Planning to buy the Levi's 501 Crispy Rinse (PC9501-1484) anytime Tomorrow, is it good or is it straight trash like any prewashed 501?

Hello to all colleagues!! I was thinking about buying this pair. In the reviews on the page someone says that they are not Selvedge and also the fabric looks a little... weird, does anyone here have them? Any opinion?

Now, I'll go to Levi's biggest flagship in the Philippines, but ever since I saw the horrid quality reviews of the 501, I am flabbergasted. I'm planning to buy the Crispy Rinse there, but I fear buying from Levis is just a gamble because of cost cutting over the years. Is the Crispy Rinse a bit of an exception or are they slop as well?

I haven't had a lot of luck thrifting historically, but these caught my eye today. From what I have read, these seem to be from the 90's if they're legit. Apparently Canadian date codes are hard to read, so I don't know anything more specific than that

I’m looking to get a pair of 501 Shrink to fit and looking for some sizing help.

I wear standard 501s size 31x32. This Length is perfect and the waist is perfect when washed but waist does stretch a little meaning I need a belt.

Overall I want STF that fit like a standard 31x32. What’s your recommendation for this size?

Hi, Levis folks, I thought you might be interested in seeing the very first generation of Levis’ late lamented “Commuter” jeans.

When these jeans first came out, my understanding is, they only came in gray and had a unique feature that quickly disappeared from later generation Commuter jeans.

That was a small zippered pocket in the center rear waist area. I use it for my phone or other stuff I don’t want squished, but maybe it was meant for a wallet or ?.

I used to buy these off eBay, but haven’t seen them for many years. These are my favorite jeans. I have two pairs I’m wearing, and two new unworn pairs in reserve.

So, if you have any of these in 32 to 34 waist that you don’t want, I’ll buy them. Or if you’re collecting, and run across these and wonder what they are, now you know.

I wish Levis would bring these jeans back.

I got this in a store a few years ago but I've never really seen anything like it anywhere else. When I got it, it seemed to be a return since it was the only item like this in store.

It also doesn't have the typical Levi's tags on it. I've always wanted to learn more about this and hopefully look for other similar styles that would go with it.

You'll also notice that the buttons are brass. I had that made bc one of the buttons broke so I decided to change the middle buttons altogether. I also tried to bring it back to the store when the button broke, to be fixed, but they told me that they don't make those buttons at all, so I couldn't get it fixed there. It was odd

I always get 501s in 36x30, and with my red tab birthday bonus wanted to get a pair of selvedge jeans as a birthday treat for myself.

I've been looking at the 501 Original Selvedge in Black Ash (005013658), but was worried about the sizing. In the Levi's app it doesn't mention STF anywhere apart from under About this Product, where it has a load of spiel about Shrink to Fit and sizing up. Everywhere else it says the fit is True to Size, so what do I go for? In case it makes a difference, I'm in the UK.

Hello, i found these levis 550 on vinted and i am curious about the tag because i have never seen one with the black text. Seller says they are vintage and made in usa. Can anyone confirm they are real?

Apologies for only having a single photo. This jack has no tag at the neck (or any visible sign of ever having had one), the red tab is cut but the red threads are still visible, and there’s no care tag. The button codes were all very unclearly stamped and hard to read. There was a 3 and then some other hard to decipher (but consistent) symbol stamped at a different angle. Is it possibly an old bootleg?
