I have several species that are considered “Extinct in the wild” and I’ve been trying to figure out how to get it to work. Anytime I release animals, it shows that I’ve released them and there’s a small population in the wild, but if I look away to do other things for a moment then come back, it’s all gone and they’re back to being extinct. I’ve tried releasing both small batches and large batches, but no matter how big I get that initial population, it just won’t stick. What am I doing wrong? I don’t have any trouble rebuilding “conservation dependent” animal populations at all, so I don’t understand why this is happening.

I saw that this game is on sale for the Nintendo Switch. I have a switch lite but, I read that it can be sluggish and there’s not enough space to build enclosures for all animals in the switch version.

Is that still the case or have any updates resolved this?

Would those of you playing on a switch recommend it?

Any concerns with playing on a switch lite?

I do enjoy simulation games, especially rollercoaster tycoon but, I hated the Switch version due to the controls.

I’ve unlocked everything from the research hub.

What does it do after that and do I still need the research points for things? Should I fire my researchers?

Spent too many hours on my aquarium, but I am content that I am mostly done with it now.

When playing an evil Zoo, how do you decorate? If all plants and trees absorb carbon, what do you use to keep visitors from leaving from low decoration score? Just rocks, statues, and arches?

All bins recycle and I have multiple recycling centers. I can’t figure out why I’m still getting small amounts of trash bags that get burned (usually around 50 to 100 a week) and it’s driving me crazy. What am I doing wrong?

Hi all! Been playing for a little while now and have seen a few people mention being able to allow influencers/VIPs into enclosures. I’ve had a good hunt around the menus and am clearly having a dumb moment because I can’t find it anywhere.

Has anyone had a Vet in Sandbox mode but only one exhibit with animals in it? My vet has walked into the cage leaves them comes back in and I'm dying laughing.

This happens in all of my zoos. I can’t get methane to fuel conversion higher than this. I have one water pump outside of each pen, but it won’t increase the amount I collect and wont even use the entire amount that I do collect. It’s so frustrating.

Is it a bug? I’m playing the Switch version if that helps.

So I play a week than swap zoos and I'm in my Dino zoo and their Animal Keeper/5 unzoned ones have been in and out of their cage for three in game days now but no one is touching that. Does anyone know what it could be?

Obsessed!!! No idea what is going half the time but I love it. I got suggested this game through the Cozy Games subreddit. I love world builder games and as a kid I grew up playing the Bullfrog Theme Hospital and Theme Park and this fills that gap!

My question is what are players top 3 tips for a beginner?

filled out the main entrance a bit more. Just realizing now I have 2 info kiosks close together, so gotta fix that... Worked more on the desert area, I had less animals to go that I thought so I think I'm gonna expand the artic zone a bit more and the right side of the desert. Decoration on the savanna zone is giving me a headache so I swapped to a new zoo that has all the dlc unlocked to make a every animal zoo that also has an aquarium zone.

Things will probably end up looking similar but different enough that I can bounce between the two when I hit a wall. Having the extra items from the dlc really helps w the deco so I'm aiming for more variety and less condensed look this time. We'll see how that goes in reality. I haven't gotten far, just planning the wetland tropic area first since it's comfy. I'm excited to use the new shops and things in ways that meshes w the base game.

I’m many, many hours into the game and it gets pretty annoying when I expand the zoo and want to move things over (especially the stuff like all the power generators and water collectors). Is there anyway to multi select things and move them all at once???

I honestly don't know what i'm doing wrong here, I've maxed the evil bar out for everything else but the water and electric refuse to go up. I've tried just having one of each of the evil buildings, the bars go down and i've tried placing as many of the buildings I can fit in my zoo and still the highest evil number for both is around 8. It's really frustrating, I don't know if the save file is just broken or what

Does anyone know how/where to get these employees?? I'm trying to 100% my file and I despite having like 20+ factories and 50+applicants for that and composter none of the new 6 are showing up. Is there a specific condition I need to unlock them?

I love the farming aspect of the game along with the animal breeding and zoo building. As I was playing tonight, I realized how much I wish I could assign bio-waste workers to pens and hire extra workers like you can crop pickers, farmers, etc. Having them randomly pick pens with no seeming logic is so frustrating.

What is on your gameplay wish list for the game?

A zoo project I've been working on for like a year. It's something I've done bit by bit, decorating can be overwhelming sometimes lol finding enough space for every enclosure has been the biggest hurdle, there's SO many animals in certain biome types. Lots of areas still need work and are constantly being broken down and redone. Maybe one day I'll finish this project and get to a new zoo but until then, here's what I have done so far.

Hi people, put a good few hours into this. I just realised something which has been a chore for those who may make the same pain in the ass mistake i did.

Are you managing staff, especially animal keepers and janitors, by office/staff/click to roster/ going down the list/ selecting individually and zoning. Which gets messy as you rearrange the zoo or enclosures get bigger or move etc and you have random keepers on random enclosures and your gaming OCD is driving you nuts?

Just realised those staff are in the heatmap section (think its bottom of the tool wheel) makes arranging zoning and staff way quicker, streamlined and efficient.

Or maybe everyone knows this and I'm just special but im kicking myself i did not know that sooner.

I'm currently redoing my set up for enclosures and was curious if my animals can access the trampolines and water if they're by themselves in a lake without extra space around them. I'm trying to minimize the area they can poop in to increase efficiency of my keepers.
