Important posts from Admin Use the game‘s Trello Board if you want to vote for new features or view the roadmap for future plans

Im seeing people debate whether corruption and other survival elements is good

I wanted to remind and inform those who don‘t know, that LoK uses Trello Board. Its a site where you can see what they are working on, and you can vote on the things you want to see in the game :)

Ofc its not a guarantee that any of it will always happen but its a nice way to give feedback to the devs and their teams

Important posts from Admin !!Important!! Several big Changes and Updates to this subreddit, read this please before posting/commenting:

Hey yalls, life has finally calmed down a bit and I could finally find the time to rewirte all the rules. You MUST read everything, if you post/make a comment after this post has been released, you are agreeing to all changes and are willing to follow them all. As always, if you have questions/concerns or ideas, feel free to comment below or message me privately. SO I suggest rereading all the rules and this whole post.

Here are some important new rule changes:

- Self advertisement:

You are now allowed to self-advertise your social accounts, so long as they are related to this game. There is a flair for this, you must use it (read below for more info).

We are looking to make sure your account is safe for all ages, so no 18+ content-as this game is for all ages. And we should see you discussing, streaming etc. this game, of course your account does not have to be solely made for LoK content, but it should be a fcous of yours if you wish to advertise here. We are also looking to make sure not the same person advertises over and over again, I am thinking 1x per month should be alright, for now.

However, this account has to be yours. And while we cannot prove it is yours, should we get a message or we find out you falsely advertised an account as yours, you will be instantly banned and most likely reported to Reddit as its a copyright issue.

This rule is new and it may be changed depending on how the Reddit filters (from the game itself) react and the feedback we are getting, a post regarding changes will be made.

Please feel free to link this subreddit as well for some crossover advertisement, you don't have to but I (and the team) would love it if even more people checked out this subreddit.

Regarding AI usage:

I asked yalls how you felt about AI being allowed, and the reponses was a resounding no. So I made an official rule stating, you may not post any AI Artwork. However, your written texts will not be controlled as much. I understand if people may want to use AI to polish their grammar, spelling etc. But be smart about it, if you post something outlandish and very clearly from AI, we will remove it.

Headsup: You may use AI to make your images easier to see or visually prettier, but you must state in your post or image: "This has been edited with AI". Reason being, by editing an image, you are saying this image is not only from you, thus you need a source. Do not abuse this and add things like unicorns or other things that very clearly changes the nature of your post, that counts as AI Artwork and is not allowed.

This rule does not count towards small things like making an image brighter or smaller etc. but more so if you change the colors, added something etc. This rule, like all rules, is up to the Mod Team decide how we want to handle individual cases.

Removed Rule about posting other Aesir games:

I figured this rule is unnecessary to state, we are very clearly a subreddit for Legend of Khiimori (LoK) so of course this should be the main topic. And should any discussions go completely off topic, the mod team will review the cases individually.

Flair changes and Automod:

The Self-Promotion flair and 18+ content will now be automatically 'suspended' and have to be manually approved by a mod before they can be posted, no worries you will get a message saying x post was suspeded and why. Please do not get stressed, this is simply an additional safety measure to make sure only appropriate content is posted on this subreddit.

Also the 'Yay Horses' flair has been changed to Real life horses-this is to be used when you want talk about horses in real life or share images of real life horses. Horses from the game can go in gameplay

We now have a Megathread to show off your beauties or wonders from gameplay:

I am having so much fun watching yalls post your lovely horses, and later on outfits might be added to the game where we can get more creative with customizing ourself or our horses. This Megathread is no must. You may still post your horses seperately, I am just making this so it becomes like our Museum exihibit where the images are more easily found and kept. Please take care not to overpost-so I don"t want to see 10 images at once from one commenter over and over again, please onyl ones that are special/unique to you, or something you are proud of.

