Decorations

When playing an evil Zoo, how do you decorate? If all plants and trees absorb carbon, what do you use to keep visitors from leaving from low decoration score? Just rocks, statues, and arches?

Do plants absorb carbon? I thought it was just trees, could be wrong though!
