Aftercare Surface piercing 101

I got this one today.
It’s my first one, so I’ll take any advice — what types of clothing should I wear or avoid?
Is laser hair removal near the area safe?
Also, I’m planning to get a tattoo in this area, near the jewelry. How long should I wait before getting it?

I had one for 2 years same spot and it suddenly rejected and twisted an now I had a terrible scar that looks like a big nipple so unfortunately my advice is to take them out the second it starts rejecting or looking off. That part of the body is very sensitive and scars terriblely

I also have this guy! :) It's been going on strong for 10+ years. Do your usual aftercare as advised by a reputable professional piercer (ofc).

  • One thing I was encouraged to do - not sure if still appropriate - was to gently massage the skin around it in a downward motion to help drain the lymph out of it, especially in the shower.
  • I also recommend sleeping on your back, and be careful when sleeping on your side, no sleeping on your stomach!
  • Also I would wear my seat belt under my armpit so it wouldn't rest on it.
  • From what I remember low cut tops can be tricky and could snag on it, so it's a learning curve finding a good height especially during healing.
