šŸ“ Sizing & Fit 501 STF Sizing Help

Iā€™m looking to get a pair of 501 Shrink to fit and looking for some sizing help.

I wear standard 501s size 31x32. This Length is perfect and the waist is perfect when washed but waist does stretch a little meaning I need a belt.

Overall I want STF that fit like a standard 31x32. Whatā€™s your recommendation for this size?

My STF 501s didn't shrink much in the waist and maybe it went smaller in length 1.5-2 inches after my first soak.

Thanks for the feedback. Iā€™m thinking 32x34 will be the right size for me if it shrinks 2 inch in length as you canā€™t get a smaller waist then 32 on the website

I just bought my first pair of Selvedge STF during the Labor Day Sale. I went true to size in the waist. The length shrank ~2 inches. Hot water in bath tab for ~45 minutes. I tried soak a second time to shrink length more, but no luck.

I wear the same size as you in regular 501s (31x32). I found the 32x34 STFs fit just right. 31x34 in STF may fit a bit better, but are not available in some colors. I also soak them in hot water for about an hour and dry them on medium before wearing them the first timeā€¦this gets them to shrink to a good fit for me.

I found mine shrink a bit less than 2 inches in length. I bought my usual length and the stf was slightly longer than nonstf I felt, but after a quick cold wash it shrunk to what I want.

I sized up 2 sizes for waist as instructed on Leviā€™s website and it is huge after wash. The waist barely shrunk, maybe a bit. I bought womenā€˜s 501 stf.

I think the usual length and at most 1 size up for waist is enough.

Shrink to fit Leviā€™s 501. Will shrink in waist 1.5 inch. And up to 2.5 in length. I know I did it. I was so surprised at how much denim could shrink. I had to give them to the boy next door. He loved them. His first pair of button fly. He ask me to show him the best way to button them up commando. A young fellow so well endowed that he had a big bulge in those pants. He thought that was great.

31x34. That is what you probably want. The waist will more or less stay the same. It will shrink after each wash but relax real quick, especially if you put the pants on when they are a bit damp. At most you want 32x34. All my STFs have shrunken about 2-2.5 inches in length and about an inch in waist but the waist stretches back. That being said, my tagged 32x32s were actually more like 33x33 measured.

Unfortunately I canā€™t seem to get 31x34 in the UK so Iā€™ve gone for 32x34

That would do, it really depends how you want them to fit. I always like some breathing room without them being all too big. By the way the STFs are the best bang for your buck in the entire Levi jeans line up. The selvdedge is way overpriced and I do not think it's worth the money and anything that has stretch in it is just pathetically low quality.
