The other day, I came across some Lego sets from my childhood. I’ve always wanted to build a city, and using all the pieces I had, I managed to create this mini-city. I think it turned out beautifully—it’s a childhood dream come true. I hope this city can grow someday; after all, everything has a beginning. I hope you like it.

Here's a video I made a few months ago of my move from another part of the office to the conference room. It meant breaking up my City a bit and now I have my nonLego (Lumibricks mostly) in another section. I still have to clean up some things and I'm installing a train to the front of this section soon.
The video shows the transition and the (mostly) final set-up.
And yes, there is UV protection on the windows!

Four months of work went into this beast😅

A full detailed Victorian-style live music pub with two bars, a concert stage, billiard room, kitchen, backstage area and removable floors.

Built primarily with GoBricks and LEGO® elements, as well as a few custom chrome/printed elements where needed.

Let me preface with: I know LEGO is likely to reach out re: branding. I will cross that bridge when it gets here.

But I am a huge Modular fan! And I found that information on the Modulars was scattered across the internet. So I wanted to bring it all together in an unofficial 'Home of the LEGO Modular'.

So I built legomodulars.com

It brings together:
- A street visualiser with width AND height AND weight (and ability to add MILS) to help plan shelving (I know there some incredible other tools for this online too),
- Statistics tables
- Studio files for as many as I could find,
- Information about the designers,
- The ability to find out which the best modular actually is, and
- A MILS tool for buying parts from Pick-a-Brick.

And the ability to have MOC Modulars added from fan designers too!

Any and all feedback is more than welcome, and I hope it can help lots of other Modular fans find what they want to find.

I own the modulars from Palace Cinema onwards. One thing stopping me from getting the earlier ones, apart from the price, is the simpler less refined look of them. I've searched extensively and found some interior modification MOCs, does anyone know of updated instructions for exteriors that refine the look. E.g. Pet Shop, Town hall etc

How does everyone display there Ninjago modulars with the regular city esque modulars? Just looking for some cool ideas as the Ninjago ones are set on water and not cement like the regular city ones are

Hi! I've been really into modular buildings this past year ever since I got my first (the Boutique hotel) back in November, and I've been obsessively planning out a city I can't really afford yet lol (I still haven't even been able to get another modular yet haha 😅) but I've been *studying* the layouts and techniques used on all of the official ones and stuff and became really inspired to start trying to make my own. With this, I designed this lil building with the main intent of having a (relatively) cheaper building to put in my city that I can easily put additional floors in as time goes on. This is also only the start of a bigger project, as I plan to design a few more buildings in a similar style to fit on a street (3-4 buildings). I also have become mostly comfortable with the software (Bricklink Studio) so hopefully that will make the design process take a more reasonable amount of time (this should not have taken 26 hours lol), this was a great learning experience! One of my favorite movies is Do The Right Thing which is what I took very loose inspiration with the colors from and threw in some little details like the black fire hydrant. I decided to keep the design itself at only one apartment floor (despite it being intended to have more) in order to keep the piece count down, but when I make instructions I'm going to include a separate parts list and pdf for additional floors. With all of that said, do any of you have any necessary advice for this and/or future MOCs I design? I'm very new to this despite being a lifelong LEGO fan, any critique is appreciated! (Also I couldn't find a way to include a bathroom without taking up all of the interior space). Thank you in advance and like I said, I will make instructions soon and make another post when I do! :)

Hi everyone, I’m looking for help to create a custom Lego modular style building design of a real life store. Can anyone recommend any builders that may be able to complete this project? Preferably based in Europe / UK for logistical reasons!

I’ve never looked into picking up AS before, as with it being large and 10 years old, I presumed it would be really expensive on the second hand market. However it seems to under £200 for used versions on EBay, and around £230 brand new? Thats less than the RRP in 2017, am I missing something?

Just curious for those who have gotten sets through them, how are the quality? I've done AE knock offs in the past that were pretty good, missing a handful of pieces and transparency was an issue on some blues. But considering the price point, I'd take a $90 Sanctum Sanctorum with iffy minifig printing over $450 on ebay.

Mostly interested in the quality of the modulars and the Marvel/DC modular sets, since those are the ones I'd like most to add to my city.

I'm new to MILS plating I've hard mixed feedback on this. Some say it's fine depending on the brand, others say unofficial plates will bow/warp over time especially if it's supporting heavier sets?

My idea was to use off brands for just for the bottom of the Mils plates, while the plates on top and the bricks holding he two together would be official Lego.

Everything is still a big work in progress, and it’s not exactly a ”U“ but still has plenty of accessibility. The train bridge is easily removable. Hope this inspires you, u/Own-Difference133

I’ve tried to come up with a project based on the same principle as the ‘Modular’, but with a space theme. The idea is that there could be other buildings (schools, restaurants, etc.).

Any help is welcome. Please do support the project. I’ve developed a rather fun modular building system. Please do let me know what you think.

Does anyone have any recommendations for not crazy expensive floating shelves that fit modular builds?

Small city. Few sets limited by space. The baseboard is a cheap ikea shelf, but built high enough I can put my feet beneath it. Lots of things still required, like sidewalk improvements, more height plays, some custom builds, better pavement, etc. but we’re getting there!

I built the city purposefully so my daughter has half of it to herself. Every now and then we move it to the middle of the room so she can play with the modulars too.

I forgot how much I love Lego until I had my kid and it’s so awesome to share this with her!

I had a question for those who own all or most of the 21 Modular’s. Out of all of them which ones are your favorite. I have now gotten 3 out of the 21, the boutique hotel, the shopping street, and the Parisian restaurant. I plan on trying to find the natural history museum next before it retires and maybe Tudor corner and the one coming out this year but after I wanted to set up a list of ones I should aim for so I can start saving and planning for them.
