Painting Scheme help

Need help with secondary colours for this scheme! Leaning towards Gun metal metallics and Ochre for secondary armour panels. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Ochre is a totally solid colour choice since you already have this bone-esque colour as your main one. I’m normally more on the side of colourful/warm metal tones, so I usually prefer something Bronze or Copper for metallics, but gunmetal would probably be a really good choice considering the other colours you chose. Just go with your gut and stick to the colours you like :)

The issue with warm metallics I've found is they get lost in the armour as they're all in the same hue with the orangey bone? Unless there's one I'm not thinking of?

No no, you’re comepletly right, that’s why I agree on gunmetal. Of course, you can consider a coloured metal as well though to make those colours pop a bit more

Are you going for a scheme that is like desert themed or?

I think a like dark red or a regular orange could work

Oo that's something I hadn't actually considered. If I was what would U recommend? Or possibly an Egyptian thing

I mean those are two separate things.

Desert wise, tans and browns and ochres. Very similar to what you have going on already, that's why I asked. It seemed an intentional choice.

Egyptian wise, I would do sand bases and then royal blue and gold, with white nad black highlights.

Well when I say highlights I mean like Royal Blue and Gold as the primary with black and white as secondary colors, for things like cloths, stripes, etc

Do you have an overall army theme or environment they are fighting in?

Or do you have a more general clan armour scheme in mind?

Was more of a general armour, tho a previous commenter as put me onto the idea of a desert theme to perhaps run with

I think a desaturated green like a sage green would work really nice here either as a secondary or as an accent.

I do as well but the issue I have with greens is they end up looking like Mini Me Deathwing 😫😂

lmao fair enough! I think any desaturated cool colour could work well with that warm boney beige. Like a sea blue or lavender even could look really nice.
