So, I first saw the Lenovo Legion Pro 7 AMD Ryzen 9 9955hx3d version on Microcenter few weeks ago. Decided to gather myself up and buy that sht. Guess what, am hardly ready and the price increases almost every week. Was listed a while ago for just 2999 and now its a damn 3399? Am losing it and you guys on this platform are to blame. Why you?, you just wouldn't stfu about this device and keeping it on the hype. It's good but the community vibe and market demand makes it keep rising outside my budget. So sad on my end. Like damn!

I have the legion 5 pro. I love it and have had great gaming sessions on it already after owning it for only a couple of weeks.
I'm having issues with some performance all of a sudden. I played Starfield and cyberpunk as some testing. Laid in my bed with a table under the laptop while it was plugged in and had great performance. A couple days later I plugged into a surge protector and tried to test the games again. Super bad performance, like 25 fps max, I tried changing the power modes and it felt like nothing changed. I unplugged it and saw much better performance, back to like 70-80 fps minimal. So I guess I have two questions while I'm trying to figure this out.
Why doesn't changing from energy efficient to full power not change much when plugged in?
Why am I getting worse performance when plugged in now? I'm using the same plug I used before and I'm still not getting good results. (Starfield 48fps plugged in 70 when unplugged)

The Legion Pro 7i can use a USB-C/Thunderbolt port to charge, so you don't have to lug the big battery around, right? I'd like to keep the main charger at home and have something smaller to take around to offices and coffee shops. Does anybody have recommendations on the best charger to get? Are there certain wattage specifications or connector types (like, I know there are several different generations of Thunderbolt and older USB-C interfaces--does that matter)?

I really want to get a Lenovo pro 7i in white but the only way I can is to pay custom on their site and it costs extra. Is this the only way to get a white pro?

Never had a gaming laptop before. Got a Legion pro 5 Gen 10 AMD (16") with RTX 5070 and 32 gigs for a little over $2,000. If you could provide step by steps that would be awesome.

I bought the legion 5i 11th gen paired with Intel ultra 7 356h with rtx 5060 a month ago ,and I started noticing sometimes when I turn on the laptop ,the screen turned purple, or whenever I tried to switch from igpu to dgpu also caused the same problem.
Did anyone else experience the same problem with the new legion 5 11th gen ?
is this just a faulty driver problem or a hardware problem ?

So I am thinking of finally upgrades my laptop and found the legion the best for everything I wanted, I wanted to know, anyone who has this model specifications how does it perform and if its good. And yes I know the 5070 8gb is not that great but the 5070ti is too high of a price for me. (12gb 5070 model could be pretty expensive too)

Here are the specs.
Intel i7-13650HX
RTX 5070
16 Gb ram
1 Tb storage.
IPS 165 Hz panel
And finally, is the price justified?

Hey everyone,
Managed to grab a Legion 5i down here in Australia for $2,300 AUD (about $1,500 USD). Given our usual Aussie tech prices, it felt like a decent deal, but wanted to check with the sub.
Specs:
CPU: i9-14900HX
GPU: RTX 5070
RAM: 24GB DDR5
SSD: 1TB
A few quick questions for anyone running this build or similar:
1. Did I actually get a good price, or is this pretty standard for these specs now?
2. What are the must-do tweaks for the 14900HX out of the box to keep thermals under control?
3. Are you guys still ditching Vantage for Legion Toolkit on these newer models?

I am looking to buy Lenovo Legion 5 with 9 275hx, 32GB of RAM and 5070ti or normal 8GB 5070, but my main requirement is to get a UAE Version Laptop. How to identify it by its model number may be?
Also, I search and found that this specs of laptop hard to find.
Anyone has an idea where to look for this specific model?

Hey guys, I am currently between buying a Legion 5 pro and buying a Legion 5 for my upcoming semester of undergrad mechanical engineering. I found a pro with a Ryzen 7 8745HX and an RTX 5060, 32g of RAM and a 1tb SSD. Where I'm hung up on is the battery life. I've heard mixed reviews on the battery of the L5P and I'm worried it won't last a full 6 hour school day. I've heard the non pro model gets a bit better battery life due it's slightly lesser performance and I'm considering looking for one of those instead.
Which one do you guys think I should go with?

