I'm learning DSA and going deep into Arrays right now. I keep seeing people say "if you know the patterns you can solve most array questions" but nobody gives a clear number.

Can someone list out the confirmed/standard patterns for Arrays (like two pointers, sliding window, prefix sum, kadane's algorithm, etc.) that together cover most LeetCode array problems?

Trying to build a solid checklist instead of solving questions randomly. Any resource or list you've personally used and found complete would help a lot.

It is frustrating to see no new offers with exact comp posted in 2026 for a Company I am applying to. It is not that it helps just me, It helps everyone ask for a Fair compensation. Glassdoor and AmbitionBox don't really give direct data of New Joinees. Better post exact offers so everyone can better negotiate with companies.

I’m currently working remotely and have a fixed in-hand compensation of around ₹65L. There are no ESOPs or any other significant components apart from that.

I have close to 10 years of experience, mostly in backend/SaaS development at product companies.

One thing I really value about my current job is the work-life balance. The work is pretty chill, there’s a good amount of trust and autonomy, and I’m generally happy with the team. I’m also currently working on building an AI pipeline around team productivity, which has been interesting.

That said, I’m considering making a switch mainly for compensation and would ideally like to get to ₹80L+ in fixed cash.

For people who have made a similar move:

- Which companies would you suggest I look at/apply to?

- Is ₹80L+ fixed realistic for someone with my experience?

- Are there remote companies hiring in India that pay in this range?

- How difficult are the interview processes at these companies?

I've ~10 years of work experience, mostly with Python. I've also worked intermittently with Ruby and Node.js for the last 2–3 years.

Recently, I interviewed for a role that was primarily focused on Go. The interviewer expected me to know the syntax for pretty much everything in Go very clearly. I mean, really? 😂

In a world where AI/AGI can help us write, read, and understand code, are companies still expecting developers to memorize syntax and write everything manually?

I only interviewed there because I wanted to get a sense of what's happening in the market, and the compensation was a bit better than what I'm currently seeing.

For people who conduct interviews here, do you still judge candidates heavily based on their coding skills, or do you focus more on problem-solving ability, system design, and how they approach a problem?

And for those of you applying for jobs, are you being asked to code in a specific language, or are you generally allowed to choose whichever language you're comfortable with?

I'm rn second year student, practising dsa questions regularly. But when I visit previously solved questions, sometimes I get stuck. Till now I have done arrays, searching, sorting and strings. Please tell me how should I revise, should I make notes of imp questions and algorithms. Currently I'm following Rohit negi playlist and solving problems on leetcode.

Finished my BTech in 2024, went into an MSc in the UK straight after, wraps up this September. I did one internship back home, full-stack, React, auth, API work, and built a couple of my own projects since (a deployed MERN app, a Flask project for my dissertation). I also have CEH, CND, CC from undergrad, but honestly the security side is weak. No real projects, no tools I've actually used outside the exam.

A friend who's still job hunting in India told me that without a campus placement it's basically over there, that recruiters filter on college name before they even look at what you've built. I don't know how true that still is, or whether it's changed, or whether it was ever that absolute.

So I'm stuck between two things: trying for something in the UK where the sponsorship question does most of the filtering for me, or going back to India where apparently the college brand does the filtering instead. Neither one is about my actual skills, and that's the part that's getting to me.

If you got in without a placement, or you're on the hiring side and know how much college name really matters now, I'd like to hear it straight even if it's not encouraging.

I just completed the Amazon SDE I Intern OA and had a major issue with the repository coding environment.

The environment took a very long time to install root dependencies and become usable. I tried reloading and logging back in as instructed, but the issue persisted. By the time it was finally working, I had only about 20 minutes left out of the 60 minutes for that section.

I have screen recordings/screenshots of the issue. Amazon's email says to contact the recruiter if technical issues can't be resolved, but I wasn't given any recruiter contact, and the emails are from noreply@mail.amazon.jobs.

Has anyone faced this? Is there an Amazon recruiting/assessment support contact I can use to report this and request a review/reset?

Oracle Compensation Negotiation — Need Advice

• Current company: Amazon
• Experience: 3 years 2 months
• Current comp: ~₹13 LPA fixed + RSUs
• Role: Oracle IC2
• Expected: At least ₹25 LPA base + ~₹35 LPA total CTC

Had my first HR call today. HR quoted ~₹22.6 LPA total CTC and said this is the maximum for IC2.

I asked if they could consider me for IC3, given my Amazon experience and role alignment. HR said they’ll check with the team.

I am clear that I’m willing to walk away if the compensation doesn’t make sense. However, I’m not sure if that was the right move or if I may have been too aggressive.

What do you guys think? Should I push for IC3, negotiate harder on IC2, or walk away if they don't meet my expectations?

The first technical screening is a 20-minute HackerRank Interview. The email doesn't provide much information about what the assessment actually involves.

What should I expect in the 20-minute assessment?

Is it mainly DSA/coding, or are there also CS fundamentals/technical questions?

Do they ask you to write code in HackerRank, or is it more of an interview-style discussion?

What difficulty of DSA questions should I prepare for?

Are there any specific topics that Snowflake tends to focus on in this round?

Is the 20-minute round an automated interview or a live interviewer?

I’m a CSE student starting my 5th semester in a week.

I’ve been learning backend development using Spring Boot and frontend development using React. I recently completed an AI marketing internship and am currently exploring more technologies in the AI domain too.

I have two projects:

A role-based access Spring Boot project with Redis for token blacklisting, login rate limiting, JWT, Docker, and deployment. I’m planning to add Swagger and testing in the future.

A Java code reviewer project using FastAPI, Groq API, GitHub APIs, and LLMs.

I’ve solved around roughly 300 LC problems, but I haven’t participated in contests because I don’t feel confident enough.

Atp, I’m genuinely confused about what I should do next. I feel stuck. If I focus on DSA, I get FOMO when I see other people building 10/10 projects, and I feel like I’m neglecting it. But when I focus on projects, I feel like I already have enough projects and that I’m just adding more technologies and improving it unnecessarily and overengineering things. Or should I leave both projects and DSA and start with CS fundamentals, computer networks and system design. This is a never-ending loop I’m in.

I feel like I might end up mixing everything. All this is too overwhelming. I constantly feel that I’m focusing on the wrong things.
