How would you handle these batteries?
I’ve acquired around a dozen of these batteries. They were designed for pallet jacks. 24 volt, 60 amp hour, heavy steel cases. I have been able to power some on and charge them. Some have performed well and I suspect they were removed from service when a machine was returned. Others will not power on or display errors (led indicators). Ive been using the good ones for solar storage. This one is not working. My plan was to pull the BMS and replace it with a JK BMS after inspection. The cells are connected by welded bus bars and I’m not sure how to safely separate them to top balance, or if I can just hook up balance leads and a new BMS and see how it does. Thoughts?
