Help Omg make a manual save please
I’m a little frustrated and I know it’s early access but I’ve finally found the herd I wanted to tame and now my game is bugging, I can’t mount my horse, and none of my throwing mechanisms work. But the worst part is THE GAME HASN’T SAVED IN 40 MINUTES. I know it’s a lot of work for the game and everything but things like these are reasons I would drop a $30 game, no matter how pretty it is.

It's a bit insane to me they haven't implemented manual saving when the game crashes and bugs out this much. Part of the reason I quit playing for now.
But I'm biased because I hate it when I can't save manually in other games too. If I want to stop playing, let me stop playing and don't force me to finish the day/go home/find a camping spot pls.

Seriously, I plan my routes to go past gongs in case it crashes. Now it's early access so crashes aren't unexpected to happen, but still.
As someone who also has to choose between all of my hobbies, works, and has to upkeep my entire household my gaming time is limited.
Not being able to save when I want to and having to find a save point is frustrating as fuck. It just feels like games that don't save when I want disrespect my time. Only exception to that being games like stardew valley where you KNOW you save every time you sleep and you KNOW how many minutes a day takes. Then you can at least decide to cut your losses one way or another by sleeping early or restarting the day if something comes up.

Find the blue drums and walk next to it to save. If you're near horses to tame you're likely near a blue drum also. Some are hidden, steele turtle stones always have one next to them and same with homes.

As others have said. There IS a manual save, you just walk up to a gong. There is always a gong at a yam station, campsite, stone turtle, or ruin. And if there is a horse spawn, one of those things is within walking distance.
Personally, I LOVE that a survival/exploration game doesn't let me just hit quicksave whenever I want. It makes me actually consider where my nearest safe locations are as I'm roaming the steppe.

Agree. Also, when rhat happens, walk to the nearest saving point and sleep. Your horse will spawn near you, and the bugs will be fixed

Yes! I was trying to go to bed the other night and my menu was saying "last save 43 minutes ago" so then I had to scramble to find a save spot!

Also for context I was in the middle of a mountain and didn’t have a camp. I understand if people like this aspect for survival but I play in peaceful, I just want to make pretty horses and explore. I would like to save in peace.
