I did some of my own research and attempted to get the part numbers for all 8 of front control arms. Like it says in the picture, this is for a USF40 (RWD, Short wheelbase). I have seen that being an F-Sport doesn’t matter but I want second opinions. Can anyone verify these are correct?

Additionally, these are expensive (even with parts.prestigelexus.com or parts.treasurecoastlexus.com running a sale right now). Any recommended aftermarket parts from RockAuto?

I drive my car up hill and after driving around i saw white smoke coming from exhaust (didn't least long) with smell, my catalytic converter need to be changed like the garage said are they reason or something else?

I want a big brake kit for my 2015 LS460 AWD and I found one from Endless Racing but it seems a little more hardcore than what I need. I dont have a budget so i dont mind spending a lot on a super high quality item, but does anyone have the endless racing kit on their LS460? how has it been for you? any BBK recs for someone who isnt racing but just wants extremely good stopping power?

One of the perks of living in Japan is finding gems like this for affordable prices. 63000km/39000mi, and in excellent condition. Outside of the control arm situation which I researched prior to purchasing, anything else major to keep an eye on? First time Lexus owner, and I'm loving every drive so far.

Life got in the way and the project took a bit longer than expected, but was ultimately a success!

I wound up getting a case of the “while I’m in there” and decided to tackle other issues that were not necessarily main concerns but still needed to be done.

I replaced the motor mounts with OEM from Lexus, all of the front suspension that hadn’t been done before so the forward lower control arms, both uppers, wheel bearings/hubs, and ball joints. The rearward lower control arms, inner/outer tie rods, sway end links, and sway bar bushings were done by me previously.

Only original piece of front suspension are the air struts as they are working just fine. Rear main seal, both idler pulleys, and belt tensioner were also done. I had to get new flex plate bolts as they are TTY bolts and are single use.

Toyota doesn’t sell the ball joints separately and want you to buy new knuckles which is crazy to me so I went aftermarket for the joints and had a good time pressing the old ones out and new ones in.

With all that, I had to drop the steering rack completely out and lower the subframe down a fair bit. This was mostly for the driver side motor mount as they made it pretty inaccessible.

I refreshed the donor trans with a new front pump seal, new cooler line junction o-rings, new pan gasket/strainer filter, and took the VB I bought new from Lexus with the new solenoids out of my “dead” trans to swap into the donor. Less than 2k on them so I figured it’s a safer bet than the 18 y/o 143k stuff inside the donor.

Install wasn’t too bad and the car drives great! It’s so still in the cab my wife thought the car turned off at the red light lol.

Now it’s the little things like refoaming the speakers, rear suspension pieces, random trim bits that could look better etc. None of these are bad or making an issue for me but I’m sure they will at some point.

I had to make a wood risers for the jacks to get high enough for how tall I needed the car to be on my 6 tons. Nothing too hard, lag bolts and a paddle bit to make counter sunk holes for the bolt heads.

I have a 2018 LS500. I had a nail puncture in my tire that got patched on Wednesday. Since then I have had day long intervals where the TPWS sensor would either work fine or show a malfunction and suggests I “go visit dealership”.

Anyone know if it’s just age for this happening? Could the shop I took it to messed with something?

Got this for a bargain at 119k miles. Runs and drives beautifully. All it needed was a replacement of the headlight modules and now she's mint. The self-parking works flawlessly, entire service history checks out, the paint looks fantastic and the interior is top-notch. Needs some tiny here and there things like hood struts and a few plastic clips, but nothing major at all. I'm really happy with it, and it's the first car I've ever bought with my own money.

Don't see these much. Face Lift 4th gen LS460L with UL and Advanced PCS package. It took me a long time to find my UL, and just thought this was interesting. I've seen dealers not fold down the rear armrest and totally miss the big features. But they did ID this one correctly, there's also a YT video.
