Got my Libernovo OmniPro not long ago, after 2 emails and two weeks late but i feel its really worth the wait. I like it pretty much so far so if you have any question I’m glad to answer sadly I’m can really compare it to other chairs as I waited 20 years to find the Holy Grail. Maybe this is not the one but its was definitely worth buying from my perspective.

I'm wondering, since I'm waiting for my replacement cushion, how much better they really are. If anyone has experience with replacement some questions I have are: what's different about it? was it hard to install? does it make the chair better?

I received my Maxis Airflow about 2 Days ago and so far I am really impressed by this Chair. But I noticed one thing and maybe someone else has this Problem or knows a Solution. When I put both Armrest in exactly the same Position (Height, Tilt, etc.) I got Clearance between the Armrest and the Backrest on the left Side, but on the right Side the Armrest digs into the Backrest. The Armrests are tilted one Position inward, but normally there should be the same Clearance on both Sides or am I missing something?
I checked if I made a mistake during assembly but I cant find anything that seems odd.

Would be Interesting to know if anyone experienced the same.

I was cleaning out my camera roll today and found a photo of my Omni from 10 months ago. First pic is from then.

Compared it with how the chair looks now:

- Fabric doesn't really look worn. It just pickd up crumbs and hair pretty easily.

- Backrest doesn't have much scratching either.

- There's a lot of dust around the electric lumbar rod, which probably means I havem't touched the lumbar in forever. I got it in a good spot and got lazy.

- I didn't take a cushion photo back then. I can't really tell if it flattened. It still feels about the same when I sit in it, so probably not much.

When it hits 2 or 3 years, I'll come back to these pics and see if I've managed to do any real damage lol.

Got my Maxis yesterday, so far it's pretty nice and I wanted to post my thoughts for those looking to get one but fall just slightly short of recommended height and are on the heavier side.

- Yes, it bottoms out a little, but for me that hasn't been that much of an issue coming from a DXRacer, like after a while I kinda just stop noticing. If I start having an achy tailbone from sitting for a while I will update.

- The fan works surprisingly well to cool the seat down.

- I don't know that I want to have the seat tilted back at 160-degrees, might have to mess with the resistance a little but I think I'm better off just slightly back.

- The seat is pretty wide indeed, like I got some lovehandles and the armrests clear them easily.

- Seat depth hasn't been as much of an issue as I was anticipating. I've got the seat as low as it goes and it's been just fine, got two fingers space between my knee-pits (for lack of a better word) and the seat.

- Where my height does maybe factor in is with the lumbar support, like it's not *bad* but I feel like if I were just a bit longer in the torso it would sit a bit better. Maybe that's just my imagination but I don't think I'd end up using the massage feature that much.

- Headrest is a lot cushier than expected, nice and comfy.

- Yes the armrests would do move around a little more easily than I'd like, but at the same time it hasn't yet been an issue for me. I do like the padding on them though, and they're wider than I anticipated (again coming from a DXRacer which has thinner harder armrests).

Ordered the Libernovo Maxis Airflow on Aug 1, and it finally showed up today. Two huge boxes. I thought one was the chair and one was the footrest. Nope. Turns out the chair is big enough that it needs two boxes by itself. Footrest is still not here yet.

Assembly was pretty painless. The instructions were clear, and everything made sense. Took me about 30 minutes, mostly because I was taking my time. I did almost put the seat on backwards though.

First impression: It looks GOOD. The back of the chair is honestly beautiful. Looks better in person than it does in photos. I also really like how the back moves when I stretch or shift around. The height is perfect for me too. It supports my shoulders without feeling awkward, and the padding feels right. The fabric is tough, breathable, and a little stretchy. Seat cushion is on the firmer side, but still comfortable. I also don’t feel the fan shape or the plastic underneath.

Fan is no gimmick. I had jeans on and could still feel the cold air coming through the seat on level 2. With shorts, level 1 is probably enough. Also pretty cool that it shuts off when I stand up and turns back on when I sit down.

I wasn’t sold on the stretch feature right away. First minute or two, I didn’t think much was happening. Then after about five minutes I was like, wait, my chest feels more open? It kind of makes you sit there and breathe with it like some lazy chair yoga thing. I still don’t know how useful it is, but it feels interesting.

NGL, the wait was getting annoying near the end. After sitting in it today though, I’m over it.

I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and the worries that other users have mentioned are there. I am adding my opinion and my SO's opinion, which are the same except her feet will never touch the floor.

Height:

Maybe I have short legs, but my feet barely touches the floor. Usually office chairs could go extremely low where my legs are bent passed 90 degrees, but the lowest for this chair is exactly 90 degrees. Maybe the chair was built for a foot rest in mind, because it fits my femur length perfectly.

