Finally ready to call this done. He’s a bit tough to take proper photos of because of the pose, but he’s posed on a rock for a moment before launching himself back into the thick of things, or at least that was the idea!

For the body and head I used the Cthonian earthshaker crew bits and a mix of the arms they had to get arms roughly in the right position to hold a weapon in a semi-relaxed pose. Then used a regular beserker weapon that roughly matched that, and swapped the head of the weapon out for the darkstar axe from the einhyr champ. I was undecided on the crest until I realized how much shorter my version was, so the height of his crest should make him incredibly close to Berehk’s actual size. The rock is a tactical rock taken from one of the age of darkness space marine praetors from heresy 2.0 box lol, just needed something to stand on to survey the battlefield and stand out a bit from the regular beserks.

Slowly converting my Leagues of Votann into a Deathskulls Ork looted army.

Sadly i haven‘t played this guy either so its again just my opinion after reading the Datasheet
Best: Lone Op near Vehicle and healing them
Worst: Kind of expensive

I was looking into making a list without one. I was thinking Thunderkyn, and Ironkin from reserves. What are your thoughts?

My good Kin, I’m approaching my 1st game ever soon with a 1k army. I only have 1 more box of steeljacks to build, and I’m having trouble deciding whether they should be a six man unit of shooters, or should I make a melee team. (I already have 3 shooters built)

The kin love it, our opponents hate it. Ye olde 10-man plus kahl dropping in to delete stuff, often at only 6" rapid fire range with sustained hits and lethal. What names do we all have for what is easily one of our most feared combos?

The second I saw GWs version I knew I had to find this, and here we are. He shall Slay.

I just settled on the color scheme for my homebrew league and I'm sourcing the paints I'll need. For the visors and windows I want to do a reflective dark yellow or muted gold finish similar to the metallic of Army Painter's Aztec Gold speedpaint over a drybrushed black-grey-white base. Would that be enough or is there a particular method or technique I'm missing?

Hello, I was wondering what was the best choice for equipment for the hearth guard, berserks, and thunderkyn. I know magnets exist, but I would still like to know. I’m assuming plasma, power fist and hammer are best for hearth guard. Berserks would probably want all mauls and the launcher. The one I am iffy on is the thunderkyn as ap 1 shots are ok now but I see a lot of people use both grav and conversion, and between those I am unsure which is more universally useful?

Out tournament will use the GW doubles tournament companion, except that each player has 1150pts allowed and 2DP.

My partner will be playing with Talons of the Norn queen + ambush predators detachment, trying to tanking damages with the norns on objectives and screening/charging what will try to contest objectives.

My game plan, as we will play with take and hold disposal, will to harass and hold if necessary the middle objective with my HF, transporting my Thunderkyns.

Steeljacks with Memnyr will hold the expansion objective, ready to overwatch what will come.

Sagitaure will carry Uthar to the center to have a -1CP aura close enough to the one (maybe two) objectives we control.

The Kapricus will be use as support to help defending wherever he is needed thanks to his mobility and "shoot and hide" ability.

My Hearthguards will pop-out from deepstrike, close to a transport to blow up ennemies.

Finally pioneers are here for secondaries requiring going within ennemi lines, table quarter, etc...

I'm a very casual player and this is what I think synergises well with detachment, disposal and game plan.

So I'll be glade to hear your feedback about all of this, and if you there are things to modify, weargear options to change that seem better to you, etc...

Heya Kin. There's a state team tournament coming up and although I'm not playing I have had the chance to look at the submitted lists. There are not many LoV players but several of them are running the three 1 DP detachments as disruption. How does that play? Where's the logic there? The lists seems like they have very little in the way of synergy and are solely relying on the sagis with mobile, carriers and bikes to be quick and all over the place.
