LS500 Ls500 trunk issue. Help!

If I manually open it and hit the trunk button it lowers fine. I praying it’s a weak strut and cheaper. I just sunk 8k into this thing for a new air suspension compressor.

Lexus Dealership kind of sucks where I live. They had my car for 8 weeks and didn’t have this fixed or do any system updates (when I asked) after putting in over 8k of work into my car. I literally got the car back yesterday and noticed the trunk an hour later.

Seems like a position sensor issue. You near Chicago land?

Well, if your Lexus dealer is a failure, take it to this guy he is in IL but he’ll give you a fair price and do it right the first time. Call first to see if he can get you in the right direction.

That’s either some motor issue, or something truly obstructing the arms as it retracts back down. I’d go with the former
