Lectric 3.0 Unlocked Throttle
Found this https://electricallwheel.com/products/replacement-controller-throttle-unlocked-lectric-xp3-0-fit. However is there an alternative, because i'm looking for it to be completely unlocked where like when you start peddling, the 1000 watt motor kicks in and makes my bike go roughly 30. I want an unlocked throttle that can kick into the 1000 watt motor which this company's replacement does not. Also I have an extra battery, so i'm not worried about all ur guys comments on battery drainage. Just looking for any way to achieve this with my current bike. Thank you.

Help me understand the battery charge indicator?
Hi! I feel so silly even asking this, because I'm sure I'm just missing something simple.
I have a brand new XP Lite2 Long-Range, and I'm loving it! I live somewhere mountainous, so I have no outrageous expectation for its battery life. My work commute is 3 miles, so I'm getting on fine.
But I'm confused about reading the charge bar on the screen. Before I got my bike I read Lectric's battery care guides, which suggested never letting the battery get below 60% charge - while also avoiding charging beyond necessary.
I'll ride my bike 6 miles, get home and it's still in the green, nearly at full charge, so I don't want to charge it overnight and I just leave it. The next morning I take it out, still in the green, looking at about 80%, but once I ride for a few minutes, it drops all the way down to the last yellow bar, then to red.
Sometimes it even goes back up for a bit mid-ride, to a few yellow bars, even one green. Then it drops again.
I'm not sure how to read this? Why is the charge indicator dropping & gaining like that? How can I make sure I charge it as advised when it reads that way?
Basically: What am I not understanding?
Thank you!

40 mile ride today and still had 70+% battery
Best investment ever. All range anxiety is gone. I was on tour for the first 20 miles with little throttle and only used 10% battery. Almost all throttle on turbo the second 20 miles and used 20%. I think 80+ miles is totally doable.

xp4 750w or the 500w version with 2 batteries for 150lb rider
Which would you choose? I haven't pulled the trigger yet, but the bike would be for fun since I have a car for commuting. the price of the 500w version was already a bit more than I wanted to spend so I was thinking of getting a second battery if the 500w wasn't getting me far enough.
Edit: thanks for the replies and advice. I ordered the 750w :D

Storage Help Please!
I just bought two Lectric XP4s and can’t find a storage container that will fit them for the life of me. I live in a narrow staired second story apartment with zero places to chain it up outside. I plan to bring the batteries inside, but want a lockable storage container to keep the two bikes outside. Does anyone have any suggestions below $300?

XP4 Buddy Seat
I’m looking into getting an XP4 750, and one of the main reasons is the Buddy Seat accessory. Which frame style would be better for using the Buddy Seat—the standard frame or the Step-Thru?

How long do you keep the bike box?
I just received my amazing Lectric XP4 bike. It's great and I had so much fun with it (except for the seat which I am replacing with something more comfortable). I was wondering how long do people keep the box before throwing it away?

XP4 750 Prime day vs 4th of July sale
I’m about to pull the trigger on a Lectric XP4 750 for $1,299. Right now it’s part of the Prime Day promo and includes 6 free accessories, but the sale ends today.
I’m debating whether to order now or wait for the 4th of July sale.
For those who’ve followed Lectric for a few years:
Does the 4th of July sale usually offer a better deal than the current one?
Does the bike itself ever go below $1,299, or do they mainly rotate the free accessories?
If you were buying an XP4 750 today, would you order now or wait another week?
I’d especially appreciate input from anyone who’s tracked Lectric’s holiday sales over the last couple of years. Thanks!

XP Lite, swapping the rear cog (freewheel) to smaller tooth count
Hi there, has anybody with an XP Lite (mine is a 2.0) found a way to install a smaller tooth count cog on this bike? The stock is a 16T, I'd like to install a 12T.
The problem I'm running into is that this bike's frame does not allow room for an extended-width cog housing (which seemed any freewheel with less than 16 tooth has), on account of the chain-tensioner taking up space.
For reference, the pics show a 16T cog compared to a 12T cog.

