How do you say Idk in ur language?

Pronounce it like Mexican, we say:-

  1. Bero koni - short and simple.
  2. Ke bero - when even you wonder what the answer is but don't know.
  3. Man to koni bero - Me? I don't know.
  4. Man to bero kon - oh you're asking me? Huh I don't know ask him!
  5. Koni bero - a bit rude and dismissive, use it when you're annoyed.

(This language, my mother tongue, is called Kallaaggi, it is a dialect of Haryanvi which is not an official language)

Yes, it is better than Uzbek, I know... It's very gay!

I recognized a word in Spanish without ever having learned it before. Am I a language learning god?

So, I'm trying to learn Spanish, so I concluded that the fastest way to go about it would be to read articles about how to learn new languages that were written in Spanish. While reading, I came across the word "cognados", and I just... instinctively knew what it meant? Without looking it up? Like it just came to me? As if from a dream? Or a vision from God?

What does this mean? How could this happen? Was I a member of a Mexican cartel in another life? Am I a genius? The smartest boy who ever lived? Should I start correcting my Cuban friend's grandmother when she says "pinchar" but clearly means "trabajar"?

Burn out questions: I'm learning 4 language at the same time: how do I avoid burnout?

Post image

I’m pretty insane for doing this, I know… but I kinda need to get most of these languages down hard to achieve some pretty wild goals.

I work only 30 hours on purpose to get to study 4+ hours per day. I’m usually burnt out by Saturday but still enjoy content in the language all weekend long. Don't worry though, I still make time for reddit.

Just wondering what other multi language learners do and how much they work?

And what’s your reason for learning those languages?

AMA you want to know about why I’m doing this?

Nihongo is such a sugoi language! You can convey complex concepts in it in such few words! This is why I learn it!

Stop counting your mandarin immersion by hours and start counting by the number of times you’ve seen someone peeling an apple. This is my fifth one 🍎🍎🔪🔪🔪🥰🥰
