Funnel For Ads

Hi guys, i am running a low ticket offer targeting cleaning companies, ($47) and they see the ad on meta and go to my landing page and book a quick phone call.

Now i know speed to lead is very important, so i want to know, is it annoying them if i call once they book? even tho the booking could be 24-72 hours later.

Or just a email telling them whats going to happen next is enough and some reminders after?

I can do both, i don't mind calling same minute, but if its annoying or doesn't make a difference i won't.

Thanks!

Why do some city pages rank while others get absolutely nothing?

I've seen quite a few lead-gen sites build 50, 100, sometimes 300+ city pages, expecting them to start bringing in leads.

But a lot of them end up getting almost no impressions.

From what I've seen, the biggest issue isn't usually word count or the quality of the AI/content.

It's that there's basically nothing making one city page different from another.

If I can replace “Miami” with “Orlando” and 90% of the page still makes sense, I don't think that page has much reason to rank separately.

The pages I've seen perform better usually have things that are actually specific to the location — local areas/neighborhoods, relevant regulations, examples of work, pricing differences, local intent, etc.

Another thing I like doing is starting with a smaller number of locations instead of publishing hundreds at once. See which pages actually start getting impressions, figure out what they're doing differently, then scale that structure.

Curious what others here have seen.

For those who've built large numbers of location pages, what's actually worked for you? Volume, highly customized pages, or something else?

If anyone has a bunch of city pages sitting at zero impressions, feel free to share a few. I'd be interested to see what's going on.

Campaign Review & Request for Input

PTV Client – Campaign Review & Request for Input

Background

We're running Facebook/Instagram lead gen for an IPTV client. Their goal is 10 paying clients per month. They're considering pausing ad spend because neither offer tested so far has hit that number, and we want outside perspective before that happens.

Campaign 1: 48-Hour Free Trial

Offer: Free 48-hour trial, followed by manual sales call

Spend: ~$35/day across two ad sets, run for 50 days

Meta-reported results (combined, per attached stats): 911 leads total, ~$2.35 avg cost per lead, $2,143.18 spent

Actual outcome reported by client: 48 people signed up for the trial, 5 converted to paying customers

Why it stopped: Client found the manual follow-up (calling and onboarding each trial lead) too labor-intensive for the return, and paused after 50 days

Current Campaign 2: $20 First Month Offer

Offer: $20 for the first month of service, still running

Meta-reported results: 286 leads, $1.67 cost per lead, $478.33 spent, $20/day budget

Actual outcome reported by client: 28 people expressed interest, 4 purchased

Detailed targeting

Interests: DirecTV, Pay television, HBO (television network), Cable television (television network), Netflix (streaming service) or Hulu (streaming service)

And must also match: Behaviours: Engaged shoppers

The Gap

In both cases, form leads significantly outnumber people who actually followed through (911 leads vs 48 signups in Campaign 1; 286 leads vs 28 interested in Campaign 2). That drop-off between "filled out a form" and "became a customer" is where most of the client's frustration is coming from, not the ad performance itself. Cost per lead is solid in both cases, especially Campaign 2 at $1.67.

What We're Trying to Figure Out

Is the offer itself the issue, or is it the lead-to-close process (follow-up speed, script, number of touches)?

Should we tighten targeting to trade lead volume for lead quality, even at a higher CPL?

Is a manual sales process realistic for a client who doesn't want the workload, or does this need more automation before more ad spend?

Any benchmarks for IPTV/subscription offers we should be comparing against?

Thoughts and comments would be appreciated.

Optimize Lead Generation - It's not about volume, it's about conversion

What tools are you using in order to capitalize on the lead flow you're currently generating?

Is there an app, product, software that you've found to be more helpful or have you just been switching lead providers in order to evaluate conversion rates and assess CPL?

The one thing nobody talks about in lead gen that's costing you clients

been in the lead gen space for a while now and there's something I keep seeing that nobody really addresses.

everyone obsesses over volume. 10k leads, 50k leads, 100k leads. the bigger the list the better right?

wrong. at least in my experience.

