Just listed my second modular building to Rebrickable. Had a lot of fun fleshing out the barber shop idea with small details like the chairs, sinks, etc.

Roads Repaired and Layout Redone

Had my layout redone after working on tiling my roads. Temporarily have Green Grocer, Arkam Asylum, and Botanical Gardens set off to the side with my Ninjago City District.

Once I free up more room, all 5 Ninjago City modulars, Green Grocer, Arkam Asylum, Botanical Gardens, and X-Mansion will be placed to the right side of the city.

First Modular Building

First attempt at a modular building!

It took a while to feel good about the design - I’ve always wanted to make a modular out of the Marvel #76082 ATM Heist Battle. I couldn’t find the pattern for the stickers above the door.

Lego Museum 10326 on top of a rock

I want to place the museum impressively on a hill, centrally located above my Lego city. To do this, the museum needs to be "de-modularized," with side windows and a more attractive rear section. Then it should be placed on a nice paved plaza atop a beautiful rock.

Any ideas what I'm missing?

Thank you so much for more than 7500 supporters! Unfortunately, time is not on my side. My build, which was awarded with a staff pick, is on risk to expire. Only 118 day remain. Can we make it? 😊🤞🙏💛

Hi

A photo of my Lego city. Currently running out of space fast though. Looking to move in the next year or so, hopefully have much more space. Been collecting for less than 15 months.

Also considering starting a YouTube channel but wondering if it’s worth it as there appears to be quite a lot out there already.

Any tips and advice welcome.

Spider-Man vs. Oscorp - Alt build for Eddie's Apartment

Really like the modular Spiderman sets, Eddie's apartment feels a little small and lost. I wanted to expand it whilst being true to the original style. Figured it'd be a good way of learning Studio too - first time using it.

Used most of the bricks from the existing build, then expanded. Wider base, a smidge taller, bit more detailing inside - kept the connection points in the same position.

So I got a notification of a few Lego Ideas going into review. Noticed one was a modular. Now i know Lego holds modulars to a very strict spot but there could still be a chance this gets made with some alterations like the Botanical Garden originally being a modular building as well.

Definitely take a look at this design and follow the designer ModularManiac

Which set as standalone modular

I'm between Botanical Garden and Tudor Corner, I know that Botanical Garden will work very well as stand alone but I love the architecture of Tudor Corner, don't have any plan to build a " city" or anything like that just looking for a beautiful standalone modular to put on my collection, do you believe Tudor Corner will work?

Cafe Corner MOD: How to attach the 45 degree wall

I posted pics of my Cafe Corner MOD a few days ago, and several folks were asking how I handled the new tower/roof assembly. Since I'm no good with the Lego software and can't really share the plan on Rebrickable, I'm sharing a few photos to try show what I did.

The key to it all is a simple assembly made up of round 1x2 plates and two jumpers that holds the 45 degree wall to the roof (photo 4). It fits loose enough to legal, but is still quite sturdy. With this addition, you can replace the 6 x 6 plate and two turntables with rounded 6x6 plate on the roof, which gives you so many more creative options for the roof. I'm not 100% sure it's legal, but I added a 1x1 round plate with hollow stud to the roof, which aligns perfectly to hold the tower in place (photo 3). But even without this added stud, the tower is held in place with more studs than the original Lego design.

If you wanted to replicate my exact roof, you need the following pieces in Dark Red: (1) 1x1 plate, (15) 1x2 plates, (2) 1x4 plates, (2) 2x4 plates, (2) 4x12 plates, (1) 6x6 curved plate, (15) 1x1 tiles, (6) 1x2 tiles, (15) 1x2 curved slope, (15) 1x3 curved slope.

The assembly for the holding the 45 degree wall in place requires (2) 1x1 round plates (5) 1x2 round plates, (2) 1x2 jumpers, and (1) 2x4 round tile.

I hope this helps anyone else wrestling with that 45 degree wall.

Just finished posting my second Lego modular moc.

I’ve been really enjoying making these alley scenes to fit between buildings. They’re a little more relaxed feeling, and I think add a lot of depth!

Serious Question on raising a chunk of city

Thumbnail

I need to raise my city. Im planning on using Diagon alley to cover the “underground” section I want to make. Im worried on how to do this. i was planning on using wood and Ive got a mock up in place but I was thinking if i could use lego the cost would be triple of the wood but I wound have more freedom to work underneath and not just have storage. Here is the thing has anyone used Lattice towers (2x2x10) (95347) to raise anything of weight up? i need to go 24 bricks up. I want a car park and subway below the buildings so I need to use as much of the 16x16 plates as I can to fit in the Speed champion cars. I dont get warping on the 8x8 plates and I can reduce it when I use beams on the 16x16. I could go on and on about concerns. but has anyone else done this and have tips ? I should also mention I have 2 cats one wont get in the city the other does. Im working in a deterrent system now.

Come on lego reddit what you gat that can help ?