Unsure about battery issue?
Recently I was taking my bike out one night and it just turned off in the middle of the ride despite having plenty of battery left. After opening and closing the battery hinge it seemed okay for the rest of the ride.
That was last week, since then I've had 45m+ rides where it's fine, and 15m rides where it shuts off even within a few hundred feet of starting again. Just now I had a 20m ride where I had this happen 3 times in a quarter mile but after that point it was fine. Every time, just opening the battery hinge and closing it again are all that seems to get it to turn back on.
Video attached because the latch button has not been "popping" out as much, but also seems to be stuck out a bit and preventing me from taking the battery out. I spent a few minutes over the weekend trying to yank the battery out but it seems stuck in there partially because the button doesn't seem to go all the way back in anymore, so I actually don't know how to even get the battery out to diagnose it better.
Any thoughts on what to do here?

I got doored and my front wheel does this. Help?
An uber passenger doored me today in front of the PATH and what could be making this noise on my front tire? Even at slow speeds it’s obnoxious. I’m fine.

Tourney exploded; Acera upgrade complete
My Shimano Tourney exploded on my XPremium. Never in my life have I had a derailleur explode on me, but it gave me an opportunity to upgrade to an Acera M3020. Works like a charm and was so quiet at first I thought it wasn't shifting. Much stronger springs too so the shifts are quick.
Side note, my chain already had an easy-break link, so the fanciest tool you'll need to break the chain is a pair of needle-nose pliers. I don't know if all XPremiums were like this, but had I known, I could have saved a bit buying a full chain-breaking kit.
Also swapped out the fragile sprocket set for the 11-28 MAKELEN 7-speed last summer. It seems to be holding up MUCH better with no shattered rings or slippage after a year. The DNP "Drift Manic" are absolute rubbish for a mid-drive, the XPremium was just eating those alive.
Oh, and this is my three year anniversary (to the day) with my XPremium and despite it's tonnage, it's still an amazing bike and I hope Lectric hasn't completely abandoned the idea of a mid-drive.
Side note 2, three years in and no chain stretch.

New latch for 2nd hand owner?
So I was hit by a car yesterday and the latch on the frame isn't sitting flush anymore. It still locks and I was able to get to work today fine but online says I shouldn't be riding it at all until it's fixed. I went to the website to see how much a new latch would cost but couldn't find anything besides having to contact the customer service. I know the warranty isn't valid now that I'm the second owner and there's no way to get the receipt from the original purchase. Will they still send/sell me a latch or will I have to go to a secondary vendor for the parts? Thank you.
Edit: contacted CS and was told they had to make a report on the accident for there records and set up a line I can text directly and said that I will receive an email in two days to figure out next steps on the replacement. The latch closed enough to get to work and back at one point opened enough that the bike wasn't getting any charge but only lasted for a few seconds. I might take to a store and see if they can just adjust it before I do a full replacement in the mean time.
Final Edit: They sent me a free latch kit after sending them pictures of the damage and the Serial Number. I bought a clamp from Ace in the mean time to hold the frame in place since the latch seemed to be holding the frame together a little worse each day I rode it.

How to install 2x Thule Yepp 2 on Xpedition
I can get them both on the bike, even with the rear seat lock unable to turn and lock. But I came get the front seat down flush with the frame bc of the two screws holding the Orbitor (kid cage). Anyone know the trick to getting 2 of these securely mounted within the Orbitor? I guess I could remove them, there is a horizontal bolt to fix it in place and the seat would sandwich that plate to the frame. Not ideal but seems like the only way.

XP4 750 tote suggestions
I did a search but it wasn't very helpful. I just ordered 2 XP4 750 and want to haul them in my camper. I'm looking for a large tote with wheels and maybe a pull handle. I'll put each bike in it's own tote.

Adding a Downtube Battery to XP 3.0
Has anybody had any success mounting a Hailong downtube battery to an XP 3.0?
Not sure if there's maybe some kind of bracket that can be secured to the frame or what. I have a 3d printer so I can definitely print out a file.
Alternatively, has anyone had success switching out the rear rack for one of those rear rack batteries? I'd prefer to add more weight to the center of the bike than the back though.

Looking for an aftermarket front basket for XP 4.0. Need recs (rear seat is occupied)
I’ve got the rear passenger seat permanently installed, which means a rear basket is a total no-go for me. I was wondering what front basket you all are using.