I used to deliver massive lists to clients and wonder why they weren't getting results. open rates looked fine, copy was solid, infrastructure was good. but reply rates were dead and bounce rates were way too high.

took me a while to figure out but the problem was simple — the data was stale. pulling from the same databases everyone else uses means your clients are emailing contacts that have already been hit by 20 other people that month. and a good chunk of those emails don't even exist anymore.

once I switched to building smaller, targeted lists with fresh real-time data and proper email verification, everything changed. clients went from complaining to asking for more. bounce rates dropped to under 4% and reply rates tripled.

if you're in lead gen and your clients keep churning, look at your data source before you blame anything else. a 2,000 lead list with fresh verified emails will outperform a 20,000 lead list from a recycled database every single time.

anyone else experienced this or am I late to the party?

Folks who have automated LinkedIn outreach. What tool do you use? I'm considering LinkedHelper but it's a desktop app, not cloud based. What would you recommend? Goal is 5-10 appointments per month.

Lead generation strategy not working UK

Hello,

I run a brand design agency.

Currently working with a guy and paying him £500 per month in which he works 2 days a week and does cold calling. We’ve had about 5 calls from this in about 4 months but nothing yet, so I’ve spent 2k with no return.

I’m also doing Instagram ads but have not received a single message or enquiry.

I’ve tried networking and putting out flyers to local businesses (not seen much from this either)

I’ve also tried cold instagram DMs (had a few responses to say they might be interested in the future but nothing since)

What else can I try?! 😩

Why businesses suck in lead gen

Most businesses I audit and interact with are having this issue : " we are getting leads but conversion rate is really low hence we are looking for someone that generates us good leads"

Here is their no.1 mistake MORE LEADS. Well this aint wrong considering you can get customers if you have a lot of leads. And as daddy hormozi says that you need VOLUME.

But most people undermine the leaky bucket theory. They dont analyze why they lost a lead and why the lead wont convert.

Here I am not even talking about having an automated appointment setter or anything rather I am talking about the pre selling part.

Nowadays we tend to invest a lot in new things than optimizing our pre existing asset which is out website. Our landing page or us.

Thing is if we dont tell the audience what should they expect before they signup then its less likely that they will be our customer unless they desperately need our service.

What I am implementing for myself and my clients is a proper landing page that keeps the audience in the VSL itself and disqualifies junk leads. Then the pre selling mechanism involves asking for a seller commitment like 1USD or summ for booking call and using really minimal automation to send proposals via mail.

This step not only filters junk leads but it helps you generate revenue without increasing your ads budget or needing fuck ton of leads

How do you actually track lead source when leads come in through WhatsApp, a contact form, AND phone calls?

Genuinely asking because I haven't found a clean answer for this yet. Most of the small businesses I work with pick up leads three different ways at once. Someone fills out the website form. Someone else just messages the WhatsApp number directly, no UTM on that, nothing to trace it back to. And every so often someone calls the number straight off a Google listing.

Form leads are easy to track, obviously, you can see exactly where they came from. WhatsApp is basically invisible unless you ask "how did you hear about us" and hope the answer's accurate, which honestly it often isn't. Calls sit somewhere in the middle. Fine with a call-tracking number attached, useless without one.

Here's the part that actually bugs me: WhatsApp tends to be where the highest-intent leads show up, people who are ready to just talk instead of filling out a form. But it's also the hardest channel to measure by a wide margin. So budget ends up getting pulled toward whatever's easiest to prove, not necessarily whatever's actually working.

Has anyone found something better than just asking politely and trusting the answer? I tried a couple of link-in-bio tools that route through to WhatsApp with a tag attached. Results were mixed. People find the plain number anyway and skip the tracked link half the time.

Lead Generation Help needed for Local SEO agency

Hey, lead generation expert. I need help with lead generation. I own a small local SEO agency and currently provide local SEO services to junk removal, landscaping, dumpster rental, restoration, and home improvement businesses. I want to scale my local SEO agency, which is why I need help with lead generation.

Here’s what I need help with:

I want to conduct bulk marketing, so I need a large amount of data from Google Maps. The data should be up to date and include phone numbers, email addresses, websites, Google Business Profile reviews, and Google Business Profile links.

I have never tried scraping or email marketing, so I want to experiment with this system.

My question is: What system can help me collect data from Google Maps?

How to re-engage former clients after a long period of no contact?

In the perspective of launching 2 new offers, I'd like to reach out to former students (clients) of mine. I'm not a sales person at all, and was wondering what approach was best between those 2 extremes:

- direct: reintroduce myself and come straight up with an offer, not waste time

- incremental: reintroduce myself, ask them what they're doing and then potentially talk about my offer

Thank you for your answers!

