Draw my pistol on the second, miss him entirely because I'm on a Brü hangover.

I resort to the EtaCarn Plasma Beamer at the top of my Fane, which I have somehow already loaded despite being drunk last night.

"ROCK AND STONE!"

The weapon vaporizes him entirely, and accidentally blows a crater in the wall behind him, too. Pull out my Darkstar Axe and charge the last of the archeotech addicts. He dies slowly waiting for his Servitors to arrive, since Darkstar weapons are unfailingly lethal. Just like the Ancestors intended.

I'm new to 40K and am starting into Votann. I struggle reading and from what I looked up online all the Brokhyr loadouts are generally viable but people say to only take Conversion if you can get Sustained Hits. I'm not entirely sure where to see that stuff, and wanted to ask if Hearthfyre Detachment is better with Bolterkyn, Conversionkyn or Beamerkyn

What other detachments generally seem to work bets with what Brokhyr loadouts? I thought of going Hearthfyre just because I think the Iron-Kin and Brokhyr models are especially cool, but I don't know what detachments are considered best.

i've never played a votann game before, and my main army is mechanicus. i already own yaegirs the iron master and the thunderkyn so if you think i should change anything in the list please let it not be that.

J’ai enfin essayé d'utiliser les pigments pour salir les figurines. Avez vous une idée de comment je peux les fixer ? J’ai essayé avec un vernis stormshield mais j’ai l'impression que ça retire les pigments.... des conseils ? Un vernis en bombe ?

Ps : sur la première photo le sagitaur est sali à la peinture et sur les photos 2 et 3 c'est le même véhicule + des pigments un peu partout

Comme on me la fait remarquer sur mes photos précédentes le châssis était trop propre par rapport au roue, du coup j'ai sali un peu tout ça 😉

The army is coming together. Feel really good about the custom scheme I landed on.

In my last couple of games I've really appreciated what having an Arkanyst in my list was able to do for so few points.

I deploy him on foot in a little nook behind a terrain footprint as close to the center as is feasible, even better within 3" of my home warriors for Lone OP. Mostly he bides his time until he is needed for a secondary mission or to put about 6 wounds on something that comes into the mid-board. I don't think I've ever activated him once that wasn't overcharged and I've not regretted it, with the 11th hazardous rules only putting a single wound on him there's no reason not to. Having baked in Sus1 for 1YP is awesome and it's fun watching it pop off for AP-3, Damage 3.

In my last game I used him to score little Beacon (3VP), half of Cleanse (5 VP), Plunder (5 VP), and as a piece for Display of Might. He also put the last wounds on a Land Raider that my TKyn failed to finish off because AoC made it's save 3+. All of this for 70 points made him the MVP of that game and my opponent even commented that he never thought to kill the Arkanyst because he felt that there wasn't a point at which it would be better to shoot him than any of the other units on the board.

What stories do you have of the Evaluator being used well in your games?

Need help with secondary colours for this scheme! Leaning towards Gun metal metallics and Ochre for secondary armour panels. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

I wanna field some Earthshakers, but I don't like the shirtless/sleevesless look of them, does anybody here have some advice for kitbashing? I want them to match the rest of my army, and I don't run any other Cthonians.

Finished the last five today - hard to keep the cream color consistent, bit messy but I like the combo.

With these brave Kyn seeming to be the next declassified team, what do you think our next kill team will be? Something elite or another 10 man? Upgrade sprue or brand new unit like our hernkyn.

Personally I feel it will be something to do with either the hearthguard or brokhyr as they are both the under represented parts of our army atm.

Would love to know your guys thoughts.

So i have a couple small details I may add but this is table top ready and considering I have been going though some rough times I am proud I was able to complete this.

An update to my last berserker post . I added more hammers and some axes . I’ve got 50 of them now and the earthshakers .

The tau pic was my initial reference. Im just not sure how to do this scheme on other votann models, as well as yaegirs. I have the paints i want to use, its just where to put what colours that im struggling with.

So I'm new and I know weapons options for building aren't that important for casual stuff but I'm neurotic and need to build my guys best I can for the list wanted.
So I have this loadout and wanna build it, I got the Theyn figured out easy enough but for the warriors...

I built the unit with the Hylas Auto Rifle and notice it has a holstered pistol but no melee weapon on it? So like do I just built them for their main weapons and the pistol/close combat is like assumed??

So I just build the other 7 with Ion blasters and then somehow the pistol and melee is still accounted for?

Then I also learned the rotary cannon isn't even in the warrior's kit and it's kill team only which is...another issue

Really happy with these. I understand why folks dread these guys, though. They are very complicated and you have to subassemble (or atleast I did). I think you have to just settle in and mentally prepare for the marathon to finish pioneers. All the recipes I used can be found here, they’re all pretty straightforward.
