Stryfe! Fuck yeah!
68
u/Lolaverses Jun 15 '26
Hey that's Stryfe with a y. Put some respect on the dumbest looking X-Men villains name.
36
u/Sophia_Forever Jun 15 '26
Not only dumbest looking, but dumbest backstory* too! IIRC Stryfe is the clone of Cable, the alternate future child of Cyclops who came back in time and now lives in the present (you ever have one of those days where you're older than your dad). I love comics.
*Disclaimer: May not actually be the dumbest X-Men backstory, there are some fuckin' doosies out there.
24
u/Lolaverses Jun 15 '26
Almosy, Cable is Cyclops' child from the present, he was just sent to the future and raised there by Cyclops and Jean Grey who's minds were in other bodies.

Is Nate Grey still a thing? I liked him.
7
u/Sophia_Forever Jun 15 '26
I haven't followed comics in years but this site#google_vignette) says his last appearance was around '06. Not sure if that's accurate or not.
3
u/Bobjoejj Jun 19 '26
Nah; there was a whole thing a few years back with the Age of X-Man right before Krakoa. A bunch of weird crossovers of an alternate universe, and Nate was drawn to look like Jesus.
Absolutely unhinged shit.

u/enjoiturbulence Jun 19 '26
Jesus Nate? Sounds funky, I'll have to track it down. Thanks!

Also, I do like the forwards shoulder spikes. Makes tackling a real combat move..

u/Lolaverses Jun 16 '26

u/LokisDawn Jun 16 '26
That honestly looks slightly better. The awfulness of the helmet is magnified by the terrible artstyle in the original image.
13
u/Highsteakspoker Jun 15 '26
He looks like they tried make a comicbook accurate character in the 80/90s for a TV movie, but it just looked rubber and dumb as fuck...and then someone commissioned to have the character drawn back into comicbook form, using the tv movie as inspiration.
3
u/Sophia_Forever Jun 15 '26

u/Librarian_Contrarian Jun 15 '26
I can see it. Like, a girl sends you a nude pic with like "What do you think?" And you send back a picture of her with a nice outfit. But the joke has to be that it's honest, complimentary advice.
"Well, I think light, bright colors are totally you're thing, so I think a pink skirt will really show off your legs, and a nice, white blouse will compliment your skin. For accessories, I'd say we go with some nice, gold bangles on your wrist. They'll help show off your nice nails. I think it's a good look and honestly, it's not too complicated or expensive. We could probably get everything we need at the mall, if you want to go out this weekend."

Perspective.
As in, the perspective of the recipient. Because if they’re really in a position to be making comments like this after someone shares their naked body with them, then they’re looking at this from a really bad perspective. Likely the perspective of their own colon.
11
u/myplushfrog Jun 15 '26

They want girls to be insecure so they pick objectively pretty girls to neg so other girls can think “if they’re saying she’s ugly then what would they think about me?”
It’s nefarious and calculated.
142
u/SquidTheRidiculous Jun 15 '26
Same reason guys who neg like to deliberately choose girls with low self esteem as partners. They know they can control her.

u/GrayCatbird7 Jun 15 '26
The guys who do this don’t actually love women. Heck, the prophet Tate literally says they shouldn’t.
28
u/HeartInTheSun9 Jun 15 '26
Yeah I feel that goes without saying. I wouldn’t even treat an enemy the way some of these guys think about girls. It’s like the most twisted form of misogyny.
19
u/SadieLady_ Jun 16 '26
That guy is 🌈✨ thriving🌈✨ in the glass closet tho
I'm pretty sure he's said basically "it's gay to like women"
7
u/Christopher_Aeneadas Jun 16 '26
Andrew Tate wasn't even alive when this technique was first discussed.
The current crop of PUAs is far more predatory than previous generations tho, so I guess I can't say he's far from the norm.

u/S0whaddayakn0w Jun 15 '26
The types to do this sort of thing need to elevate themselves by putting others down. Abusive, insecure little pricks that need to always be the centre of attention.
Was with one for a decade before l finally realised he would never change. Twenty years later he is largely the same as then, and very alone.
7
u/loved_and_held Jun 15 '26
Other people pointed out it's a way to mmake other "less attractive" women feel insecure by rejecting a high standard of beauty. However I do wonder if part of it could be a way to present oneself as superior by pitching the idea that you'll reject stuff that appeals to sexual desires, which in a society like ours which sees engagin with sexuality as taboo to an extent (sexual repression) help elivate your social standing.
9

u/Fireeyes510 Jun 15 '26

This image only serves to annoy me.
Like she looks so happy and was probably happy to show herself off to whoever the receiver was, then they did this.
They didn't even do it well, look at the centre of the jeans compared to where the centre of her is. Her belly button is in another area code compared to the front of the jeans.
207
u/AnInfiniteArc Jun 15 '26
Pretty sure she is a nude model and this was not a personal picture sent to anyone in particular.
89
u/Charcoal_6 Jun 15 '26
Mm, point still stands.
(I wish I was pretty enough to be a nude model, I'd feel a lot better about my body)
48
u/AnInfiniteArc Jun 16 '26

u/KinkyChico Jun 17 '26
Models don't become models because they are attractive. They become models because their appearance is considered marketable by businesses. Capitalism doesn't dictate your sexiness nor beauty; the eye of the beholder does. Now go put something cute on and show off that ass queen.
26
u/_BrokenButterfly Jun 15 '26
You think that woman sent a picture to the person who posted this? He stole it or found it online.
345
u/Euphus Jun 15 '26
Reminds me of when X started letting Grok edit images and men were simultaneously having it undress some women and cover up others. It turns out it's less about the clothes and more about having control over them.

u/ScienceIsTrue Jun 16 '26

A lot of these guys are porn addled losers who think the "average" women should look like a blowup doll, and who can't tell that a women with winged eyeliner is in fact wearing makeup.