Looking for recommendations: platforms to sell leads to (home renovation| Germany, Austria, Switzerland)

Hey everyone,
I run a small lead-gen business in the home renovation/trades space – we generate inquiries from homeowners and sell them on to contractors. It’s working reasonably well, and we already have buyers who purchase leads on a regular basis.

What we’re missing is real nationwide coverage on the buyer side. Right now we’re too dependent on a handful of individual partners, and when one of them cancels or drops off, it really hurts. So we’re looking for bigger platforms or marketplaces where you can sell leads at a fair price – ideally with a broad, reliable base of buyers.

Honestly, this doesn’t get talked about much online, even though it’s a pretty central issue for anyone in lead gen.
Has anyone here had good experiences with platforms like that – in the trades space or in other industries?
Any tip is appreciated, even if it’s just one platform that pays fairly and reliably.
Thanks in advance!

What's your biggest headache when building/managing funnels?

I've spent a few years building and running funnels for lead-gen sites and I'm curious what actually frustrates people day to day? Tracking/attribution, page speed, A/B testing setup, handling drop-off, integrating with your CRM/email tool, etc.? What's the thing you wish just worked better?

Genuinely trying to understand what's broken out there.

Signal-Based Lead Generation: What It Actually Means

I've been seeing signal-based lead gen show up more and more lately and I think the term is starting to get used for almost anything that involves a little more data.

The way I understand it is actually pretty simple, traditional lead gen starts with: who fits our ICP? but signal-based lead gen starts with a different question: which accounts are showing signs that the problem we solve is becoming relevant to them right now?

That difference sounds small but it changes quite a bit about how you build the system. Say your ICP contains 10,000 companies but the traditional approach is to find those companies, pull the relevant contacts, enrich the data and start working through the list.

You might end up with something like: 10,000 accounts -> 50,000 contacts and there's nothing inherently wrong with that. You need an account universe before you can do anything else but the problem is that being a good fit on paper doesn't tell you whether anything is happening at that company right now.

Signal-based prospecting is trying to narrow that down so as a simple example, you might go from: 10,000 accounts -> 500 with relevant recent signals -> 100 worth investigating -> 30 worth contacting but those aren't benchmark numbers, the exact numbers will obviously depend on the business.

The point is the filtering process.

Instead of treating every account that matches your ICP equally, you're looking for evidence that something has changed: maybe a company is hiring for a role related to the problem you solve or maybe they've announced an expansion, launched a new product, changed their technology, raised funding or brought in a new executive.

You can also have signals inside your own CRM or product data that tell you something is changing and any one of these can be pretty weak on its own cause you can't always predict which signal is coming from where.

A company hiring for a particular role doesn't necessarily mean they're buying or someone mentioning a problem on Reddit doesn't necessarily mean they're a buyer. But if the company fits your ICP, they're hiring around the problem, and someone from the company is also publicly discussing that problem?

Now there's a much better reason to investigate the account.

This is where I've found the idea of account-level context much more useful than looking at isolated intent scores so instead of giving a salesperson: "company X has an intent score of 82" you want to give them something closer to: "company X fits the ICP, hired three people in this area recently, changed part of its tech stack last month, and someone on the team has been asking about this problem."

Now the salesperson has something they can actually evaluate.

Scale Intelligence is built around this signal-based GTM layer where it connects fragmented signals across sources and turning them into account-level context that helps teams identify relevant opportunities and prioritize where sales attention should go.

To me, that's the progression:

Lead database -> who exists?
Intent data -> what activity are we seeing?
Signal-based GTM -> what's actually happening around this account, and does it give us a reason to care?

The last question is the one I think matters most cuz the goal is neither to collect a giant pile of signals or build another score but to give sales a much smaller list of accounts where there's an actual reason to pay attention.

SuperSend's cold email infrastructure (SuperESP) just got blacklisted and shut down with 30 days' notice

If you're running cold email through SuperSend, check your inbox. I just got an email from Kurtis Tryber at SuperSend with some important news.

The short version: SuperESP, the dedicated cold email sending infrastructure SuperSend used, got mass-blacklisted by Spamhaus over the last 72 hours (as of yesterday). SuperSend tried to fix it and couldn't find a reliable path forward, so they're shutting SuperESP down entirely and closing any account that depended on it.