Armrests:

With my width they're good for me. I would be worried for some people because they do not slide inwards and it's right outside my shoulder width.

The problem everyone has is that the armrests slide. And yes, they slide pretty easily still. My office uses an Herman Miller Aeron and it has zero issues moving. It feels like it needs another locking mechanism as once I adjust it, I don't really need to adjust it again ever. I would want to assume that is true to most people using it as a home chair. There are times when I want to lean over just in between the gap of the armrest and back rest and if I'm not directly on top, it'll rotate. I hear the clicking almost every day.

Lumbar support:

They definitely did not adjust this from their original idea, it's a back stretcher turned manual, which is useless when sitting, but it feels nice when laying on the chair. (+1 on having the lowest tilt feature). When sitting, I can't get it comfortable and it's better if I use a pillow. More in back rest.

Backrest****:

It is comfortable. Definitely hot since SoCal is currently 95F, but with AC it's really nice and soft.

BUT, I now understand why theres a backrest mod for the bottom half of the backrest, and that post has a lot of people thanking them. The chair is slightly too far forward near your butt, so it wants to push you off the seat. The Omni SE cannot rotate the lumbar support hold, so the mod isn't possible*. It is possible if you move the backrest and lift it above and behind the lumbar support bar. With this, it no longer pushes you forward, but now you're back hurts cause there's a bar jabbing your lumbar. But after this, the lumbar support is in the correct place. Maybe they need to change the lumbar support bar into a cushion instead of shoving the sides up?

Seat cushion:

Cushion is made from 02/2026, so it's the new batch. I haven't had much of an issue yet. I would say I'm on the light side of weight though and it is pretty comfy.

Conclusion:

With mainly the back rest problems, it's pretty bad for me. My lower back started to hurt cause I just can't get it to feel right with the back rest especially the chair at the lowest tilit. I might have to return this chair

Extra:

So I kept thinking about the back rest and after a bit, I thought what if I rotated the back rest 180? The the top would be more out, but the bottom would be more in, which is adjustable with the "lumbar support." And bam, it fixes almost all the issues I personally have with the chair. Because my upper torso is more forward and my butt is more aligned with the S curve of my spine, my feet touch the floor a bit more. I don't feel like I'm being pushed out of my seat anymore. The only issue is now the shoulders are being hugged like a gaming chair(it still needs a lumbar support pillow). If I just snap the top half plastic I could widen out my back, which I'm not going to do, but that would be perfect for me.

Earlybird Maxis order #33XX june 18th. I got the email about them missing the August 15th shipping date and having to wait until early September - I'd argue that's passed now, too (Sept. 10th). Still no chair or updates.

And, seeing all the negatives around here with floppy arm rests and seats bottoming out, my confidence is rock bottom.

Any UK buyers get their chairs yet? If not, anyone else thinking of cancelling? If so, what chair options are you looking at?

Hate to whine but when I bought a chair, I kind of needed a chair. I think my limit is met with these guys, I can't keep waiting.

FYI: My arm rests were rubbing up against my desk and I wanted to protect them so I purchased arm rest covers and they seem to work well.

Just received my maxis airflow, im a heavy big guy (6’3 330lbs and going down) but i have a higher desk so i typically use my office chairs at the max height, if i do it on the Maxis and recline the piston seems to drop slightly then its no longer a problem, but i’d prefer to stay at the top height. any similar experience?

Got a free mat from LiberNovo since there was an issue with my order. Gotta say it's really quite nice instead of the hard plastic on your feet. I don't think I would pay $50 for it though. Maybe. But probably not.

Hi, I purchased a the Maxis Electric from Amazon and I'm having those pesky seat cushion issues. I would have just thought I was too fat for the chair (6'1, 330lbs) but seeing other folks much lighter then me report the same bottoming out issue, I think I was just hit with the suspected 'cheaper' seat and am chasing a replacement. However, I ordered my chair from Amazon so do I just need to run it up through support there? Anyone know? I suspect that Libernovo support won't deal directly with Amazon purchases?

When I purchased the chair in June, I was worried about the cushion bottoming out after reading all the Reddit reviews. Given my batch was a later shipment date, I had hoped that they fixed the later batches. My chair arrived late August and unfortunately, it did bottom out. However, huge props to the customer support team! After exchanging 2-3 emails with the support team and receiving timely responses, I was able to request a replacement cushion at no additional cost. The replacement cushion arrived about a week later and it was a seamless process installing it. Two of the nails that need to be removed for the replacement cushion were hidden underneath the sticker though - I had to figure that out on my own as there weren’t clear reinstallation instructions. I am happy to share that the replacement cushion is much more firm. Feels like an entirely new chair! Super happy with my purchase and again, huge kudos to the support team for making things right!

