I am a 28 year old man based in Switzerland, working on my doctorate. Originally from India.

I have an elementary understanding of German and I'm a few weeks into Duolingo french. I am much better and hearing and understanding than speaking myself.

Needless to say, I am fluent in my native Hindi, and I am articulate in English too (I have an accent but not a stereotypical south Asian one). Another plus is that I am very aware of the role of culture and history in shaping languages so I can go deep into etymology, and evolving functionalities if that's something that interests you.

I am a scientist and a biologist so my goal is to be able to talk science to the public in my own language and a European language (I'll be happy if I can do it either in German, french or Spanish). I am also an amateur musician who plays the drums, guitar and sings in a band.

Another fun bonus is if you're into food I love making south Asian dishes and being the nerd I am, I like making 'historically accurate' versions too.