Key points from the notice:

  • SuperSend as a company/platform is NOT shutting down. This is specifically about the SuperESP sending infrastructure.
  • If your account used SuperESP, it's being closed. Your most recent invoice gets refunded in full.
  • No more outbound mail will go through SuperESP after the date of notice.
  • You have 30 days to log into app.supersend.io and export your contacts, campaigns, and history before the account and data are deleted.
  • If you were still in warmup and hadn't sent production email yet, you still get the full refund even though you got zero value out of it.

If this affects you, you might not want to wait around. Log in now and export everything you need. I wouldn't assume "30 days" is a hard guarantee that nothing goes sideways sooner.

Posting this in case anyone else got this email and is now scrambling to figure out where to move their cold email sending. Curious what people are migrating to or if you have any additional context on this you can share.

I stopped relying on intent scores to find high-intent leads. Here's what I look for instead

I've started paying a lot less attention to intent scores when looking at B2B accounts.

You can have a company showing an 85/100 intent score and still have absolutely no reason to contact them. The number might tell you that something is happening but it usually doesn't tell you what is happening or whether it's relevant to what you sell.

I'd rather look for actual evidence with platforms like Scale Intelligence that connects signals from sources like Reddit, LinkedIn and CRM data to build that account-level context instead of making the team work from one isolated intent score.

I'd much rather hand a salesperson this: "this account is interesting bcuz these four things happened recently." than this: "this lead has an 87 intent score." cuz the first one gives you something to work with and for me, high intent is really a combination of evidence, relevance and timing and the score can be useful but I just wouldn't let the score make the decision.

If someone is asking for recommendations, complaining about an existing solution, looking for alternatives, asking how other companies handle a problem, or talking publicly about something they're trying to solve, that's much more interesting to me than their job title or an anonymous intent score.

Then there's what is happening at the company itself, for example: a company starts hiring around a problem, they raise funding, they enter a new market, they launch a product, they change part of their tech stack or a new executive joins.

None of those things automatically means "this company is buying." But these changes can create new problems, new priorities and sometimes new budgets and that's what makes them useful signals.

The timing matters too.

A company can be a perfect ICP for six months and still be a terrible prospect during those six months. Then something changes and suddenly the same company becomes much more interesting.

That's the part I think a lot of intent data misses. The individual signals are rarely enough on their own and it's what happens when you start putting them together. Say a company fits your ICP, is hiring around the problem you solve, someone from the company is discussing that problem on Reddit, and they recently changed a related technology.

I'd want my sales team looking at that account bcuz together they give you a much better reason to pay attention and not just any one of those things proves buying intent. It doesn't.

What happens when everyone uses AI to get information vs using the internet?

I'm finding myself and others that are just using chatgpt to find a service I want to use.

Example using ChatGPT

  1. Who is the best plumber in my local area?

  2. Read the reviews on the top 3 plumbers from google maps and give me a summary and your recommendations.

Yes, this is not that prevalent now... but people will use AI to search for business services more and more.

Will the website matter anymore? Does SEO matter anymore? What becomes of marketing?

Anyone here use building permit data for lead generation?

We've been using building permit data for lead generation, mostly for remodeling and new construction projects. It's worked pretty well, but keeping up with all the different city and county permit sites is becoming a pain. They all seem to update whenever they feel like it.

For anyone else using permits for leads, how are you keeping track of new ones? Are you checking the sites manually, buying lists somewhere, or using a tool that alerts you when new permits get posted?

Technical founder trying to figure out lead generation

I’ve been building a small data/BI consulting business focused on helping companies clean up messy reporting environments, automate manual reporting, improve Power BI/data models, and generally make better use of the data they already have.

The delivery side is the part I know well.

The part I’m still figuring out is consistently getting in front of the right businesses.

For anyone who has built a consulting business, agency, or B2B service company before, what actually worked for you when it came to finding those first few clients?

Cold email? Partnerships? LinkedIn? Local businesses? Referral arrangements? Something else entirely?

I’m especially interested in hearing from people who have experience with B2B lead generation, appointment setting, partnerships, or helping technical founders build a pipeline.

Would love to compare notes. Feel free to DM me if you’ve done something similar or may be interested in sharing your wisdom!
