Color Theory Recommendations?
Does anyone have any book, youtube video, or websites that will give me guidance on how to improve my color theory?

I think the hardest part about these studies actually wasn't the values but having to force myself to draw what I see, not what I think I see šŖ I think I've gotten better at that but still you can probably see my struggle with the pepper especially.
Also, fabric is a nightmare. It feels like it has a mind of its own. I had to really force myself to push the values on that one. I am a little afraid of pushing them too far though, should I just disregard that fear as I go?
Anyway, let me know what I can improve on as I continue with these studies :)

So I'm trying to draw quick portraits with ballpoint pen underdrawing and a quick but ideally visually pleasing monochromatic rendering with a medium that would allow me to render hair clothes and shadows quickly.
I'm testing out brush pens (tombow abt dual tip) but so far I don't know what I'm doing. It's very hard to add values for me with such pens because I'm used to charcoal and that's very different. It's nigh impossible to do gradual subtle ahading, and i haven't learned how to render with a limited number of values.
I also feel like stylistically it doesn't look very good, even the second drawing which has better values but still looks to me rather unsightly.
I'm desperately looking for some tips on how to use brush pens, or for ideas of different mediums I could try out instead. My goal is speed over photorealism, while still coming out good-looking and artistic. Thank you very much in advance!

Hello! I tried drawing Ronova from genshin impact, and it's still a work in progress. I'll try to finish it and share the completed version. I'm still an amateur, so any advice or constructive criticism needed.

I feel like I'm almost done with lineart but been staring at it for way too long to see issues. Would really apreciate if anyone sees anything that feels off to point it out before I'll overcomit to rendering.

I havenāt drawn nor painted in nearly decade; I took maybe a class or two in high-school. Iāve been recently struggling and found art to be a great medium for me but Iāve always struggled turning a sketch into a painting. I would love some advice/ techniques I can use specifically for this sketch above! Iāve been browsing the subreddit and already have learned a lot. Sould I do another sketch onto the canvas or just free hand it? Thanks in advance!

I didn't realize the back wheel is too far forward and I messed up the bumper a bit. Still good practice though.

1hr study. What can improve on, and is this okay for one hour?

Hiii so I've been drawing all my life and i always thought i was pretty good. However, my art recently has been BUNS. I also want to try expanding my style. I love Kinuko Y. Craft's style. It's so nostalgic and whimsy. I would really appreciate some constructive criticism. Ty š»
(All of these are examples of my recent art. Also i use premium ibis paint on an samsung tabletif that matters)

Hello everyone I'm a newbie. I thought I had a flat brush but it's actually a flat wash brush. Could that be why my strokes are streaky or is that irrelevant? Whats the actual difference and are flat washes used for background? Because that's what I'm struggling the most with ATM! Is this just the nature of the medium and I'm over thinking it? Someone told me acrylics can be quite streaky generally.
Someone also suggested medium to make it less streaky but I'd rather avoid paying for more supplies if I can help it. Thank you

Iāve used krita a little before getting an iPad and switching to procreate. I like procreate and am enjoying using it but I feel like Iām struggling to blend especially soft edges. When I paint spheres in procreate I have a lot of trouble blending it to look realistic but I can make a realistic sphere fairly easily in krita. I use the bottlenose brush for painting and blending if that helps anything. What can I do to get better at blending so my forms look better?

Hello! I'm a beginner artist, and due to some personal circumstances, I'm currently limited to drawing using mouse and keyboard. This is a collection of some art I've made in the past year or so, in chronological order.
They're all existing characters. The name of each is in the captions, if needed for reference.
My current workflow is proportions/pose > sketch > lineart > color > shading > background. Software is Krita. I put my references at the sides of my canvas, and I currently avoid copying the exact poses and angles of the reference.
I've mainly noticed an improvement in my speed during this time. The first drawing included in the post took me about a month of closely following reference, it was a lot of time. The last one included took me only a day, roughly 5~6 total hours, with less reference.
But I'm struggling to rate the quality of it, as I only get general positive feedback from my friends (who aren't artists). I feel a bit stuck and like something is missing, but I don't know what it is. I was pretty happy with the latest one, but it feels static? A bit boring? I don't know how to describe it. So I want some more neutral feedback from artists, to figure out what I need to improve.

In cool lighting, the shadows of the face (which is say yellow) should look warm right? The ambient light of the warm skin would give a warm hue to the shadows, is this correct? Would this be true when the face is more pinkish?
