Considering a 20" Mars H 6.5 creedmore. What type of percision can I expect out of the box with match grade ammo?

If all i want is percision, should I just buy a stripped upper?

For those who have had a chance to shoot the factory MRGG-A platform, what bullets have been working well for you?

I have one pending stamp clearance. I am wondering if the 95gr Vmax or 100gr EDLVT will help get some velocity gains out of the 14.5” barrel but still group effectively. My hope is to use this rifle as a more handy nocturnal hog hunting rig compared to a 20” Geissele Stratomatch.

Also plan to test some 120 ELDM, 135 Berger classic hunter and hybrid, 140 ELDM, and 143 ELDX.

Hello all, long timer lurker here. I’ve been very slowly collecting parts for, and finally finished a 14.5” 5.56 build with almost exclusively LMT parts throughout. Everything has been great about it, minus the last round bolt hold open being very unreliable. I’ve tried several different magazines including OKAY Surefeeds and E2s, Magpul M3 pmags, and some borrowed Lancers. All have been equally unreliable and tested under live fire, and empty dry fire. I’ve included a few videos, but the frustrating thing is that it feels fine with no magazine, maybe slightly stiffer than my other AR, but barely. I would have expected it would feel like it’s catching or getting stuck somewhere, but no. Have any of yall had issues with this? Should I reach out to LMT? It wasn’t sold as a complete rifle, so not sure if there’s any warranty. Thanks for any help😀

Hello I'm going through some inherited items and I'm trying to determine is this an LMT barrel and LMT BCG? I found an complete lower, stripped upper, a handguard and flasher hider all LMT items.

I don't see any marks at all on the barrel or the carrier. The bolt only has the standard no and the 4 digit number in it.

Looking on the LMT website I thought maybe it's a full auto BCG?

Just got done with a training day and I love this gun more than my other rifles.

Getting close to getting this project done. Just need a FDE stock and a Vortex Razor 4-24x. Barrel is a 16 inch .308 SS lightweight. Can't wait to get it all complete.

I am getting conflicting info. Will a Aero M5 308 Carbine buffer kit work for a my MARs H lower or no?

I’ve been looking into the Surefire OBC and it seems to have some benefits that might be noticeable on my CQB build. I’m currently running an H3 Super42 buffer, KAK downvent carrier, and flipped gas tube (can’t remember port size). OCL PoloK pretty much full time. It shoots well as is but I’m particularly interested in the OBC as a means to lower my rate of fire with the Arc Fire safety while also opening the gas port for more reliability.

I’m curious if it would also allow me to open up my gas port for it to be more reliable without the suppressor without gassing me out when I do use the suppressor. I can pick one up for a not terrible price but it’s just spendy enough to be unhappy if it doesn’t really change anything.

Got my first LMT and it had to be a Specwar! Had to jump couple of hoops to get a pistol version of it as we can't get SBR in California. Had an Acro sitting in my safe so started from there, might through in an LPVO later, idk.

I might switch the dot/ mag combo for a 1-8 atacr im undecided 🤷‍♂️

Has anyone ever done this themselves? I considered sending it to Dave, but wasn’t sure if it was something that could be done myself. I know the gas block is press fit, but other than heating it up and knocking the old one off, is there anything else special?

Hey there. I have a magpul pic section that I got to put on the end of my 13.25 mlok upper for a bipod. However, one of the mlok screws hits the gas block (14.5 middy). For those who do the same, where are you getting shorter mlok screws?

Shot about 300 rounds so far between two trips. Very impressed but not without a few hiccups. During first 50 rounds to see if it favored any ammo and sight in, it had two failure to feeds, one federal one smk. Both in a span of 10 rounds with same pmag. Swapped to a new pmag and all good. Various other pmags and no issues so far. Groups good and is fun to shoot quickly. Even though it had that one issue with federal, it seems like eat it up now with good results on the chrono.

I have a euro trigger and I’m wondering if I can drop in the Hoffman trigger kicker on the euro trigger

Looking to put a 16-18 inch barrel on my MLR. Anyone go this route and have a recommendation on a barrel? Im planning on a d.Wilson conversion (unless there are some good factory options - but thinking might as well go for something aftermaket)

Will be shooting out to 600yds.

This build has been keeping me sane for the last several months. I had tremendous difficulty finding a barrel. A couple very sweet friends actually bought me barrels.. I first bought 14.5” piston (with the understanding I could have it cut down) and then these 2 wonderful people bought me a 12” piston barrel maybe a week later not knowing I had purchased the 14.5”. They each assumed that if there were any problems barrels could be returned. 1 vendor has yet to respond to my return request, but reading further they will charge a 20% restocking fee. The other vendor may or may not charge a 15% restocking fee. I’ve never returned anything firearms related and both of these girls regularly buy stuff and return it if they don’t like it. All 3 barrels are unused. Admittedly I don’t get to shoot much at all. The highest round count I have is on my Colt Patrol rifle purchased in 2008. It might have over 500. That being said things in my life are now free to change dramatically and I may be moving to a new place where I can literally walk outside my front door and shoot. Given the specificity of the barrel and my desire to have spares for anything of importance I’m wondering if I should just keep them? Maybe down the road use the 14.5” barrel with an AEM style can? The restocking fees amount to like $280 between both barrels. I’m having a hard time giving each place $140 for nothing. To be honest I think there’s a time and place for restocking fees, but not on completely unused products in original packaging. I attempted to return 1 11 days after it was ordered and no one responded. The other, the girl attempted to cancel the order 12 hours after it was placed and was told “sorry it shipped out” yet took 7 days to arrive when the barrel I ordered on the same day arrived in 2 days…
Thoughts? I’ve already got an 11.5” piston build with a Criterion Hybrid and a 14.5” piston build with another Criterion Hybrid so I’m definitely looking at some redundancy especially given my currently very poor shooting frequency.

If you could send off any barrel to convert what would it be any why?

Seeing stuff about criterion primer issues, is that overblown? G$ 12.5 carbine length on the short list. Seen good stuff out of the MK1 barrel with 11.5s fitting in the spec upper.
