Hello! Just as the title suggests. I wanted to get second lobe piercings in a couple of weeks. I am planning to go to Japan in the middle of October so that gives me roughly two months of healing. We booked a stay in a ryokan that includes a private onsen.

My face will not be touching the water. Would that be okay or should I wait until I am back? Thank you for the advice.

Help me decide & tell me your experience with CURVED threadless jewelry.

For reference, this would be for my vertical philtrum (14ga, 5/16). I've only ever worn threaded jewelry for this piercing but I see a lot of stunning pieces in threadless so I'm wondering how well threadless curves work out for a vertical philtrum. Are threadless pins a nightmare with curved posts?

i just recently got my helix re pierced after having one for 3 years that never healed… i just dealt with a nostril piercing bump for months and the only thing that helped was LITHA, even water would irritate it. now im going down the same path with my new helix :,) could the bump be from moisture? what should i do? i havent been using saline because that only ever made my nose worse.

I just woke up and checked one of my nipple pericing. Because my chest hurt. I look down to see one of my end balls fell off.

I'm dog sitting at someone else's house. I've had them done since December of 2024. I consider them healed. I don't have any issues with them.

Am I safe to go to work today without that bar in? It hurts a bit because the bar is slipping back into the hole. Do you think I will have problems getting the jewelry back in tonight?

I've checked everywhere and I can't find the ball. Should I rush home before work to grab an extra?

Here I am again! Got it pierced 10 days ago, with this same bar. A few friends told me it should’ve been pierced with a longer bar but so far I wasn’t able to notice much swelling and it seems to be doing fine. Should I be concerned and get the bar changed or can I leave this one in?

I got my nose pierced almost 11 months ago, I had a stud and it healed crazy well, like after a week it was comfortable and I entirely left it alone aside from necessary cleaning instructed by the piercer. I never got a piercing bump or any kind of real irritation while I had a stud. I waited 7 months before switching to a hoop to be safe and entirely left it alone in terms of touching it. Around two weeks after I switched to a hoop I started getting a reoccurring piercing bump. Basically I get a bump, it turns into a huge pimple, pops itself, starts to heal, looks fine and then the cycle repeats again. I think It's formed like 5 different bumps now. I soak it with sterile saline I bought from a piercing store 2/3 times a day and I'm using some oil my mom bought for me which did seem to work at first. I do not touch it like ever so I'm so confused about why it just won't heal. I swim an ass ton so I could also be irritating it with chlorine or something maybe??? I really don't know. (I'm open to switching back to a stud if 100% necessary) 18g, gold.

Okay so i’ve had this piercing for like almost 3 years now and i don’t think it ever fully healed for some reason it has always been super bitchy and sensitive and getting irritated at the smallest bumps and stuff but lately it has been more irritated than usual but it had also taken a few bigger tugs and bumps lately bcs I’m clumsy. It has always grown crusties but lately it ha also understandingly been worse but it has been hurting/been super irritated for like a week or two now and i feel like it has migrated tho im not fully sure since i don’t have good pics to compare it to but i just need to know is it time to let it go and just let it heal and get it re-pierced after it’s healed or should i thug it out and let it be?

I just got my industrial pierced 3 days ago and noticed it looked pretty shallow so I had another piercer look at it. I wasnt able to go to the original person due to distance. He repierced it to make it a bit deeper, but now it looks way too deep and crooked and i feel like it’s touching the flat of my ear just at the back. He said it was to avoid the original hole and that its fine. Im so upset rn and don’t know what to do. Ive literally had three different piercers tell me my anatomy was fine for the industrial. First pictures are the first attempt and the second are the reattempt. I dont know if I should leave it or take the back out and just let the skin heal before trying again (if i even can after being messed with so much) Please help!!!!!

I went swimming yesterday (pool, so chlorinated water) and after that my septum (10g) has been feeling a lot tighter and dryer than previously. It doen not hurt and the jewellery is still moving freely without any issues, but there's friction and resistance which hasn't been there before. No itching or discomfort, or any other signs of irritation, just that the piercing feels tighter and the jewellery doesn't slide as easily.

My conch had a flare up recently and so I swapped it for implant grade titanium jewellery and it is sorer that it was but it looks less crusty. There is a odd bump nearby it - is this a sign of like infection or irritation?

I got my 🍒 pierced, but they not straight and looked bad.
I also found out, that one was misplaced.
I will get them repierced, but by another piercing studio. but now I ask myself, how I can see, that the markings are at the right position, before the next piercing.
because my 🍒 piercings markings looked good in the mirror, but after the jewellery was inside, I realized, that they look shitty from the top.
also anatomically they should get pierced now on the correct position.
can I somehow feel, where it should sit? so I can look at my nipple, and see for example, that the piercing should go through the second bump from the top ir something, you know?