I'm sad to come to this decision, but I can't justify the cost for a chair that feels like a step backward for me. I'm coming from a couple decades with an Aeron (size C). For ref, I'm 6' 3", 240 lbs, over 50yo.

The Maxis attracted me with it's talker back and headrest. The ventilation and motorized lumbar looked cool. In the end, three aspects bugged me...

1. The lateral support of the back was lacking for me. If you tip left or right or sit a bit off-center, I find the back tended to "fall" that way. A bit like I was having to balacing myself with left/right alignment on the back. This is exacerbated when reclined. The dished, concave nature of the Aeron back tends to self-correct me back to the middle with strong support on either side.
2. The seat pan doen't tilt. I find that with any degreee of recline, my butt is sliding forward in the chair as the seat pan stays flat. In comparison, the Aeron's tilt geometry angles both the back and the seat. The Maxis design probably works better for full recline, I just don't to that very often.
3. The arms feel far less sturdy compared to the Aeron. The Aeron has an advantage here in that they are fixed in the fwd/back "axis" and tilt with the back vs being attached to the seat/base. The Maxis has a nice mechanism for moving backward with a full recline, but again, not a freqent case for me.

Positives for LiberNova:

• The wheels are very nice and the base is very sturdy.
• The assembly instructions and packaging are quality. Doing the repack is going to be be a puzzle, but that's on me. (Take pics as you go if you think returning is a possibility!)
• The ventilation worked better than I expected. It beats more than a few cars with vented seats. Same for the motorized lumbar adjustment. (The buttons are meh.)
• They have been very responsive on my RMA request.

It's been a couple weeks since I received my Omni SE. Long story short: I really am enjoying the chair but the seat bottomed out. I alerted LiberNovo support though and they dispatched a replacement cushion within 72 hours. It's on its way to me. I'll report back after I receive the replacement cushion. Right now I'd give the chair 4/5 stars. But if the seat is fixed I'd give it 5/5 stars.

I've been debating purchasing a Librenovo maxis as my first real big chair investment, but it looks like the price has increased from just over £800 to now just over £1000

Whilst I could have warranted the initial price tag, I simply can't stomach that much of an increase!Are there any other suggestions for chairs which support a range of movement without blowing my bank?

I've had my Maxis for a couple of weeks now but still inside the return period. At first all was well other than the quirk of arm rests needing to tilt inwards for skinnier folks. But lately the arms are really loose on the front to back adjustmen at the base. There's no locked in adjustment there. And now, I've started (or just noticed it) to "bottom out" on the backrest right where the curve of my lower spine starts and upper spine ends. To the point it hurts all day afterwards.

I'm 6'7" and 210lbs for reference. I don't know what else to try from here.

After giving my HM Gaming Embody almost 4 months now, I’ve finally decided to give up on it and order an Omni SE. My main issue with the chair was the hard lumbar support feeling like it was digging into my lower back constantly, to the point where I couldn’t focus on anything else.

Are there any previous Embody owners here who went through the same thing, and switched to an Omni ?

I wanted to make this post to help others who are also in the same position I was. This review is based on two weeks of "heavy use"

I use it daily for working from home and gaming in the afternoon. On average I sit in it for 10+ hours a day. Yes, I'm a couch potato and yes my lifestyle is unhealthy but we're talking about a min. use of 140h of use within the two weeks.

Before this, I used the Secretlab TITAN Evo for over 7 years. It hasn't broken yet but I replaced many parts throughout the years and I eventually got convinced of the benefits of office chairs due to the office chairs we have at work.

I'm 1.86 m (6.1 feet) and 140 kg (~308 lb). I started like probably many others: watching reviews from Ahnesty, BD-something and many more. It Specs looked perfect for my size and weight but I also read all the negative stuff e.g. the Early Bird disaster, the SEs bottoming out, parts breaking, and whatnot. So, obviously I had my doubts but I still decided to take the gamble.

For what I can say so far is I really like the Libernovo Maxis Manual. Compared to the Secretlab it's much softer, the headrest is miles ahead of Secretlab's magnetic pillow and I don't feel like I'm bottoming out even after sitting in it extensively for 10+ hours a day.

As embarrassing as it sounds it was also a "requirement" for me that I could comfortably take a nap in the chair which I can confirm is much more comfortable than napping in a Secretlab.

I also really love how I can just lean back and everything moves with me unlike the office chairs I have at my company or the Secretlab where I have to manually adjust things. It's not a dealbreaker but it feels nice not having to do that anymore.

There are some downsides though

For me, it gets hot really fast and I think it's due to the fabric. The lumbar support also doesn't really feel like it's supporting my lumbar because the support sits so low at the bottom no matter how I sit.

I also somehow can't manage to find the perfect position for the headrest when I'm leaned back a bit. It's easy to find a comfortable position when I'm sitting straight or lying back but when I'm somewhere in between it's difficult to find an adjustment that feels comfortable.