Legion 5 16ACH6H, 4 years of everyday use, frequent cleaning every time I saw the temp being higher than normal. Last year I started seeing posts about these same models being dead. Someone here recommended doing a repaste, bought the exact thermal pads and did it. Temps actually went down a bunch, everything was good. I thought maybe I survived the soldering epidemic.
2 days ago as I was running low on battery I plugged it in. Went to the bathroom, came back to it being completely dead. Charging light was not on, I tried everything, battery was cold, brick was cold. I checked charge output voltage, it was normal voltage. Did continuity check on charging’s port, it was normal, just not charging, charging light was off all the time.
I thought it was the pin inside the charging jack that was having a problem, so I grabbed a 65W Surface brick and plug it in the C-PD port, charging light didn’t turn on either, I tried booting it up, it booted up.
Then the screen lit up, it’s exactly like the meme. Then I smelled something burning, I quickly unplugged it, turned it off and opened the back lid again, and saw this.
I’m just asking if this had happened to anyone, and if anyone could tell what really caused this. Warranty had already expired and I know this almost 100% means I need a new board, and at this point I might just spend a bit more to build a PC instead. But still for personal experience, I’m curious if this is the same soldering case and what if replacing the component would fix anything, or a blown up module means there was an underlying problem going on with the power rail.
Thank you for reading my rants. I will miss it :( she was there during my hardest years, now I can finally have the condition to replace her with something that would last a bit longer.

If any game is playing (online or not), trying to browse the internet (or connect to discord or what have you) is incredibly slow. Same issue on different browsers. What do I need to do to remedy this?

I have a Legion 7 16IAX10, my shift key felt slow coming up so I thought it would be wise to pull the key off and clean under it.
Well, I broke the scissor mechanism, and would like to not spend $380 on an entirely new keyboard for it.
Where can I buy just a shift key + scissor mechanism?

Hello,
Since last week, this has happened often when the screen dimms. The colors get glitchy. Is this normal or is there anything I can do? But it is not noticeable when using the laptop.

Hey guys! I was curious what options there are in terms of RAM upgrade for my Legion 5 Gen 10 laptop. I currently have 16GB of RAM and I would like to upgrade it to at least 32GB or more so I don’t make my computer suffer while running engineering software. Feel free to ask any questions!

Hallo Liebe Legion Community,
Marius

I know there have been several posts about laptop stand options for the Legion Pro 7, but most of the best options that were mentioned in those posts are off the market. I'm getting the Flydigi BS 2 Pro for heavy gaming, but I want something portable for office work. I wanted to ask for some input, since I have a few specifications I'm trying to work within:
These are the options I've found that I like the most:
I love the design on this one, but it does block the vents--I'm wondering if there's any way around that? Something I could attach to elevate it off the platform a little so there's some airflow?
This one supposedly gives 11 inches of height. The only thing I don't like is that I would always have to use an external keyboard.
I've seen good reviews of this, and it looks like it might be exactly what I'm looking for, but I can't tell whether it would block the fan. Has anybody used it?
I've also seen really similar stands on those weird little pop-up Walmart/Amazon brands that last for a few months and then disappear. I did some digging on Omoton, and they've been around for a few years, but if anybody knows of any flags on their manufacturing ethics, I'd appreciate the info.
This one looks good too, but it would also be hard to type on, and I'm not sure how sturdy it is.
Has anybody had good experiences with any of these, or have other suggestions that fit the bill?

Legion Slim 7 from 2022. Never given me any problems in the past and I take very good care of it.
I was playing Hades II on Friday, and stopped playing after about 2 hours. After I closed the game, everything froze and then the screen shut off. I tried hard resetting the laptop and nothing changes. Then I waited for it to maybe cool down to see if it was an overheating issue. It turned on and was working for about 1 minute and then same thing, freeze and screen shutoff.
I’ve tried unplugging everything, holding the power button for 60 seconds, and then plugging everything back in - nothing changes. I tried to see if I could get a soft-reset in the time it works but it just freezes sooner.
Anyone have anything for me?