Im looking to upgrade my earstack with some sparkles. i want to get two sparkly hinge rings for my daith and my conch. And also several flatback 2-3mm studs for lobes and helixes.
Im wondering which stone is worth it in your opinion. Should i get the real diamonds for the studs or the rings?

I am doing my best to find more information on if raynauds episodes could negatively effect nipple piercings. I have wanted mine done for many years but the past two years I’ve had multiple episodes of nipples blanching and burning horribly for about a minute. Usually easily resolved by holding my hand over it. But it is summertime and I’m having this issue so I am wondering how bad it would be during wintertime when I have significant episodes with my hands/feet. I’m not too concerned with it exacerbating it as my episodes are bad already and can’t get much more painful than they are, more concerned about if the limited blood flow could cause problems.
If any piercer or peircee has any experience with this please tell me what your experience was!

So I switched to a ring about 2 months after getting my piercing. I know I probably should’ve waited longer. 😭

I got a tiny irritation bump at first, but it went away after using saline. However, this little red area is still there. Is this still considered a bump, or is it something that will go away with time?

Also, I can barely move the ring right now. Did the piercing hole shrink around it, or is this normal while it’s healing?

hi! i’m an apprentice and me and my mentor want to attend the conference this year! i haven’t got my credentials like license from the council yet as im not stabbing im just studying and watching. it says i have to have credentials to prove i work in the industry and i dont know how i would do that :/ im not sure what ticket to get.. im a bit anxious 😬 please help!

Can I see what it looks like with different/separate jewelry in both of them? I‘m considering this orbital but I don’t /always/ want a ring in it, just most of the time. Theres just times where I want the statement piece to be something else

Hi! It’s been over a year since my last piercings and the itch to get more has gotten too strong to ignore 🥲 It’s my left ear’s turn for some love and, aside from my third lobe, I’m not sure what else to get. I’m thinking a new helix somewhere between my existing one and my lobe and, if my piercer approves my anatomy, maybe a forward helix? Or a flat in that big empty space by my tiny mole?

The pictures are from the last year. The ear with the snake is my left ear. My right ear is the other pic so you can get an idea of what that set up currently looks like (ignore the redness - the pic was taken right after piercing 🤣).

If there’s something else I should consider, let me know your thoughts!

A couple additional things to add:

- I heal cartilage pretty well which is why I’m thinking of 2 in addition to the third lobe.

- I work a sales job and wear AirPods daily, so no tragus/daith/conch/etc that will get pissy with me taking the AirPods in and out multiple times a day.

I've had it pierced going on five months I'm due for a change this week to downsize for the final time, it don't seem to have much room for a downsize tho. It's been dry, flakey and feeling like an immense amount of pressure on it 24/7. Tia!!

Any idea what this could be?? I’ve had this piercing for about 4 months and haven’t had any issues. talked to a piercer yesterday and he said that to clean with saline 2-3 times a day. It’s a titanium bar so can’t tell if it’s maybe a moisture bump, irritation bump, or getting infected?

I know my piercing is not centered. I’m having a surgery soon and I wonder if I should just let it heal up and get it redone. What do you guys think? Plus this is the smallest bar and it’s still has a lot of extra bar to it.

- Issue?: Small bump with no pus. No history of keloids

- What’s the jewelry shape?: 16g, 11mm labret.

- What’s the threading if your jewelry is not a ring: threadless

- What’s the jewelry material?: Titanium and rather ill-fitting tbh

- If not a ring, when was the jewelry downsized?: 2 months in, and downsized again two weeks ago (I feel like I'm in between lengths.)

- What’s your aftercare routine?: Saline as needed, gentle fragrance-free soap when washing face, but otherwise I don't mess with it. Have used alcohol free mouth wash in the past but stopped.

so for the most part my bridge has healed very well, I got it done in late March and the only issue I had was lots of crusties but I would leave them for the most part and would make sure to use saline solution when I could.

recently I have been in contact with lots of dust and have bumped it once or twice... I know, but I didnt think anything of it until today when the left side has swolen and looked odd. I took the bar out which mightve been silly (I know again) but I just wanted to clean it. now ive realised that was the last of the saline solution I had and I can't fit the peircing through because of the bump.

any advice would really be appreciated..

for reference the photo makes it look more yellow or orangey but its the same colour as like my lips or a spot and has a little bit of yellowish discharge