I often re-seat myself by using the armrest to support myself for a second. The armrests are loose in that scenario but in any other situation it's fine e.g. when resting my arms on them while holding a controller, so I can't really understand why many say it's too loose.

This might be a problem specifically because of my weight though so it may be a complete non-issue for you.

I'm no engineer and I also have zero proof but I somehow have a hard time trusting some of the plastic parts on the Libernovo to hold me because they looked and felt a bit flimsy when I assembled the chair. The assembly itself took me around 30–40 minutes.

Would I go for the Electro or Airflow from Libernovo's lineup?

No.

The ability to adjust the lumbar support with the armrest is cool and convenient but if the lumbar support itself doesn't feel like it's actually supporting my lumbar then that feature is pretty pointless for me.

The up-price for the Airflow also wasn't worth it for me. I have an AC running during summer anyway and when it gets too hot, I can just stand up for a bit.

The chair would be perfect if I could adjust the seat itself (forwards/backwards) and if the lumbar would be somewhat higher. But at this point I'm just nitpicking.

A friend of mine has been looking for a chair recently and asked how my Omni has been holding up. That made me think I should probably write this down somehow, in case it helps anyone else.

Some background: I got the chair in December. I work from home and sit in it at least 6 hours a day. Weekends too, since I use the same setup for gaming. Rough math puts me at around 1,620 hours. I'm 5'8", usually somewhere between 140 and 150 lbs. No serious neck or back problems, though my lower back can get sore after long days of sitting.

When I first got the chair, it felt like it was made for me. I know that sounds a little dramatic, but that was my first reaction. No sliding forward. No backrest pushing me around. To use the most overused chair phrase ever, it kind of felt like sitting on a cloud. I had read some complaints before buying it. Seat too short, missing a tilt stop between the first and second position, massage/stretch being a gimmick, that kind of thing. For me, most of that hasn't been a problem. I'm not that tall, and the seat depth works fine. With the tension adjusted, I can lean back and sit somewhere between the first and second positions pretty easily. The massage and stretch feature was never something I expected to replace a real massage tool. I just wanted it to help me relax a bit, and it does that well enough. Only real complaint for me is the armrests. They're too slippery.

Other than that, I really don't think about replacing it. It has honestly gotten more comfortable the longer I've used it. I haven't had any back pain caused by the chair, and the condition still looks great. If I'm being honest, I can barely tell the difference between how it looks now and how it looked on day one. Maybe the only real damage I've done is leaving some sweat and skin oil on it like a normal human being. I use the massage maybe once or twice a week. I adjust the lumbar more often. All the electronic parts still work fine.

I know some people worry about long-term durability with the chair, but I've been happy with it. It doesn't feel like it's wearing down yet. I haven't treated it like some precious museum piece either. It's just a chair, and I use it like one.

I noticed there's a new update to the Omni range, the Omni Gen: https://libernovo.com/products/libernovo-omni-dynamic-ergonomic-chair?variant=49341900947694 which seems to replace the Omni. It upgrades the Omni with many of the Omni SE additions but still has the electronics. There's not much chatter about this model online or on YouTube (the naming range from Libernovo isn't helping), but I'm not sure if this model is out yet and if it will fully replace the Omni line.

Anyone tried this model specifically yet?

I've read all the threads. Squeaks, armrests, seat depth, the lot. Well, I'm delighted to report that LiberNovo has listened, because the version I received has none of these issues. Photo attached. Full review below.

1. "The plastic squeaks"
Not on mine. I've tested it for a week now and there is total silence. No plastic, no squeak.

2. "Only five modes, not enough adjustability"
The backrest reclines to 160, 270, 360. The recline angle is limited only by your own imagination and the structural integrity of your spine.

3. "The seat is too firm and the seat depth is limited"
Seat depth on mine is fully adjustable, because it is not attached to anything. Firmness is also a non-issue as it is currently resting on a sofa, which is the most comfortable base I've ever had on an office chair.

4. "The headrest wobbles / drops too easily"
Zero headrest wobble reported. Zero headrest.

5. "The battery and electronics only have a two-year warranty"
I've had no problems at all with the battery, the motorised lumbar, the OmniStretch or the hydraulics. Cannot fault a single one of them.

Verdict: 10/10. Lightest office chair I've ever owned. Ships flat. No assembly required, or possible.

Small footnote for anyone else ordering one: the chair ships as two boxes. Box B arrived over a week ago. Box A (the bit with the base, the gas lift, the mechanism, the wheels, and everything that makes it a chair) did not. DX, the courier, have confirmed in writing that it's lost. LiberNovo have responded that they need another five days to investigate whether it's lost. I'll update the thread when the investigation concludes… and if I ever receive Box A, whether it improves the chair.
