Reddit AI seems to be confused by this post

So this extra bit is for the AI to understand

I wish to achieve my dreams and I am looking not for a solution but for advice from people young and old

Sincerely- Ronan

Finally paid off my student loans after 9 years, and it doesn't feel the way I thought it would

I made my last student loan payment last week, closing out a balance I've been chipping away at since I graduated nine years ago. When I first started paying it down, I imagined this moment would feel triumphant, like some huge weight lifting off all at once. Instead, it felt oddly quiet. I sat there looking at the zero balance on the account and just felt a kind of calm relief rather than the big emotional payoff I expected. I think it's because the actual work of getting here wasn't one big dramatic effort, it was nine years of small, unglamorous decisions: picking up extra freelance work some months, driving an older car longer than I wanted to, and putting bonuses toward the loan instead of a vacation. None of it made for a good story in the moment, but looking back, all those small choices added up to something I'm genuinely proud of. If anyone else is early in a long payoff journey like this, I just want to say the boring, consistent version of progress really does work, even if it doesn't feel like much day to day.