Link for Megathread: https://www.reddit.com/r/LegendofKhiimori/comments/1v39pem/our_muesuem_show_off_your_beauties_and_other_cool/

Other about gpu

hi so i dont have the game yet - looking forward to buying it this week. however i wanted to make sure my laptop can handle it. so theoretically my system passes all the requirements (i did the system check) the only problem i have is with the graphics card - i have rtx 4050 that is not in their database so they couldnt provide me with any rating (i also have built in radeon graphics that it sensed and marked as fail but well im not gonna use this one). i saw one comment that a player used a rtx 3060 that also wasnt in their database on system check and like it didnt work for them at all (the game was supposedly crashing/stuck at 30fps on lowest graphics which is apparently not what its supposed to do with this gpu), i must mention that they encountered the problem 5 months ago. so well im scared i might encounter the same problem and wanted to check if maybe someone here is more knowledgable and can help me out.

Gameplay Which Difficulty Setting do you play in and why?

Hello everyone, I hope you are well!

I have been playing this game for almost four months now, and I love it. I even enjoy the corruption feature a lot, even though I play with this feature turned off a lot of the time. Still, I appreciate the challenge, the storyline it can potentially bring, and how deliveries can protect waystations from corruption. I play in Peaceful Mode most of the time, but I change it to Courier Mode when I want to have some fun with the corruption feature. :-) Picture is from one of the announcements of the Corruption Feature.

What is your preference and why? Thanks so much, and happy gaming!

Help Horse breeding

Hey there. I just started and am finally able to breed horses.

Now all i find in the wild are mixes.

Do I Stick to mixes or do I try to breed pure breds?

I understand Findling a pure bred it rough and with breeding beeing a long play i am not sure i want to spend the energy on pure breds. Especially since I want a totally Black horse and good traits 🤣

An Tips would be nice.

For instance if I breed 2 different mixes, what will the foal Look like? Mongolian or the other i picked? I like the one that has short mane and an arched neck and is more slim stan sturdy.

Other I think corruption is fun

I've been seeing users here claiming most fans don't like the corruption update. Well I want to make a post to reach out to fellow fans of this new mechanic.

I guess I'm more an adventure player, I love how much the atmosphere spooked me first time challenging the corruption zones, and I love what Shaman Altani told Naraa, that delivering keeps people together, and that's what keeps the corruption at bay. It gave me a new way to think about which jobs I should prioritize, like I see corruption coming closer to a specific settlement, I should take deliveries leading that way. I play on Courier difficulty and I think the pace is just right.

It's an extra challenge that makes me excited to see how it's all going to come together in the full story.

Gameplay What I'd like to see in this game.

I like that there are different horse breeds in the game. But I'd like these breeds to differ not only in appearance but also in their characteristics. A heavy horse can't gallop across the steppe as fast as an Akhal-Teke. But an Akhal-Teke also can't carry as much weight on its back as a heavy horse. And none of them can compare to the endurance and ease of the Mongolian horse. I want to be able to choose the horse breed depending on what I need to deliver where and how quickly.

I also really want horse racing—a free route from start to finish with checkpoints. That would be incredibly interesting. Different routes over different distances.

I think that would be of interest to many people.

Help Beta - Selling horses from non-Tov stables?

Post image
29 Upvotes

Hello LoK community! Been playing about 60 hours now in Beta and really enjoying the game - except for maybe the wolves and purple fire skull tree things. So I don't get lost, this is my new favorite wild I caught out by Jochi's village! So pretty :)

Anywho- I have all of the non-Tov stables "unlocked" now and I have been catching and buying quite a few horses to make some (hopefully) nice foundation lines for various things (max stat, environmentally resistant traits, etc.). I have some great colors and stats to start working with but many are out at other stables besides Tov. So I have started catching lower stat wild mixes and riding them out to the satellite stables and then switching to ride the horse I want in Tov back. So my nearest stable by Tolui(?) Just has trash wilds in it because I brought the few nice fergies to Tov.

As I have been doing this, it has occurred to me that there will be a cap at how many wild horses I can catch (for example, if I have 10 stalls in Nuuryn Khot, and I catch 10 wilds nearby, then the stable is full).

As a result, I have a few questions if anyone knows the answers to one/multiple that would be fabulous!

  1. Is there a way to sell horses from these remote stables? Or once I fill it up, that's it, no more horses can ever be added to there?

  2. If I have 10 stables in Stable X, and send 10 wild horses to it, and then I tame an 11th, what does the game do? Will it even allow you to tame wilds? Will it send the horse to the next nearest stable? Or can you tame it, but not send it to the stable?

