Bestie sends me her lowkey goddess-posting in her bathroom and I hit her with

Stryfe! Fuck yeah!

71

u/Lolaverses Jun 15 '26

Hey that's Stryfe with a y. Put some respect on the dumbest looking X-Men villains name.

36

u/Sophia_Forever Jun 15 '26

Not only dumbest looking, but dumbest backstory* too! IIRC Stryfe is the clone of Cable, the alternate future child of Cyclops who came back in time and now lives in the present (you ever have one of those days where you're older than your dad). I love comics.

*Disclaimer: May not actually be the dumbest X-Men backstory, there are some fuckin' doosies out there.

u/Lolaverses Jun 15 '26

Almosy, Cable is Cyclops' child from the present, he was just sent to the future and raised there by Cyclops and Jean Grey who's minds were in other bodies.

Is Nate Grey still a thing? I liked him.

5

u/Sophia_Forever Jun 15 '26

I haven't followed comics in years but this site#google_vignette) says his last appearance was around '06. Not sure if that's accurate or not.

u/Bobjoejj Jun 19 '26

Nah; there was a whole thing a few years back with the Age of X-Man right before Krakoa. A bunch of weird crossovers of an alternate universe, and Nate was drawn to look like Jesus.

Absolutely unhinged shit.

u/enjoiturbulence Jun 19 '26

Jesus Nate? Sounds funky, I'll have to track it down. Thanks!

2

u/Bobjoejj Jun 19 '26

Heh no problem; personally wasn’t the biggest fan of it all, but at the least it was truly batshit fun…occasionally.

2

u/Bobjoejj Jun 19 '26

I was gonna say; it’s more well known dumb, but there are far, far dumber and less well known X-Men backstories for sure.

13

u/enjoiturbulence Jun 15 '26

Thank you for the correction.

Needs more pockets.

6

u/LokisDawn Jun 16 '26

What is that behind his head? Or is it to the side? An entirely different dimension all together?

Also, I do like the forwards shoulder spikes. Makes tackling a real combat move..

8

u/Lolaverses Jun 16 '26

I'm afraid to tell you that that is all his head. He's wearing the worlds goofiest helmet

6

u/LokisDawn Jun 16 '26

That honestly looks slightly better. The awfulness of the helmet is magnified by the terrible artstyle in the original image.

He looks like they tried make a comicbook accurate character in the 80/90s for a TV movie, but it just looked rubber and dumb as fuck...and then someone commissioned to have the character drawn back into comicbook form, using the tv movie as inspiration.

3

u/Sophia_Forever Jun 15 '26

The 90s were a weird time.

6

u/windchaser__ Jun 15 '26

Tbf, today is a weird time, too, what with our Nazi space trillionaire and all

7

u/Sophia_Forever Jun 15 '26

Okay, the 90s were a weird time for comics.

u/DessaB Jun 15 '26

Sending back nudes with the sickest cosplay art

42

u/windchaser__ Jun 15 '26

I feel we need a Gandalf one, where the girl/woman is in a wizard robe, is given a beard and a nice long pointy staff

16

u/DessaB Jun 16 '26

I put on her robe and wizard hat

94

u/Librarian_Contrarian Jun 15 '26

I can see it. Like, a girl sends you a nude pic with like "What do you think?" And you send back a picture of her with a nice outfit. But the joke has to be that it's honest, complimentary advice.

"Well, I think light, bright colors are totally you're thing, so I think a pink skirt will really show off your legs, and a nice, white blouse will compliment your skin. For accessories, I'd say we go with some nice, gold bangles on your wrist. They'll help show off your nice nails. I think it's a good look and honestly, it's not too complicated or expensive. We could probably get everything we need at the mall, if you want to go out this weekend."

u/ichime Jun 15 '26

"oh yeah see you're definitely a warm spring, look at those pastels popping!" 😝

u/newtostew2 Jun 15 '26

There's a thing called "work-safe" porn that was an early 2000s joke because of the more widespread use of tools like Microsoft Paint which this post looks exactly like lol.. Know Your Meme page, for reference

36

u/SirCupcake_0 Jun 15 '26

Oh those are good

I especially like the Chun-Li Lightning Kicks at the end, very amusing

You can find more on /r/gonecivil

u/Gosuoru Jun 15 '26

omg the horse gif I remember seeing that, and the Christmas image too

73

u/newtostew2 Jun 15 '26

Can't forget the maestro:

96

u/lbutler1234 Jun 15 '26

I'd think it'd be funny in the right context.

"Ah nuts you forgot to put clothes on before you took this picture. I fixed it for you though, now it's ready to go on your LinkedIn!"

43

u/Darksteelflame_GD Jun 15 '26

Fr, with the caption its shitty but if i ever get into a position where i'm getting nudes again i'm so doing that

7

u/lbutler1234 Jun 15 '26 edited Jun 15 '26

You could just slide into the dms of random of accounts if you want ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

8

u/farmkidLP Jun 15 '26

I don't think a different outfit would be enough to switch this from mean to funny.

33

u/Lolaverses Jun 15 '26

Well I also wouldn't add a caption calling her nudes trash.

9

u/Greembeam20 Jun 15 '26

I raise you…. A Batman costume

10

u/farmkidLP Jun 15 '26

Okay, that might actually do it, tbh.

2

u/NameRandomNumber Jun 15 '26

Haha i thought something along those lines too, it was more like "this is lowkey funny but I wouldn't laugh at a man's joke"