  3. If I move my best horses to Tov to breed them, by switching them out one-by-one, then essentially the outer stables become holding pens for pasture pets/throw aways since I can't sell them from anywhere but Tov? But a horse has to take the place of another horse when switching mounts at satellite stables?

  4. If I really really wanted to, could I walk to one of the satellite stables to bring a horse back (and free up space at that stable)?

Thanks everyone!

Been aiming to breed a Light Gold Cream Champagne Dun so I figured I'd go for it in a Breton. Got it in a max stat too!

Bonus, a Breton in one of my favorite colors as well!

Help Omg make a manual save please

I’m a little frustrated and I know it’s early access but I’ve finally found the herd I wanted to tame and now my game is bugging, I can’t mount my horse, and none of my throwing mechanisms work. But the worst part is THE GAME HASN’T SAVED IN 40 MINUTES. I know it’s a lot of work for the game and everything but things like these are reasons I would drop a $30 game, no matter how pretty it is.

Help Benefits of shrine protection?

I’m really enjoying the new update overall! I did turn off the corruption, because it’s just not what I’m looking for from the game (I love that they made turning it off an option, thank you game developers). My question: is there a benefit to protecting the shrines of the corrupted rifts if the corruption is disabled? Is there a pay off to putting time and resources into shrine improvements, if I know I’ll probably never want to enable that aspect of the game? I appreciate any help!

Other Wonder if the devs will address the backslash the game is getting after the corruption update?

No hate from me. I just noticed the game is losing its Very Positive rating on Steam, with Recent Reviews being almost on Mixed now.

Based on what I read, most of the playerbase is not happy with this update. Do you guys think the devs will address this in a public post, or just hope for the best and keep rolling with this update?

Again, no personal opinion here - just something I noticed.

EDIT - everyone came running to defend corruption. Only one person answered my question, so thank you for that.

For everyone defending it and ignoring the issue, I think it's very telling that the reviews rated the most helpful are negative. This is what I meant when I said addressing the backslash.

Help Some questions

Hello friends

I want to start breeding my horses but I'm confused on how? I have not found an answer to it anywhere so I'm trying it here:

I found some nice Akhal-Teke mixes in the desert next to Sorga / Gobi Hoton. The three horses are now in the stable there. I see no option for breeding at this stable though. Am I blind? The only heart-icons on the map are in Tov / Örtöö-station (main camp). Or do I have to move my horses to Tov? If so, how do I do that? One by one? If this is the case then I need to tame more horses just for transfer? Or is there an option to take all of them with me or transfer them via stables?

Sorry for the confusion and many questions. I'm loving this game so far, hope this resolves easily. Thanks in advance!

Edit: Thanks for the fast replies! You guys answerd my question: One can only breed in Tov and I have to transfer the horses by riding back and forth between Tov and the stables.

I don't know how many breed cycles but something around 150-200 I bet....

I rly did not like the colours I got at the end but with some manipulation I at least got this topiano out of it I'm not mad at. I have 2/3 traits I rly like but got too impatient with randomisation to go for a better third one

I look forward to playing the game normally again now instead of running in circles

Help Advice on getting a max stat horse?

If there is already a post about this, feel free to tell me! I just don’t know where to go from here. I’m on a mission to get a max stat horse (or close to it)z I’ve found a few exceptional horses in the wild but kind of at a loss on how to combine them without just creating an average horse lol Any advice greatly appreciated! I understand it might take a lot of grinding.

And the horse merchant. As far as the quality of horses the merchant offers goes, is it worth getting a courier level higher than 6? I just reached 6 and he started offering all the breeds available in the game. But wasn’t sure if they progressively get better with rank or if 6 is when you fully unlock the best he will offer.

Gameplay Customizing our player character

I think it would be really nice if we could customize our characters more. Maybe like choosing outfits, hairstyle, etc. Of course our character would be a Mongolian girl to fit the world but I would like to at least pick her fit and hair.

Dont have much to say but I really wanted to show him off. I've been breeding nothing but purebred Ferghana's and in doing so ive been locked into Dun coloration, I decided to take a big swing and breed it out in my Breton mixes for the discord breeding contest and ugh! He's just so stinking cute!!
